SGBC helped me to cardio and workouts do not have to be monotonous. Mixing it up makes for a funner workout :D
I loved the “Dear Body” post that you wrote, Ange. It was seriously moving and really struck a chord with me. I also enjoyed the variety in the exercises! Thanks for all of your hard work with SGBC.
i loved your learning to love the journey post. that is a realization i recently came to as well, and i related to all of your words. love you and everything you do, angela!
It’s made me appreciate what my body can do and that being healthy feels amazing!
SGBC has gotten me to try new things: reading blogs, new recipes, new exercises, and most importantly, made me a new online friend – thanks Angela!
I thought the goal setting posts were the best, and inspired me to set some great short term and long term goals.
Nice blog, I just added you on Twitter.
Emmett
All of the posts written during the SBBC really inspired me to get moving myself. OSG was one of the first food blogs I discovered, back in November ’08 when I was studying abroad in Rome and dreaming of making my own food again! =) The boot camp specifically gave me motivation to go on that run when I wasn’t feeling like it, and to lift those weights when I just wanted to take a nap!
SGBC has taught me not to sweat the small stuff! I used hate, hate, hate missing a workout. I used to get uncomfortable when my daily eats were not as clean as I would would like. In reality though, SGBC has taught me that life happens and there is nothing I can do about that. So really, something small like this is not a big deal and tomorrow is a new day!
SGBC has inspired me to smile at myself every time I look in the mirror.. I’m feeling great about myself!
SGBC has truly been a gift! Focusing on the mental side of things is so refreshing and SO SO necessary. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!
SGBC has inspired me to keep a routine. This is why the “keeping your eye on the prize” post was my favorite–it helped me see how to stay motivated!!
SGBC has really helped me stay motivated and not to get discouraged when I need to take a break. I loved the “Learning to love the Journey” post. Happy Friday!
My favorite post was Make-Up Can We Live Without It? I never leave the house without at least some sort of cosmetic product on my face. I have been able to go to the gym on the weekends with my messy morning hair and no makeup, this is a big step for me! I have also tried to use more natural products, and get naturally beautiful skin.
Out of all of SGBC, “Learning to Love the Journey” affected me the most. It’s not always about getting this workout or that done, but the road that gets us there, and that we also need to stop and forgive ourselves.
Just tweeted about the contest too! :D
Your Keeping Our Eye On The Prize post sticks out in my head because it was really cute :)
off to go work on my photography submission!! Woo hoo!
I enjoyed SGBC because it wasn’t something I was doing on my own and it was a great way to reflect on and appreciate my body. I may want to be in better shape, but it’s not about that, it’s about the journey and appreciating what I am doing! Woohoo!
My absolute favorite post was the one on “one of your biggest life lessons”. It was so genuine and beautiful. I too feel like I have come along way. I am so proud and thankfull that I can run at all even if it is not the fastest.SGBC has made feeling good about my body easy, because it makes me feel strong and healthy….body and mind. Thank you so much.
I loved your post about makeup. I’ve been “make-up free” all week and I tell ya, it’s truely been liberating! I’m also really excitied to try amazing grass!!
I loved the core exercises…some great new plank variations. I’d love to try some Amazing Grass.
