Happy Friday!
Well, that was a crazy 16 hours! Last night I worked in the bakery until 11pm and then I was up at 6am to get out a bunch of orders before Eric left for work. Good times. I told Eric that he can pocket all the money that he makes when selling his coworkers Glo Bars, and he has been selling a ton lately! How is that for motivation? ;) I also had to get a box of samples ready to ship to a potential retail customer.
Last night Eric and I had a music party. I worked and he painted the upstairs hallway!!
I was deemed ‘worst DJ ever’ Apparently I play too many chick songs!? Music makes work so much better.
This morning I baked from 6-9am and finally stopped for breakfast when I was finished (just in the nick of time). I was starving like a mad woman.

In the GM: 1 cup almond milk, 3 cup spinach, 1 scoop Amazing Grass wheatgrass powder, 1/2 large banana, 1 tsp maca, 1 tbsp chia seeds, ice.

Then I made half a serving of the Banana Pancake Sandwich to go along with it! I made these teeny tiny thin pancakes. They were so cute.

It was awesome!

Belly happy.
Now I am hopefully going to a lunchtime swim at the pool. I am super late so I hope I can at least squeeze out 30 mins. of swimming.

Today’s question- Have you ever transformed yourself or made a huge life change? What was it?
I recently left a career I didn’t really care that much for to pursue a career that I enjoy SO MUCH MORE. It isn’t easy..the money isn’t the best, but at least I don’t hate my job every single day!
I really transformed myself when I found health blogs like yours and dramatically changed the way I ate and the way I thought about food. It was the best transformation to date!
I moved from a small city in the country to Chicago all by myself. I didn’t know one person in Chicago so it was a great opportunity to really find myself.
I did a lot of growing during the first couple years living here. Moving by myself was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made for myself.
not yet . . . but I’m working on it!
I loved reading everyone else’s comments too.
Yeah…he can pocket the money and save up to buy you a Vita Mix, right?
I hope Eric reads your comments :)
The biggest change I undertook was the journey to get healthy and lose weight. It’s a lifelong journey! I am happier for it, too. :)
Yes I have – I FINALLY decided to get 100% serious about getting healthy.
i’m going through one right now! i’m paying off a ton of debt, i’m quiting my job in 3.5 months so i can finish my last year of school. i’m terrified, but so excited. i’ve yet to find a job to get me through the next year, but i’m determined to find one that will be good for me.
your post about confindence really got me thinking. i looked up what confidence really means, and it basically means trust. i keep repeating that to myself…
I envy your job! It’d be AWESOME to bake for a living… especially yummy Glo Bars like yours! Sadly I’ve never tasted one (:() and I’m not sure if you ship to China… do you?
Breakfast looks mmmm wonderful. The pancakes are too cute! :D

Not yet ;)
Becoming a vegetarian was a huge transformation for me. I didn’t realize it would be so BIG when I started! All of a sudden I had to pay attention to what I was eating. I started viewing food as fuel and nourishment for my body. It’s still amazing to me that for many years of my life I would eat what was convenient or tasted ‘good’ and never even thought about how it affected my body! And I’m not just talking about gaining or losing weight. I mean, giving your body what it needs to function and grow and get stronger and think!
So glad you’re enjoying your job!! Love the breakfast too! Talk about tasty!
I had previously transformed my eating habits to ones that were not so healthy. Now, I am again in the process of getting back a healthy balance, with a little help from my new found blogging hobby!
I’m also in the process of making the decision about where I want my career to go, which is leaning in a completely OPPOSITE direction of what I’ve always done. LOTS to think about I guess! YIKES!
I’m making those pancakes for breakfast this weekend. Just sayin :)
Funny that you mention that. I *just* made a monumental change. I quit my desk job. I put in my notice a week ago to pursue to fitness field. I’m currently a personal trainer, and want to put as much time, work, and dedication into it as I can!
Whohoo!
I have lost 50lbs over the past year and a half, I’ve completely changed my life. I exercise now and I eat healthy food. I’m so much happier.
I LOVE that stack of pancakes- looks delicious!
yum the pancakes look great!
Music definately helps with work/cleaning!
Yum!! I just ate lunch, but that made me hungry again. I am definitely trying those this weekend. :)
My husband and I have music debates as well. We love to crank the radio and get work done, but never agree on the station. We have to trade off every 20-30 minutes or so to keep up the motivation. hahaha
Going vegetarian was definitely a huge transformation and life change. It made me have to stop and think about what foods I put into my body. After researching vegetarian-ism, I realized that I didn’t want to just stop eating meat. There are so many things out there that we eat because they are put in front of us, but are so unhealthy! Movies like Food-Inc and books like Food Matters and Food Rules have helped me to become a more conscious consumer.
Losing over 90 pounds has definitely been a big life change. Maintaining is a bit harder than I thought it would be, but eating cleaner definitely helps.
I think the greatest transformation I made in my life happened recently when I decided to cut out preservatives and chemicals from my diet. I don’t want to eat anything that isn’t NATURALLY amazing — so trans fats and high fructose corn syrup can take a hike. They can take those freaky oils with them, too.
I feel incredible and have noticed a change in my outward appearance, too! :)
