Canadian Oral-B Triumph Giveaway!

November 30, 2009

IMG_7386

I am loving warm lunches more and more as the weather gets colder!

IMG_7394

I whipped up a ‘5 minute’ stir-fry for lunch:

  • 1 zucchini
  • 1/2 cup cherry tomatoes
  • 3/4 cup chickpeas
  • PC Sun-dried tomato seasoning (LBD!)
  • red wine vinegar + EVOO

On the side I had a high protein pita by Pita Gourmet smeared with tomato paste (hello, lycopene!!!).

IMG_7389

With a Naval orange. The sticker was promptly placed somewhere for Eric to find. ;)

IMG_7398

Snack was a Present Glo Bar. Officially my fav. kind. You can quote me on that.

IMG_7392

I also rocked the festive Candy Cane Lane Green Tea by Celestial Seasonings. I just couldn’t wait until Dec 1st!!!

IMG_7393

So fresh and minty!

fitness

I had an awesome workout today:

  • 40 min. treadmill hill workout (speed 4.0, incline 10%)

I am always asked if I do the full time at that speed and incline and the answer is yes, unless I note otherwise. It’s tough! I usually do 15% incline, but I have been switching it up a bit lately to work other muscles.

I also rocked out Whittle My Middle.

My abs are feeling SO tight. I honestly am loving this challenge, even though I curse like a trucker when I do it…hahaha. You think I’m joking but I’m not. ;)

Canadian Oral-B Triumph Giveaway!

I was delighted when Oral-B contacted me to review the Oral-B Triumph on Oh She Glows. I have always wanted to try out an electric toothbrush, but I never wanted to commit to one without knowing if it would work. I didn’t want to review it without also being able to give one away, so I was delighted when Oral-B agreed to do a contest giveaway on OSG!

20091024134929_oral-b-triumph-smart-guide Now you know me, I typically don’t gush over products unless I really love them, but I am absolutely smitten with this electric toothbrush!

Oral-B.Holiday.FINAL

The Triumph works so well that I feel like I am walking out of the dentist’s office every time I use it. It removed my plaque after just 2 uses and made my teeth so smooth. It is a great tool for me since I have had to decrease my dental visits when my insurance cut out. I feel like this toothbrush will make the difference between visits.

The timer is brilliant. Absolutely brilliant. I admit, I was guilty for ‘speed brushing’ my teeth. I am often so tired I won’t put the time in, however since using the Triumph, I have brushed my teeth for a full 2 minutes, twice daily. I consider this a miracle because I am lazy. ;)

The timer guides you through each section (30 seconds in each quadrant) and then you are rewarded with a smiley face after 2 minutes. Maybe I am secretly a 7 year old hiding in an adult’s body, but this just makes my day!!

For a chance to win an Oral-B Triumph (suggested retail price $179.99):

  • Leave a comment telling me something about your teeth. Do you like the dentist? Do you go at regular intervals? Do you floss? Do you need a tool like this to give you a kick in the butt like me? :)

Rules: Contest open to Canadian residents only. Contest closes Thursday Dec. 3rd at noon EST. Please leave a valid email address.

Goodluck!

Don’t worry US residents, there is an exclusive US contest coming up on OSG this week! Think YOGA!

Tomorrow is the last day to enter the Glo bar giveaways! Click here for the US giveaway (free account sign up required) and click here for the CAD giveaway.

I am a little OCD with my tooth care. I always have a toothbrush and paste on me. You can find me after every meal or coffee brushing away :) I have never tried an electronic brush but would love to! Have a super day! I love your blog :)

I always referred the the dentist as the “Haunted House” when I was little and hated going there, still do. Especially after problems such as a severe infection as a result from the surgeon taking out my wisdom teeth, took out the bone holding up the tooth beside it out.. Ouch!
Now, I’m in a regular flosser thanks to the dental picks! they work great and trying to be consistent with brushing, but worry about getting receding gums from brushing too hard (Dentists freak you out about every little possible thing that could do wrong).. Its a battle!

This is actually my first comment… I’ve always been a little too nervous to comment on blogs, but:
It’s actually kind of funny that you’re doing this giveaway now – I am currently in the process of booking an appointment to get my wisdom teeth removed. My old dentist said they were fine, but when I moved for university and went to a new dentist she said they needed to come out. I can actually see one coming out and it hurts!
I really do care a lot about my teeth – I brush twice a day and floss several times a week. I’ve never really had any trouble with them either (except a retainer when I was 10 and these wisdom teeth now!).
But, I will admit, I’m kind of a speed-brusher. And since I moved out of my parents’ house, I don’t really change my toothbrush as often as I should!

I need this toothbrush! I recently got a bridge that covers my three front teeth and I hate it!!! It is so awkward to floss that a brush like this would make it so much easier to keep it clean, I am so paranoid about having bad breath because of the bridge that I brush my teeth 4 x a day!

My Mom works for the dentist that I go to. It was great being able to go and see my mom at work. She would be there to hold my hand if I needed anything “drastic” done. Let’s just say I love my smile now but before braces I had too many teeth to fit my mouth. They were pointing in all directions. To have the braces be a success I got 8 teeth pulled (4 baby and 4 permanent), had to wear head gear (what torcher for a pre-teen!) and a retainer (which I am still suppose to wear. In addition I also had my wisdom teeth pulled. It was all worth to have the smile that I do today…cavity free. I have never had an electric toothbrush before but would love the timer. My husband brushes his teeth for 20 seconds and then rinses with mouth rinse. I love the man but he needs a few reminders to go and brush his teeth!

I’m a bit militant about dental care. I brush and floss after every meal, it actually drives my boyfriend a bit mad.

This post reminds me that I need to go to the dentist more often though! I only go about once a year.

Hi Ang…A couple of years ago I was trying to get some dental work finished before the year end (benefits), so my dentist was working like crazy to get a crown done. The day I went it to get the crown on (3 days before Christmas) I told them it still really hurt and I was on Advil and Tylenol every day. Long story short I ended up at the dental surgeon 2 hours later to have the same tooth I was trying to get a crown on pulled from my mouth, it turns out it was cracked above the gum line and a crown was not going to help at all! It goes down as my WORST dentist trip ever.

I just visited my dentist yesterday for my checkup! I’ve always had very strong teeth even though I may not have the best dental routine from day to day. Thank you strong teeth! I love the dentist because my teeth always feel so clean after the clean up is finished. =)

I am a flossing fanatic! My teeth just do not feel clean unless I’ve flossed! I would love to try this, I’ve only ever used a manual toothbrush. Thanks for the opportunity :)

I would love to have this brush! I go to the denitst every six months for a checkup. I brush my teeth two to three times every day and floss my teeth every night. Yet still, I had a cavity last year and at my appointment last week was told I have mild gingivitis. My dentist says I do everything right and it’s just genetics. She did say that an electric brush might help though!

It’s so funny that you are having a giveaway for an electric toothbrush, because for christmas this is what I asked my mother for. Haha. I love the electric toothbrush that I have now but I know it’s time for a new one because it keeps giving out.

I never used to use my electric toothbrush but now that I have braces I feel it cleans my teeth so much more.

I must say though, I am an addict to brushing my teeth, I brush soooo much probably like 4 or 5 times a day haha. I floss so much too (with braces you have too haha). I go to the dentist and my ortho every month too.. AWWW I can’t wait for my braces to come off so I can have a beautiful smile!! =)

This giveaway brush would be extremely prefect for me and my teeth!! =)

I am totally guilty of not flossing enough, but I always make sure to brush twice a day for at least 2 minutes. Despite this, I find it really hard to get all of the plaque off of my teeth for that “smooth” feeling only a trip to the dentist seems to be able to provide! I would LOVE to try this toothbrush to see if it can have my teeth feeling squeaky clean on a daily basis! Thanks for the awesome giveaway!

So… I haven’t had problems with my teeth until the last couple of years. I had to have my wisdom teeth removed, and suffered a terrible abcess that after months of pain, and complaining – required a root canal. The root canal was messed up – and have had to return to specialists three times to have it fixed. Still not over with though – have a huge lump of ‘putty’ stuck in there – maybe for life :( Anyway, hope to win this to help avoid any other problems with my teeth. I’ve heard they work so well!!! Pick me please!!!

Wow, you sound like you have a new gadget. The timer is a neat addition. Like you, I get lazy at bed time and don’t do the full brush that I know I should. I have a ‘poor mans’ electric toothbrush i.e. the $10 kind found at the local drug store. I would love to try this one and know that Oral B has a great name.

Oral-B Giveaway!

I desperately need this toothbrush. I was born with lovely, naturally straight teeth that sadly have almost no enamel. Thus…cavities galore. Thus…avoidance of the dentist until I have no choice.

I’m certain this brush could help me brush longer and more effectively and hopefully make more, but less painful, trips to the dentist.

Oooh, would love to win this for TheHusband. Believe it or not, he actually applies too much pressure when using a regular toothbrush, and he’s causing his gums to prematurely recede!! The hygienist recommended this very toothbrush to help combat his super human strength. So here’s me, tossing in my hat!

I do visit the dentist regularly for check ups, but I am terrible for flossing everyday and my dentist is always telling me I have to do better.
This would be an awesome win and my dentist would be so impressed at my next visit.
