‘I don’t have a goal weight, I have a goal life.’
I heard this quote while watching an interview with an Extreme Weight Loss participant and it really clicked with me!
Along my journey, I realized that a certain number on the scale wouldn’t magically make my life perfect. For years I chased this number while becoming more and more unhappy.
I now focus on creating the life that I want, by taking small steps each day. It’s about how I feel each day when I wake up. If I wake up happy and eager to start the day, I know I’m on the right track. A certain number can’t dictate my happiness, but I can make changes in my life to feel my best.
While, I’m busy baking up orders today, I thought it would be fun to have a Glo Bar giveaway!
Leave a comment below sharing a lesson you’ve learned along your journey or simply share one of your favourite quotes.
One lucky winner will receive a delicious box of 10 Glo Bars! Goodluck!

Ive learned a lot of lessons, ones that i could have gone with out ever learning. But one of the greatest lessons ive learned to date is that material things don’t really mean as much as you’d think. About 3 years ago i had a house fire that burned all of my belongings. At the time it seemed like a tragedy but looking back on the experience it somehow made me feel free and as if i had a new start. So now i dont put too much emphasis on what i have, instead i concentrate on all the things money can’t buy.
I’ve learned you’ve got to love, and trust, yourself first. And that your saying “you are so much stronger than you think you are” gets me through really tough times!
I’ve learned that we create our own happiness. We can’t depend on a certain person or count on a certain event happening to make us happy, we have to breathe, live, and create the happiness ourselves. Live every day to it’s fullest and make it a happy one :)
“Though no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start now and make a brand new ending.”
—Carl Bard
I’ve learned that I can’t be responsible for the happiness of others. For some reason I used to feel responsible if the people in my life were unhappy, somehow I thought it was my fault and I had to change myself or do something to ensure the happiness of others. While I can try to empower and encourage those around me, ultimately people have to make the choice for themselves.
I continue to tell myself and others…I am not on a diet plan, I am on a lifestyle plan. Helps keep my Peace of Mind and not obess over the 8-10lbs that I tend to go up and down with over the years…I fuel my body with health foods :) I eat to live, not live to eat …
“Even after all this time, the Sun never says to the Earth, ‘You owe me.’ Look what happens with a love like that — it lights up the whole sky.” — Hafiz
This quote always reminds me to be grateful and happy every day and to keep negative emotions like jealousy, guilt, embarrassment, insecurity and fear out of my life. :)
new favorite quote i recently stumbled upon…
“I believe in pink. I believe that laughing is the best calorie burner. I believe in kissing, kissing a lot. I believe in being strong when everything seems to be going wrong. I believe that happy girls are the prettiest girls. I believe that tomorrow is another day and I believe in miracles.”
— Audrey Hepburn
I struggle with binge/emotional eating. That’s how I came upon your website. I’ve learned that no matter what situation I’m going through I am not alone and I’m not the only one that has gone through it. If others have gotten through it I can too.
You’re only as strong as you let yourself become
My favorite quote at the moment would have to be “Everyone thinks of changing the world, but no one thinks of changing himself.” by Leo Tolstoy. It acts as a reminder that I can only control my own actions in spite of my desire to save the ones that I love from their self-destructive habits. Only them have the power to overcome their personal issues and change their life for the better.
1201 comments! HOLY!!!!!!!!! :)
I’ll try!
My fav is one I heard on here. You are so much stronger than you think. I try to remember that all the time. I think it’s hard sometimes to see the strength that we have, so this is always a good reminder for me!! :)
I’ve only had 1 taste of glow bars and it was LOVE!

My favourite mantra that I repeat to myself eveyday is “Open Heart, Open Mind.” It’s been proven to me over and over again that when things don’t go as I want, they are going as the Universe needs them to go for my part of my own evolution and for the sake of the Universe’s evolution – we are all connected to a greater energy. This is also true for when things are going well! This is the time when this mantra means gratitude to me as we can never forget to be grateful. The Universe has things in store for us that we could never even begin to imagine… as long as we keep and open heart and an open mind:)

Worrying will not empty tomorrow of its troubles, but today of its strength.

At a seminar I went to a few years ago, the speaker picked up a glass of water and asked the crowd- “How heavy is this glass of water?”
A few answers were offered- 8 ounces, 1 pound, etc.
The speaker replied- “The absolute weight doesn’t matter. What matters more is how long I try to hold it. If I hold it for a minute, that’s not a problem. If I hold it for an hour, I’ll have an ache in my right arm. If I hold it for a day, you’ll have to call an ambulance. In each case, the weight is the same, but the longer I hold it, the heavier it becomes. And that’s the way it is with stress management. If we carry our burdens all the time, sooner or later, as the burden becomes increasingly heavy, we won’t be able to carry on. As with the glass of water, you have to put it down for a while and rest before holding it again. When we’re refreshed, we can carry on with the burden. So, before you return home tonight, put the burden of work down. Don’t carry it home. You can pick it up tomorrow. Whatever burdens you’re carrying now, let them down for a moment if you can. Relax; pick them up later after you’ve rested.”
I learned that Green Monsters are amazing! Who would have thought that pureed spinach could be so good.
