It has helped me to respect my body more. Workouts are important, but so is rest.
My favorite post was definitely the one about giving up makeup! I stopped wearing much makeup two years ago, and I feel much more confident!
Undoubtedly I was most impacted by the post and subsequent discussion on wearing make-up. I was surprised to see how many women out there go without and never even give it a second thought. I used that to challenge myself and my reliance on it and now commit to make-up free weekends!
Thanks Ange!
OSG has helped me to come to a more cheerful perspective on days when I didn’t think anything could. And also lots of ideas for GMs!
SGBC has made me realize what a strong, beautiful body I have and how I respect it more and more each day!
Thannks!
SGBC has inspired me in so many ways! My favorite post was the Dear Body…after everything I’ve put my body through, it was so inspiring to reflect on how good it has been to me and reflect on that. Thanks Angela!
Reading about your entire jouney has been SO relatable to me. Your open and honest posts about your struggles made me feel like less of a disaster for also having those issues. I also feel like you have influenced me to consiously have POSITIVE thoughts about my body – and thank it!
Yay for Amazing Grass!!
SGBC has helped me to appreciate my body on those days when I normally wouldn’t. Our bodies are amazing and they deserve positivity every day! Thanks, OSG!
I have to say, I most enjoyed Wigg’s ab exercises! I can see myself turning to these when I get bored with my routine, her comments are hilarious and I love setting the laptop on the table, picking a few to do and laughing my butt of while I do them!
The second, the SECOND! I first tried Amazing Grass-I could feel it! Just like caffine wakes you up, I felt more alive after just 1 little sip!
SGBC made me realize that I don’t have to do much, I just have to do it! It also opened my eyes and after doing the exercises I thought, well hey that didn’t take that long and it wasn’t that bad and i feel great about myself! And I started my running again because of this program. It just has impacted me into getting back into the groove!
I loved the post on running and distractions. It has changed the way I run forever.

I loved the “dear body” post. My body has been through the ringer with a tough regime of chemotherapy over the past few months. My body is kicking cancer’s butt and I seemed to keep dwelling on the fact that it has also been changing along the way. I loved the Dove video!! My body is getting me through a crappy disease and for that alone, I LOVE IT :) Thanks Angela for the awesome boot camp :)
SGBC has impacted me in a positive way by helping me see that my body is fine just the way it is. If I want to get healthier and improve my body in the mean time, that’s great. SGBC has helped me to become more aware of what kinds of foods I’m putting into my body and how I’m fuling it. Overall, SGBC has just helped me rediscover myself and realize that I’m GREAT!
Learning to Love the Journey… I loved that post and that message. I think that it is something every person, male or female, could really try to grasp. SGBC is such a motivating, positive, and uplifting blog– it’s hard to feel down about yourself when you read it!
Thanks!
Hello Angela, SGBC has inspired me to love my body more and be more aware of what I am eating. I like the exercises and daily thoughts. I think you are very inspiring and should write your own book!! Rebecca
I definitely think what I loved the most about SGBC was the discussion that occured via the comments. I loved refreshing the comments page and reading what more readers had to say. In terms of posts, I enjoyed ‘Learning to Love the Journey’ the most because I could relate to so much of it. I think what I learned most from SGBC is that I am not the only one who has had insecurities about my body, and that is very refreshing to learn. And what’s more is that the important things are not in the PAST, but rather what you learn from them and what you CHOOSE to do in the FUTURE. Thanks for a wonderful program, Angela!
SGBC helped me be more accepting of myself – especially the “Dear Body” challenge. It was so refreshing to be so positive and gain a new perspective.
SGCB really changed how I look at myself and exercise. I loved loved loved the dear body exercise….as I don’t think we take enough time to value what we are so lucky to have. Also, I am slowly learning to lose the all or nothing attitude and finding a balance between living well and working hard.
Re the SGBC, I enjoyed the Feeling Great in Summer Clothes post – it made me really think about my clothes choices. I also love your blog for all of the great recipes and smoothie add-ins that you post. I’m a huge smoothie fan, but had never considered adding flax seed or wheat grass, not to mention spinach! Now I’m adding all three! thanks so much for sharing!
SGBC made me realize that losing pounds wasn’t the answer to being happy. I had a lot of internal “stuff” to sort out that was hindering my progress. All these years I had just concentrated on numbers. Thank you for an amazing journey! :)
