I am loving warm lunches more and more as the weather gets colder!
I whipped up a ‘5 minute’ stir-fry for lunch:
- 1 zucchini
- 1/2 cup cherry tomatoes
- 3/4 cup chickpeas
- PC Sun-dried tomato seasoning (LBD!)
- red wine vinegar + EVOO
On the side I had a high protein pita by Pita Gourmet smeared with tomato paste (hello, lycopene!!!).
With a Naval orange. The sticker was promptly placed somewhere for Eric to find. ;)
Snack was a Present Glo Bar. Officially my fav. kind. You can quote me on that.
I also rocked the festive Candy Cane Lane Green Tea by Celestial Seasonings. I just couldn’t wait until Dec 1st!!!
So fresh and minty!
I had an awesome workout today:
- 40 min. treadmill hill workout (speed 4.0, incline 10%)
I am always asked if I do the full time at that speed and incline and the answer is yes, unless I note otherwise. It’s tough! I usually do 15% incline, but I have been switching it up a bit lately to work other muscles.
I also rocked out Whittle My Middle.
My abs are feeling SO tight. I honestly am loving this challenge, even though I curse like a trucker when I do it…hahaha. You think I’m joking but I’m not. ;)

Canadian Oral-B Triumph Giveaway!
I was delighted when Oral-B contacted me to review the Oral-B Triumph on Oh She Glows. I have always wanted to try out an electric toothbrush, but I never wanted to commit to one without knowing if it would work. I didn’t want to review it without also being able to give one away, so I was delighted when Oral-B agreed to do a contest giveaway on OSG!
Now you know me, I typically don’t gush over products unless I really love them, but I am absolutely smitten with this electric toothbrush!
The Triumph works so well that I feel like I am walking out of the dentist’s office every time I use it. It removed my plaque after just 2 uses and made my teeth so smooth. It is a great tool for me since I have had to decrease my dental visits when my insurance cut out. I feel like this toothbrush will make the difference between visits.
The timer is brilliant. Absolutely brilliant. I admit, I was guilty for ‘speed brushing’ my teeth. I am often so tired I won’t put the time in, however since using the Triumph, I have brushed my teeth for a full 2 minutes, twice daily. I consider this a miracle because I am lazy. ;)
The timer guides you through each section (30 seconds in each quadrant) and then you are rewarded with a smiley face after 2 minutes. Maybe I am secretly a 7 year old hiding in an adult’s body, but this just makes my day!!
For a chance to win an Oral-B Triumph (suggested retail price $179.99):
- Leave a comment telling me something about your teeth. Do you like the dentist? Do you go at regular intervals? Do you floss? Do you need a tool like this to give you a kick in the butt like me? :)
Rules: Contest open to Canadian residents only. Contest closes Thursday Dec. 3rd at noon EST. Please leave a valid email address.
Goodluck!
Don’t worry US residents, there is an exclusive US contest coming up on OSG this week! Think YOGA!

don’t enter me- I already have an electric one! But I have to say, I love my toothbrush- it seriously makes a difference. Buyer be warned though, the replacement heads are expensive. Mine takes ones that are about $20 for 3 heads. I had majah sticker shock when I saw that.
Oh my electric toothbrush is broken and I so need a new one. The timer is such a great idea, I tend to speed through brushing.
I am the flossing Queen!! I find that it makes a huge difference when you do. I also use a sonic brush and rinse with listerine afterwards… I love the feeling of clean teeth!
About my teeth – I had braces from 2003-2005 except they were the invisible kind! They’re called Invisalign and unless you got really close to my mouth, you couldn’t tell that I had braces on. They worked like a charm :)
I also recently had my first visit with a “holistic dentist” He was great!
Awesome contest Ange!!
That timer is a good idea! I don’t like going to the dentist.. but am due for a check up before the end of the year! eep!
I’ve always been really good with looking after my teeth but that also has to do with the fact that I saw an orthodontist for most of my life.I finally got braces in 2007 when I was 24 and although it sucked soooo much, it was totally worth.
I usually scoff at the idea of using an electric toothbrush but deep down I secretly want one :)I floss everyday but there doesn’t seem to be anyway to prevent the plaque. I now really want to try this toothbrush!
I actually floss all the time! Not because it is so good for me (that’s just a bonus) but because my biggest pet peeve is the feeling of food in my teeth!
The question is what hasn’t been done…surgery to dig out teeth that were growing sideways in the roof of my mouth, 5 teeth pulled, shortly after that the start of a 5 year process of braces and head gear :/ I hated the head gear it was so painful. Once all that was done, I had perfect looking teeth. Recently I have been stressed and I am grinding again and my jaw has been killing me :/ As for my dentist she is fantastic. I love her and I would go to her weekly if I had the money! hehe….nothing like a cleaning from the dentist.
I haven’t always been a model brusher, but in recent years, I have been putting a greater effort into being a good role model for my daughter who is very impressionable at the young age of 4. We always brush our teeth together and chase all of those bad germs away !
Plus, who doesn’t love, love, love to flash their pearly whites whenever they can !
I’m a sucker for good teeth and have been blessed to have them my whole life. I admit I’m bad at flossing though :( I’d love to win this toothbrush!
I brush my teeth after every meal, but I am guilty of being a speed brusher. I would love to win this toothbrush!
I love electric toothbrushes and use one at home while I have a standard, manual brush at the office. I have never bought a really expensive electric toothbrush but have been pleased with the results of the median priced ones. A timer feature would be a great addtion to lower priced toothbrushes.
Since my mother has always had dental issues she spent the money on a very good quality electric toothbrush with changeable heads for the family. By her doing that I have been able to avoid some of the same dental issues that have plagued her.
I floss regularly since I cannot stand the feeling of having something caught in my teeth.
While I go to see the dentist regularly it is not my favourite place to be. I moved from a small town to a large city and the differences in dental practices were shocking. (My childhood dentist never used gloves and would not floss our teeth for us during the cleaning, while the new one did among other things). It made me realize that my former dentist was out of touch with modern practices.
Whoever ends up getting the free toothbrush will be very happy with their prize.
The timer is a great idea – I suspect I’m also guilty of speedbrushing!
I’m guilty.
I speed brush.
And I may have forgotten to brush them once or twice. What can I say… it was sleepy time and I had done all my get ready for bed things and climbed into my warm cozy bed when I thought D’OH!
I would also love to have an electric to really make sure that my teeth are super clean!
I have been DYING to try an electric toothbrush but am not sure which to buy and so am reluctant to take the plunge. My dentist – who is otherwise very nice – lectures me constantly and makes scary predictions about “gum scaling” YIKES!!! I want to reform my speed brushing ways and this contest is coming along at the perfect time! 30 days till my next dental check-up, would love to ace it :)
I avoid the dentist at all costs! I had such a horrible experience as a child, that I only go to the dentist about once every 3 years!! (and only because I am forced to go!)
This is why I try to take REALLY good care of my teeth! A device like this would definitely be beneficial!
I’ve been eyeing the Triumph for a while now but just can’t afford the price right now. The last time I went to the dentist she recommended an electric toothbrush, but I forgot all about it until I read your post. I’m thinking it would be a good xmas present for myself:)
I love electric toothbrushes and my old one bit the dust. I’ve been too lazy (and cheap, lol) to replace it. My teeth would be VERY happy if I won this toothbrush. So would my dentist ;-)
My dentist says I have good strong teeth, even though they aren’t straight, and aren’t gleaming white…. And I passed that on to my kids!
I just spent a couple thousand this summer fixing my teeth because I’ve always hated the dentist. I won’t avoid them as much though because they’ve developed much better freezing and have nice TVs to distract me. Although they haven’t done much about their prices :-)
