Canadian Oral-B Triumph Giveaway!

November 30, 2009

IMG_7386

I am loving warm lunches more and more as the weather gets colder!

IMG_7394

I whipped up a ‘5 minute’ stir-fry for lunch:

  • 1 zucchini
  • 1/2 cup cherry tomatoes
  • 3/4 cup chickpeas
  • PC Sun-dried tomato seasoning (LBD!)
  • red wine vinegar + EVOO

On the side I had a high protein pita by Pita Gourmet smeared with tomato paste (hello, lycopene!!!).

IMG_7389

With a Naval orange. The sticker was promptly placed somewhere for Eric to find. ;)

IMG_7398

Snack was a Present Glo Bar. Officially my fav. kind. You can quote me on that.

IMG_7392

I also rocked the festive Candy Cane Lane Green Tea by Celestial Seasonings. I just couldn’t wait until Dec 1st!!!

IMG_7393

So fresh and minty!

fitness

I had an awesome workout today:

  • 40 min. treadmill hill workout (speed 4.0, incline 10%)

I am always asked if I do the full time at that speed and incline and the answer is yes, unless I note otherwise. It’s tough! I usually do 15% incline, but I have been switching it up a bit lately to work other muscles.

I also rocked out Whittle My Middle.

My abs are feeling SO tight. I honestly am loving this challenge, even though I curse like a trucker when I do it…hahaha. You think I’m joking but I’m not. ;)

Canadian Oral-B Triumph Giveaway!

I was delighted when Oral-B contacted me to review the Oral-B Triumph on Oh She Glows. I have always wanted to try out an electric toothbrush, but I never wanted to commit to one without knowing if it would work. I didn’t want to review it without also being able to give one away, so I was delighted when Oral-B agreed to do a contest giveaway on OSG!

20091024134929_oral-b-triumph-smart-guide Now you know me, I typically don’t gush over products unless I really love them, but I am absolutely smitten with this electric toothbrush!

Oral-B.Holiday.FINAL

The Triumph works so well that I feel like I am walking out of the dentist’s office every time I use it. It removed my plaque after just 2 uses and made my teeth so smooth. It is a great tool for me since I have had to decrease my dental visits when my insurance cut out. I feel like this toothbrush will make the difference between visits.

The timer is brilliant. Absolutely brilliant. I admit, I was guilty for ‘speed brushing’ my teeth. I am often so tired I won’t put the time in, however since using the Triumph, I have brushed my teeth for a full 2 minutes, twice daily. I consider this a miracle because I am lazy. ;)

The timer guides you through each section (30 seconds in each quadrant) and then you are rewarded with a smiley face after 2 minutes. Maybe I am secretly a 7 year old hiding in an adult’s body, but this just makes my day!!

For a chance to win an Oral-B Triumph (suggested retail price $179.99):

  • Leave a comment telling me something about your teeth. Do you like the dentist? Do you go at regular intervals? Do you floss? Do you need a tool like this to give you a kick in the butt like me? :)

Rules: Contest open to Canadian residents only. Contest closes Thursday Dec. 3rd at noon EST. Please leave a valid email address.

Goodluck!

Don’t worry US residents, there is an exclusive US contest coming up on OSG this week! Think YOGA!

Tomorrow is the last day to enter the Glo bar giveaways! Click here for the US giveaway (free account sign up required) and click here for the CAD giveaway.

i have had an electric toothbrush for about a year now and i COMPLETELY love it!!! it really is amazing the difference it makes, and you’re right, it feels fresh-from-the-dentist clean every time you brush!! now if i could just get better about flossing more regularly…. :) hehe. i actually had a dentist tell me if you only have time to brush OR floss, flossing is more important!! go figure!!

When not flossing as part of a dental routine, something just doesn’t feel right…like putting your socks on over your shoes!

My step-mother is a dentist, and she had given me an electric toothbrush to tryout. I loved it and used it for 2 months until it unfortunately met her dog Molly. :)

I definately go to the dentist regulary, sometimes I go more than I think is really necessary and undergo laser for my gigivitis. This toothbruh would kick me in the butt to get it right for sure.
Flossing, I am a lot better than I was growing up, I am not sure my parents knew about floss. Mind you neither one of them have their own teeth. YIKES!!! (sorry if this gross’ you out) How things change.

Well, I was considering not boiling up my chickpeas tonight due to laziness, but after this post, I am SO going to make them. -drool-

I haven’t been to the dentist in YEARS, to be honest. I’m an avid brusher, but I spent my pre-teen and early teen years brushing on-and-off, and thus, I have 2 cavities that we can’t afford to have filled yet. :( I like my teeth though, I probably need a tooth pulled here or there and a little whitening, I still got a cute smile because of them. I use one of ’em regular tooth brushes these days because my old electric one kept dying on me!

…The smiley face makes me want it so bad. So. So. Bad. XD

I try to go to the dentist regularly ( mostly when I am in dire need of a new toothbrush ;) what! I am a student in debt :P ) but I absolutely FAIL at flossing and having an Oral B Triumph would definitely make brushing/flossing a more than regular occurrence!

I’ve never used an electric toothbrush. I always had great teeth as kid/adolescent until my eating disorder. Now I have no enamel and my teeth or so yellow and spotty. So another thing to motivate you to eat better: your teeth will forever be destroyed if you don’t!

I love the dentist! As a kid when we would go to the dentist, we’d get to miss class and my mom would take us for crepes after (they were beside our dentists). I still crave crepes after going to the dentist. I use to have an electric toothbrush-but it was a cheapy and somewhere along the way I broke it so now I’m back to just using a regular toothbrush :( I would LOVE to win-I always enter giveaways but never have any luck with actually winning!

I absolutely hate the dentist! When I was younger, I had quite a few cavities so the dentist was always assoicated with fear for me I guess :P I take good care of my teeth now (cavity free!), but I definitely do the speed-brush more often than I should.

There’s a timer?? That’s awesome!

The dentist always gushes over how nice my teeth are, and somehow that’s translated into me thinking I didn’t need to floss. Let me tell you, I totally got off cloud 9 when the hygienist was like “um, you need to start flossing, stat”. I’ve been flossing quasi-daily ever since (hey, it takes a while for new habits to sink in! :P)

I would love a new toothbrush! I have been plagued by dental problems my whole life, fillings, root canals, you name it I’ve had it. But like you I didn’t want to shell out for an expensive toothbrush when I’m not sure it’ll be worth it. This sounds like the perfect thing for me.

My first dentist visit involved me being carried in kicking and screaming. Not good. But now I go regularly for cleanings and have actually been flossing daily for the past 2 weeks! It’s *almost* routine. :)

I love the ‘dentist clean’ feeling and would love a super fab brush to help me out at home… I sometimes wish I could go to the dentist once a week just to get extra clean!

I actually like going to the dentist, he is a good friend of my parents and my high school boyfriend’s dad so its our chance to catch up and talking about skiing and life!

I hate the dentist. I still go, but I just can’t stand it. I try to floss every day but I have a hard time remembering.

Not a big fan of the dentist. Like you, I don’t have coverage right now, so I haven’t been in a while. It makes me feel guilty, but as soon as I get married (May), I will be covered under my future husband’s plan. I can’t wait to get my teeth checked out…I don’t like the process, but it’s worth it for the feeling afterwards!

I love my dentist so much. I moved away 2 years ago and have actually drove 6 hours to visit my family and to go to my dentist appointments.I try so hard not to be lazy at night when it comes time to brush my teeth but my tiredness gets the better of my way too often.I use to have an electric toothbrush and my teeth always felt like I had just came from the dentist. This much fancier one would great to try.

I hate going to the dentist! Ive never had a cavity in my life, and they still tell me Im doing something wrong. I had issues with my teeth being sensitive for a long time. So now Im beyond careful to take good care of them. I floss, brush, and use mouthwash every single night before bed. The whole routine takes forever, but its so worth it!!

That’s my favorite tea as well! Last year I couldn’t bear the thought of giving it up until next Christmas, so I bought 15 packs of it so I could drink it year-round. Moahaha.

I’ve been making lots of quick and easy stir fries too!

I need a toothbrush like this. With all the moving I’ve been doing I have not been to the dentist in yeeaars. I do my best to maintain my pearly whites but they need a little TLC!!!
