Canadian Oral-B Triumph Giveaway!

November 30, 2009

IMG_7386

I am loving warm lunches more and more as the weather gets colder!

IMG_7394

I whipped up a ‘5 minute’ stir-fry for lunch:

  • 1 zucchini
  • 1/2 cup cherry tomatoes
  • 3/4 cup chickpeas
  • PC Sun-dried tomato seasoning (LBD!)
  • red wine vinegar + EVOO

On the side I had a high protein pita by Pita Gourmet smeared with tomato paste (hello, lycopene!!!).

IMG_7389

With a Naval orange. The sticker was promptly placed somewhere for Eric to find. ;)

IMG_7398

Snack was a Present Glo Bar. Officially my fav. kind. You can quote me on that.

IMG_7392

I also rocked the festive Candy Cane Lane Green Tea by Celestial Seasonings. I just couldn’t wait until Dec 1st!!!

IMG_7393

So fresh and minty!

fitness

I had an awesome workout today:

  • 40 min. treadmill hill workout (speed 4.0, incline 10%)

I am always asked if I do the full time at that speed and incline and the answer is yes, unless I note otherwise. It’s tough! I usually do 15% incline, but I have been switching it up a bit lately to work other muscles.

I also rocked out Whittle My Middle.

My abs are feeling SO tight. I honestly am loving this challenge, even though I curse like a trucker when I do it…hahaha. You think I’m joking but I’m not. ;)

Canadian Oral-B Triumph Giveaway!

I was delighted when Oral-B contacted me to review the Oral-B Triumph on Oh She Glows. I have always wanted to try out an electric toothbrush, but I never wanted to commit to one without knowing if it would work. I didn’t want to review it without also being able to give one away, so I was delighted when Oral-B agreed to do a contest giveaway on OSG!

20091024134929_oral-b-triumph-smart-guide Now you know me, I typically don’t gush over products unless I really love them, but I am absolutely smitten with this electric toothbrush!

Oral-B.Holiday.FINAL

The Triumph works so well that I feel like I am walking out of the dentist’s office every time I use it. It removed my plaque after just 2 uses and made my teeth so smooth. It is a great tool for me since I have had to decrease my dental visits when my insurance cut out. I feel like this toothbrush will make the difference between visits.

The timer is brilliant. Absolutely brilliant. I admit, I was guilty for ‘speed brushing’ my teeth. I am often so tired I won’t put the time in, however since using the Triumph, I have brushed my teeth for a full 2 minutes, twice daily. I consider this a miracle because I am lazy. ;)

The timer guides you through each section (30 seconds in each quadrant) and then you are rewarded with a smiley face after 2 minutes. Maybe I am secretly a 7 year old hiding in an adult’s body, but this just makes my day!!

For a chance to win an Oral-B Triumph (suggested retail price $179.99):

  • Leave a comment telling me something about your teeth. Do you like the dentist? Do you go at regular intervals? Do you floss? Do you need a tool like this to give you a kick in the butt like me? :)

Rules: Contest open to Canadian residents only. Contest closes Thursday Dec. 3rd at noon EST. Please leave a valid email address.

Goodluck!

Don’t worry US residents, there is an exclusive US contest coming up on OSG this week! Think YOGA!

Tomorrow is the last day to enter the Glo bar giveaways! Click here for the US giveaway (free account sign up required) and click here for the CAD giveaway.

I’ve been cavity-free all my life! My smile is my favourite facial feature, and I make sure to show it off whenever I can. I want to make sure it stays that way, so I floss most of the time and brush properly ALL of the time!

I have never tried an electric toothbrush but have always been curious about them…so I would love to win this!

Life as a busy mom would be SO handy with this toothbrush! I don’t always have the time to dedicate the “right” amount of time, so the timer feature looks awesome.:-)

As for something about my teeth: I coerced my dad to get me braces in the ninth grade even though my teeth weren’t that crooked. I thought braces were cool. I’m sure that retribution is on its way to me in the form of my own daughter: about 10 years from now!

Even though I brush and floss properly all the time, I need to go to the dentist for plaque removal every 6 months. I don’t like it, it’s expensive, but I know that dental hygiene is an important determinant of health AND my dentist is cute! He says that an electric toothbrush would help a lot ;-)

I love to go to the dentist, I actually wish I go go every few weeks.. I love how clean your teeth feel afterwards. I also am wierd that I LOVE flossing. Hubs thinks I am wierd because sometimes I will spend 20 minutes flossing, but I tell him its a massage for my gums. It could be dangerous if I win this toothbrush!!

I’m terrified of the dentist. When I was little I hid from my parents that I had a toothache for about 2 months, just so that they don’t bring me to the dentist! I had to secretly eat on one side of my mouth, so that they don’t find out. LOL. By they time my parents finally figured it out the tooth was dead and the dentist had to pull it out.
Now that I’m an adult, apparently, I have a problem with my gums and last year I had to have gum surgery… It took me several days to mentally prepare for it, so that I don’t walk out. LOL. Afterwards, I swore that I would never do it again. Anyway, recently my dentist told me that I should try Oral-B electric brush and what do you know … you have a giveaway. It would be great if I could win.

My parents made me brush my teeth on a three minute timer when I was little. The result: no cavities for me, but now I have a receding gumline. A toothbrush with a smiley timer would really make my day!

I am not a big fan of going to the dentist, but I love the feeling my teeth have when I leave. This could make me happy at home :o)
Great giveaway!

I don’t mind going to the dentist! I think it’s worth it for the clean feeling and knowing such an important part of me is healthy. I also floss every night but my brushing is while I’m walking around, washing dishes, etc so it may not be the best haha. Thanks for the giveaway, Angela!

I never have that smooth feeling, even after coming from the dentist. My teeth feel great, but I don’t have any different feel than normal. Not sure if that means I’m doing it right or doing it wrong.

When I was 9 years old, I was in a car accident…alright, I will clarify…a go-kart accident. For some reason, I got confused with the brake/gas pedal and when I should have been breaking, I floored it and sent myself through a chain link fence. This chain link fence was not attached to the ground and under I went…thank goodness for a helmet, or I would have had the bottom on a chain link fence scratched on my face and head…oh the thoughts…anyhow, I came out with some scars on my face and a missing tooth!! The tooth beside my two front teeth is gone…the cool thing is that I was young enough that over time, my wisdom teeth came in and pushed my teeth together, so you can’t even notice this tooth is missing until I point it out. I look back now and think how lucky I was to not have been more injured…but think that the fact I am toothless is a cool and interesting fact about me :)

I would love to surprise my fiancé with an electric toothbrush for Christmas. He has had bad experiences with dentists as a child. He not only hates the sounds of visiting the dentist but has had horrible experiences with not enough freezing! He has still contined to get his teeth cleaned on a regular basis and tried his best to keep a clean and healthy smile by brushing twice a day, and I am so proud of him for that.

I recently had my teeth professionally whitened. It was not what I expected (they used gel not lasers) but my teeth are very white now!

I used to love going to the dentist as a kid! Maybe it was because of the plastic jewelry, the stickers reminding me of no food or drink for 30 minutes, or the free toothbrushes, I’m not sure. I still don’t mind it as an adult so long as we are just talking about a regular teeth cleaning.

Ha- this is just what I need! I am in desperate need of that ‘fresh from the dentist, run your tongue over your teeth’ deep clean! After every dentist visit I swear that I’ll start flossing regularly, but after three days (if that!) I inevitably fall off the wagon. How is it that I can be so disciplined about every other aspect of my health (good nutrition, vitamins, exercising) except for flossing? I’ll analyze this another time – in the interim I’d love to win!

My last trip to the dentist was pretty bad… I seem to think I can get away without flossing daily but that’s so not the case, anyway since then I’ve been so much better and I’m flossing daily and my mouth feels so much better! I’d love an Oral B to get my mouth feeling its absolute best!
