My favorite post was the very first one. The Dear Body post really hit home for me. I’m pretty sure I had some tears in my eyes after reading your Dear Body letter. It’s so easy to think of all the things we hate about our body, but to finally sit down & write what I loved about my body just flat out rocked! Thank you so much for starting SGBC with such a positive note!
I love love love your blog and hope to see a fall boot camp in the future :)
I just recently discovered your blog, so am glad that you posted the whole Summer Glow Boot Camp series in one place for me to catch up on it! I am at the very beginning of my journey to lead a happier, healthier lifestyle, and your blog has been very inspirational to take the first steps! I will be getting ingredients this weekend for my first Green Monster and I would love to win the Amazing Grass giveaway!
I loved the dear body post. It really helped me learn to appreciate my body. Thanks!
Hi Angela, the post that I keep thinking about was when you discussed the importance of rest days. I seem to go hard for too long without really letting my body recoup enough. I’m now trying to be more in tune with my body and see what it needs rather than what I think I have to do.
The realization that MANY if not ALL women feel about themselves the way that I do was a real shock. Over this last month, the Dear Body post, the confrontation of all the deeply seeded negative ideas placed by others and grown out of ideas taken from media, and the shared goals of fitness and health has really driven me to open up my narrow-minded ideas about how I have treated my body. Without a doubt, this has been mind-changing and life-changing – THANK YOU.
I loved the ideas for new exercises you have been posting. I had no idea there were so many variations on planks and pushups!
I loved your Dear Body article. It really made me appreciate what my body has given me and made me realize that I need to be treating it better.
I think SGBC has helped me see what a big change you can make in a few weeks! Just adding a few exercises to my routine has really improved my strength! Thanks Angela!
I love the bikini challenges. I learn pretty good moves!
I loved discovering green monsters!
reading OSG and the challenge posts have helped me in adding more strength routines into my workouts, not feel “bad” if i miss a run, sign up for a half marathon and try things i never would have given a try…like banana soft serve! thank you Angela for hosting a great blog! you are inspiring!
xoxo
Lo
amazing grass would be a great additions in this addict’s kitch for sure!
I loved the “Keeping Our Eye on the Prize” vlog! It just came to me at the exact right moment. I was feeling in a slump & it helped pull me out! I even wrote a post about it on my blog & linked back to your video. Thank you so much for this. I have made changes in my eating & fitness based on things I learned from your boot camp…but more importantly I am starting to feel better about myself & learning to love myself inside & out.
Thank you!
First of all, I’ve never commented, but absolutely love your blog! I have always struggled with my weight, and still am. SGBC has inspired me in many ways, but I think it has inspired me the most to live in the moment, and appreciate the journey. Im so worried about tomorrow, next week, next month, that I forget about all the positive changes I did TODAY! OSG rocks my world :) Thankyou!
The joie de vivre, appreciation for food and fitness and the empowering sense of community that you work to cultive on this blog are always inspirational, as even more so during this!
I cannot even explain how the month has changed me… there are definite changes in my body but far more importantly- I have a completely different attitude. As a recovering disordered eater, a month later I appreciate my body a lot more today than then. It’s strong. It made it through all the pushups. I’m proud of it. I’m thankful for it.
Thanks Ange!
This past month has been phenomenal. I’ve made Green Monsters at least every other day and feel like I’ve got the “glow”. I began my 30 Day Shred again after stopping exercising for 4 months (tennis elbows in both arms was caused from push-ups and heavy weight lifting). I’ve been feeling more confident and although I have some ways to go from reaching my goal, I feel great! I’ve even started wearing tank tops and just the other day I treated myself to a trip to Sephora to reward myself. I feel like a million bucks. Thanks SGBC and OSG!
Wow, there were so many great SGBC posts that it is difficult for me to pick a favorite . Among these there are “Learning to Love the Journey” and “Dear Diary.” Hearing Angela be so honest really inspires me to accept myself for what I am, and not try to be anything else. Thank you, Ang. You are doing an AWESOME job!!! : )
The SGBC was fantastic because it encouraged me to try some new, wonderful exercises!!
All of the SGBC posts were really inspirational. It has helped me realize that negative thoughts and being critical of our bodies is so toxic.Focusing on health rather than how toned I am makes me much happier!
I tweeted about the contest (@intothewind) and linked to @ohsheglows. I hope I did it correctly. I wasn’t sure if I was supposed to record that on here or not.
