Stuffed Silly

March 22, 2010

Hello there :)

Day 2 in Naples…

Breakfast was a huge green monster…and then we were off to Super Target!

IMG_2801  IMG_9014

TARGET IS THE COOLEST STORE EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I died and went to heaven. I’m going to need to go back at least twice more just to see everything!

My mom and I loved the girl’s bedroom decor…I was told that ‘I must have a girl!’

 IMG_9024 IMG_9026

How cute would a child’s bathroom be with this stuff?!

IMG_9023

Oh my gosh…their dishware section!! Words cannot describe how big my pupils got.

IMG_9039  IMG_9042

For the record, I took a lot more pictures…obviously! Unfortunately my blog will combust if I post all of them.

This is what I got: 3 plastic plates, 1 plastic bowl, B12 vits (super cheap here), Halle Berry’s new perfume (smells awesome, my mom and I both got one):

IMG_2814

I can’t believe that is all I walked out with. I must go back so I can have time to try on clothes.

Eric’s only purchase (LAME!!) bahahah

IMG_2813

Then it was off to the Miromar Outlet– it is a huge outdoor outlet mall. And I mean huge…as in you live here your whole life and you might get to every store.

IMG_9077

We stopped at Subway for lunch and I got a big salad.

IMG_9074

IMG_9072

We only made a dent in this outlet. None of us bought anything either.

When we got back to our rental car, we discovered that someone had hit the car and RUN. :(

IMG_9068

We got home and I had a second lunch as that subway salad was AIR in my tummy…

  • Eziekel wrap with hummus
  • 1 orange
  • 1 apple
  • Mary’s crackers + hummus + tomato sauce

Hit the spot!

Eric and I relaxed on the porch for a while and I did some writing. Then we decided to go for a run-bike!

IMG_9124 IMG_9125

It was amazing outside. Perfect temperature and blue skies.

IMG_9131

All along the trails they have fitness stations to do different exercises.

IMG_9135 IMG_9138

I love running on vacation.

I also love having time to spend with Eric…we’ve been going mock speed for the past two years and it is nice to be able to just leave work behind for a while and not think about it.

IMG_9134

We had been gone for over 1 hour and I got worried because we weren’t sure where we were for a few minutes. I asked the hubby if we were lost and he said NOPE! hahaha…he says that always of course. ;)

Picture below: 1 hour 5 minutes: I was saying to him, ARE WE LOST??? Need…water…!

IMG_9143

But alas we made it and pulled in after 1 hour 12 minutes! I have no idea how many miles we covered but I ran quite speedy to keep up with Eric. The terrain is so flat here and I found it easier to run faster than usual.

Once home I had a banana to re fuel and lots of swamp water. Then it was time to get ready to go out for dinner. Eric and I were treating my stepdad to a belated birthday dinner at Carrabba’s. [He is a bit camera shy so don’t expect to see him on the blog!] ;)

IMG_9152 IMG_9157

I looked at the menu and there was one thing I could get that was vegan- a cheeseless veggie pizza, so I was good to go…or so I thought! When we got there we were told that they were OUT of pizza. Ummm…come again?!. Luckily the chef was very accommodating and made me a custom stir-fry.  I had a salad to start (which was decent!) and 6.5 oz of Merlot.

IMG_9168   IMG_9164

IMG_9177

Behold the biggest and most delicious stir-fry ever:

IMG_9172  IMG_9175

I cannot believe I ate it all. It was massive (the bowl was deep). I think I had about 400 servings of veggies in this dish (and probably 10 tablespoons of oil!). Everyone else loved their dishes too.

IMG_9173

I’m still crazy full and it is midnight!

Tomorrow’s plan:

  • Fort Lauderdale bound in AM
  • Checking into motel
  • Lunch: ????
  • Afternoon: parasailing + beach stuff
  • Dinner: ????
  • Bars- Irish pubs

I am pretty sure the motel has wireless, so let’s hope it works…

Night!

I get the same vitamins there- they’re just so cheap! I only wish they came in bigger containers so I didn’t have to get them so often ;)

I love target and those dishes I just saw when I was at home and absolutely loved!! I’m going to hope they go on clearance and get even cheaper! I used to work at Carrabba’s and in fact, it was my first job at 16. Definitely good food but a bit pricey. But I got half off everything so it wasn’t so bad!! What a neat trail. I wish more trails had fun things around them such as workout spots. Very nice post! Have a great day!!!

What a great workout! I love the various exercises they had throughout! And I concur, Target = best store ever! Stir fry looks amazing — and great that the chef was so accommodating!

Wow, your vacation looks (and sounds!) like so much fun!!

I *LOVE* Target, too! Ah, the simple pleasures in life. I forgot that Canada doesn’t have any Target stores… Well, guess I can never move there. ;-)

Fabulous day you had!

I love seeing you and Eric exercising together. Anytime we can incorporate our friends, loved ones or family in workouts is a treat in my eyes! It provides me extra energy and motivation.

Target is fun, I especially love the clearance clothing section. That sucks about the rental car, sorry. My car got hit twice in the parking lot when I lived in Florida, must be something about Florida drivers, hmmm.

Cute dress!

If you go back to Target, I recommend the Mossimo long and lean tanks. I have them in pretty much every color they come out with. I wear them under everything and even to work out in once in a while. Can’t beat the price!

You know that you are a super happy person when a visit to Target can make you that excited! I kinda get that way too and I have one minutes away! It is an amazing store and I did not realize that you did not have them in ON.

You guys look to be having a fabulous time and I am happy for you! Have a safe trip tomorrow!

There is nothing I dislike more than an air salad! Glad the dinner salad was more fulfilling.

I love working out when I’m on vacation. I know other people think I’m crazy but it’s so relaxing when you have all the time in the world. I have the best workouts when I’m on vacation.

dang girl, you have some self control. I am so impressed with your 1st ever target trip. I think I tried to buy the whole store the first time I went all by myself with my own money (and continue to keep buy more and more every time I go). I could live in Target!
