I wasn’t an active participant in SGBC but I do follow along and take many of your ideas to work into my own personal workouts. I challenge myself to do longer side planks because I figure if you all can do them, then so can I!
For me, the biggest change has been greeeen monsters! :D love em
The best thing I learned going through SGBC is that the days I exercise I feel better, even if I have to “talk myself into it”. I always feel great later.
My favorite post was “Keep your eye on the prize”, the tools for staying motivated and keeping the Big Picture in mind.
I loved when I saw today’s post about zucchini!! Before I logged on I was wondering what to do with all mine, I just got 3 more out of my garden this morning and have to come up with new ways to use it!! (otherwise it’s going to end up in neighbor’s mailboxes!) ha!
Thanks again for this opportunity, Angela. LOVE your site, and LOVE my Amazing Grass…
YOU and the challenge completely inspired me to go make up free..and feel beautiful! I also loved Bobbi’s mini boot camp!
Wow what a giveaway! I think the biggest things I have learned, 1. Green Monsters rock!, 2. To love myself the way I am, 3. To not fear and do what you love!
I want to say that your website is awesome. I have been taking Amazing Grass products since coming to your blog. My Magic Bullet does not blend spinach to well so had to forego the GM. The products are amazing and to win would be blessing. I love that you help women love themselves. Keep on loving!
Congrats on 9 months!!
As for SGBC, it has helped me value my body and love all its imperfections because it reminded me that even if I don’t have rock hard abs, I have a body that can run and jump and lift things and loves to be challenged to do all sorts of new things! Thanks for the challenge, and for the amazing prizes!!
I loved the SGBC post on learning to love the journey. I think it is so easy to get caught up in how much better things will be if our bodies look different. This post really made me take notice of all the things I had been missing out on when thinking like that. So thank you, Angela!
I didn’t participate in SGBC, but I think my favorite post was your first race recap. I’ve been wanting to sign up for one for a while, and so it was encouraging to see a newbie succeed!
I liked Caitlin’s “Stay Motivated” post. This summer I’ve been so great at my regular runs that when I went on vacation I was disappointed with not keeping up with those workouts and the healthy eating. I gained two pounds and I think I lost a little of my running mojo. It was hard to start again after the two-week mini-hiatus, but the post made me remember to keep in mind my goal–by the end of the summer I want to run 13.1 miles (not in a race… just to say I did it, haha). So I’m back on the bandwagon, working my mileage back up, and I love it :) Thanks for the great giveaway!
The SGBC as well as your blog in general has helped me appreciate my body more. I can be so critical of myself and tend to obsess over tiny details. The truth is you made me realise I should be grateful to be strong and healthy, and also appreciative of the body I have right now because to be honest it also looks really good and I should be happy about it !! Thanks for everything you do you are a great inspiration and your blog is definitely my favorite and always inspires me to be healthy !
The most memorable SGBC moment for me was the going without makeup. I almost always have makeup on and used to feel terrible without it, worrying I would run into someone I knew. Them I decided to give my skin a break and go without, let it breathe.
I would say that it has been so encouraging to see another young woman seeking to be healthy in her own life, cooking good meals, and still being focused on giving, laughing, loving, and sharing with others.
Gotta love OSG!
I never signed up officially for the SGBC but I would say that I attempted to actively participate in the daily exercises, that combined with my new found love for running I’ve lost 5 pounds and 1 in off my waist and .5 off my hips! The program as well as your blog have helped me treat my body better overall! And I would love love love to win all that amazing grass! Thanks for the opportunity to win!

9 months and almost 800 posts?! WOW. Congrats — you must be so proud of this feat… not to mention the readership you have picked up along the way!
The SGBC has definitely impacted my life in a positive way. Although I have been running and racing long distances for nearly 4 years now, keeping up with the SGBC has taught me to really LISTEN TO MY BODY. If I’m feeling sluggish, I stop. If I’m feeling pain that is more than just mildly annoying, I stop. I’m running 3-4 days per week instead of my usual 5-6 and have never felt better… plus I’ve jumped on the bandwagon of eating things like kale and chia seeds… everyone in my life is asking “what the heck is that???” haha
Again, thanks to Ange and her daily comment crew for their motivational encouragement :)
I have learned to enjoy exercise, not fret about rest days and come back stronger!
SGBC definately gotten me motivated to take a look at my habits and re-evaluate what was important to me – the biggest thing being my health! If I have to pick just one favorite post it would be the interval training workout – I love it – It definately keeps me from getting bored. Thanks for all your tips and tricks – we all appreciate it!
My favorite post was the “Makeup: Can we live without it?” Post!Growing up with two brothers I always felt slightly annoyed that they were not expected to “put on their face” before going out the door everyday, as many women are expected to. Now I realize that I can forgo the makeup once in a while too and let the natural beauty shine through. My skin appreciates these bare days, and I appreciate the way I can now buy and wear makeup for fun to enhance natural features, not cover up flaws! Thanks for the great post Angela!
I have realized the importance of listening to your body by fueling it right and giving it rest. I also learnt about so many healthy foods like hemp and chia seeds which I can’t wait to incorporate once I can buy them.
I love this site because it has taught me that I don’t have to be on a diet for life to have the body I want! Thank you for your wonderful insights and inspiration =)
