I am loving warm lunches more and more as the weather gets colder!
I whipped up a ‘5 minute’ stir-fry for lunch:
- 1 zucchini
- 1/2 cup cherry tomatoes
- 3/4 cup chickpeas
- PC Sun-dried tomato seasoning (LBD!)
- red wine vinegar + EVOO
On the side I had a high protein pita by Pita Gourmet smeared with tomato paste (hello, lycopene!!!).
With a Naval orange. The sticker was promptly placed somewhere for Eric to find. ;)
Snack was a Present Glo Bar. Officially my fav. kind. You can quote me on that.
I also rocked the festive Candy Cane Lane Green Tea by Celestial Seasonings. I just couldn’t wait until Dec 1st!!!
So fresh and minty!
I had an awesome workout today:
- 40 min. treadmill hill workout (speed 4.0, incline 10%)
I am always asked if I do the full time at that speed and incline and the answer is yes, unless I note otherwise. It’s tough! I usually do 15% incline, but I have been switching it up a bit lately to work other muscles.
I also rocked out Whittle My Middle.
My abs are feeling SO tight. I honestly am loving this challenge, even though I curse like a trucker when I do it…hahaha. You think I’m joking but I’m not. ;)

Canadian Oral-B Triumph Giveaway!
I was delighted when Oral-B contacted me to review the Oral-B Triumph on Oh She Glows. I have always wanted to try out an electric toothbrush, but I never wanted to commit to one without knowing if it would work. I didn’t want to review it without also being able to give one away, so I was delighted when Oral-B agreed to do a contest giveaway on OSG!
Now you know me, I typically don’t gush over products unless I really love them, but I am absolutely smitten with this electric toothbrush!
The Triumph works so well that I feel like I am walking out of the dentist’s office every time I use it. It removed my plaque after just 2 uses and made my teeth so smooth. It is a great tool for me since I have had to decrease my dental visits when my insurance cut out. I feel like this toothbrush will make the difference between visits.
The timer is brilliant. Absolutely brilliant. I admit, I was guilty for ‘speed brushing’ my teeth. I am often so tired I won’t put the time in, however since using the Triumph, I have brushed my teeth for a full 2 minutes, twice daily. I consider this a miracle because I am lazy. ;)
The timer guides you through each section (30 seconds in each quadrant) and then you are rewarded with a smiley face after 2 minutes. Maybe I am secretly a 7 year old hiding in an adult’s body, but this just makes my day!!
For a chance to win an Oral-B Triumph (suggested retail price $179.99):
- Leave a comment telling me something about your teeth. Do you like the dentist? Do you go at regular intervals? Do you floss? Do you need a tool like this to give you a kick in the butt like me? :)
Rules: Contest open to Canadian residents only. Contest closes Thursday Dec. 3rd at noon EST. Please leave a valid email address.
Goodluck!
Don’t worry US residents, there is an exclusive US contest coming up on OSG this week! Think YOGA!
Tomorrow is the last day to enter the Glo bar giveaways! Click here for the US giveaway (free account sign up required) and click here for the CAD giveaway.

I didn’t mind the dentist at all when I was little. He had bubblegum flouride that I liked. Who enjoys flouride?! ;)
My dentist looks more like what you’d think a plastic surgeon looks like than a dentist, so I always look forward to seeing her outfit…which takes my mind off the fact that she might inflict pain. Although I floss and brush regularly, I’d love an electric toothbrush so that I could have that “just from the dentist” feeling of clean teeth.
Your lunch looks wonderful! I need to find those high protein pitas! Where do you get them? Are they a Canadian only thing?
I just went to the dentist on Friday, so it’d be nice to keep the super clean feeling.
I hate the dentist! My hygenist always seems to talk to me like I am 8 years old and chastises me for not flossing daily ( I do it ever 2nd day, which I think it not terrible!). Maybe I just need a new dentist….
I would love an electric toothbrush! I don’t mind going to the dentist. I go twice a year. When I was younger, I had to have some teeth pulled and I always enjoyed the “laughing gas” they gave me!
I hate the dentist. I’ve always had less than perfect teeth, so my childhood memories of the dentist are less than pleasant. I’m still prone to cavities as an adult, so I’m still not a fan! I’m a poor flosser, I have to admit, but I bet that fancy toothbrush would help me out!!
I’m not a regular flosser and my dentist can totally tell… even though I tell him that I floss everyday and I don’t why my gums bleed when I my teeth are flossed at his office!… guilty! :)
I go through toothbrushes like water! I brush too hard and ruin most brushes fairly quickly. I have found that electric brushes help me ease up a bit!

Hi there, great post!
I do go to the dentist regularly and love that fresh from the dentist clean. I did not grow up flossing and am find it difficult to get into the habit of flossing regularly. I always have great intentions when I come from my dental appointment and do keeo it up for a few days then I forget. The oral B toothbrush is just what I need to keep that clean tingly feeling in my mouth until the next dental appointment.
Cheers
I actually LOVE going to the dentist, I come out feeling amazing about myself (kinda like getting a haircut). Nothing feels better than a fresh mouth!
I unfortunately am not a regular flosser, and have heard these toothbrushes work wonders.
I actually have a diamond placed in one of my front teeth and would love this OralB brush to keep it sparkling!
I brush twice daily, and I think pretty well with a manual brush, but I’d LOVE to try an electric one. Especially with the timer! Sounds so cool!
I have to be 100% honest and say that I’d rather give birth than go to the dentist. Seriously. Due to some hereditary issues, I have to go 4 times a year and I dread each and every time. Ugh! Maybe this toothbrush will help in making my visits less dreadful….
I have to admit, I am a real slacker when it comes to flossing. Every dentist visit, I promise that I will be better with it. And the most embarrassing part is my sister-in-law is my dentist! You think that would motivate me more.
Hi Angela,
I was JUST looking at these on Sunday at the drug store! Like you, I was unsure about committing to purchasing one without trying it. I think it is just the tool I need to make my teeth even more twinkly and beautiful!
Thanks!
erin
I love getting my teeth cleaned! so if this appliance makes my mouth feel like that I would love to win it…..
thanks for your blog….you are a daily must-read for me….
su :)
I would love to try this toothbrush, it sounds amazing. I have a crest spinbrush that last lost it’s spark! I tend to floss a few times a week, I know I should be doing it much more often!
I am a flosser for sure ! That electric brush with the timer is just what I need !
aww, candy cane tea and a present glo bar sounds JUST like Christmas!! so happy the holidays are here :O)
OMG I totes need this. I sadly hardly ever go to the dentist these days since I am sans dental benefits (I know I should go though). I currently brush and floss like crazy but I really have been wanting an electric tooth brush!
