Oh what a day!!!
I am sorry for posting so late and infrequently today. Work was absolutely crazy and since it took me extra long to get into work (due to snowy commute). I didn’t have a lunch break. I just ate as I worked. Then I worked til 8ish and didn’t get home til just before 9!
This week has been flying by for me though so I am happy about that. Only 2 days until I leave for out West and have a week off work!!! Yippee :D
My drive to work, while slow, was scenic and beautiful because I took some back roads for part of the drive.
I tried to soak in every ounce of the Sunshine. :)

Today I sampled another one of the Nakd bars! This one was the Apple Pie Flavour:
It was sooo delicious!!! Sorry I didn’t have a picture of the bar itself, my camera died and since I was at work my hands were tied!
Amazing ingredients!
Tonight at the grocery store on the way home I bought Raw Pistachios for my new Homemade Larabar experiment….any guesses??? lol

Tomorrow at work we are having the judging for our Christmas Door Decorating Contest.
I admit, I haven’t had much time to decorate my door, but I am hoping to use the persuasion of my delightful and delicious baking to win a few votes. lol
Tonight I baked as soon as I was finished dinner….tonight has been a rush, rush, rush!! I also need to get together some decorations to bring in.
Who can say no to this?!
I used the infamous ‘World’s Best Chocolate Chip Cookie” Recipe that you can find here. I’m not sure if it’s the worlds best, but it is damn good. :D
Stay tuned tomorrow for pictures of my decorated door….

PS- Tell me how you plan to fit in exercise over the holiday season!
Happiness is like a cat, If you try to coax it or call it, it will avoid you; it will never come. But if you pay not attention to it and go about your business, you’ll find it rubbing against your legs and jumping into your lap.

Sorry about the long work commute, I hate being in the car for long periods, ESPECIALLY when I have somewhere to be!
Mmm I wish we had Nakd bars here!
This holiday season has been bringing up some stress for me as far as fitting in workouts goes. With parties, part time jobs, and other obligations, sometimes I worry I won’t get my activity in! But what I do is plan out what days I’m working out 1-2 weeks in advance. That way, I can squeeze an extra session in if I know that I won’t get to as much the next week. Basically, plan, plan, plan! I’d love to hear yours!
Getting time to work out has been difficult this month b/c we’re super busy at work with end of the year stuff. However, I’m taking two full weeks off and plan to have the most fun exercising that I can – new classes, new routines, whoo! I’ll have the time to get out of my usual old exercises.
Also, if you’re looking for the world’s best chocolate chip cookies, you may be interested in this article… http://www.nytimes.com/2008/07/09/dining/09chip.html?pagewanted=1&_r=1. This summer, a NY Times writer talked to different master bakers to figure out what makes the perfect chocolate chip cookie. He ended up with this recipe… http://www.nytimes.com/2008/07/09/dining/091crex.html?ref=dining. I haven’t tried it, but it sure looks good!
Those chocolate chip cookies look yummy. I made some of them(different recipe) on Monday. I think all choc chip cookies are great!!
Hang in there with work and the commute!! Stay safe!!
Mmm, cookies!! :-)
Your cookies look amazing and another great quote!
