I’m bursting with joy to tell you that our baby girl, Adriana, arrived Sunday September 21st at 1:34pm, weighing 7 pounds and 20 inches in length. She decided to arrive 1 day before her due date – fooling her mama entirely because by that point I was convinced she was coming a week late. Not long after I published my 39 week post on Saturday, I started going into early labour (I just didn’t know that’s what it was at the time!).
I never knew life could be so crazy happy (or crazy challenging, for that matter). It’s like we’ve known her all our lives. I’m not normally a person who relaxes a great deal, but she’s shown me how to live in the moment and enjoy the right now. I feel like my life has a new sense of meaning and purpose and I’m really excited to get to know her a bit more every day. One thing is for sure, she has a great dad and looks so much like him. I can’t get over the hilarious facial expressions she makes. We have laughed so much in the 4 short days we’ve known her.
Ok, Adriana says it’s feeding time once again! Back to it.
ps – I’m thinking about sharing our birth story on here, so let me know if that is something you’d be interested in.
Thank you for all your love and support!!

Congratulations to both of you!! She is so beautiful and adorable. Can’t wait to hear more about her, the birth and you and Eric. Enjoy the days with your beautiful daughter!
Congratulations Angela! She looks beautiful just like her mum. And dad looks happy and proud too. Enjoy this precious time!
Congratulations Angela! Your family looks perfect, and Adriana is a very lucky child, to have you as her parents. I wish you many happy days and calm nights <3
I would love to hear more about the birth and how she is growing every day (and making funny faces!). You and your words are a big inspiration for me, and I really hope, that soon I will be able to compare my pregnancy to your!
Lots of love to your family!
Congratulations and welcome to this world, little Adriana!
I am so happy for you – she is such a pretty baby – and what a gorgeous name!
Have fun, this will be THE most exciting journey of your lives. Oh, and don’t forget to also pay attention to her “brother” Sketchie. We do not want him to get jealous, now, do we? LOL

Congratulations! She is beautiful!
Congratulations! I would definitely love to hear your birth story, I am giving birth in December and finding that reading other people’s stories really helps make me feel calm and more prepared.
Congratulations!!!! She is beautiful, enjoy this special time there is nothing quite like it.
Congratulations on your baby girl!! And welcome to the world, Adriana! <3
Since I am 4 weeks away from my due date (and the little lady might make her appearance even earlier, due to a smaller uterus on my side) I would love to hear your birth story!! On the one hand I know that every birth story is different (so nothing can prepare me for my own), on the other hand reading every (different) birth story weirdly calms me down more instead of scaring me. I think every birth story simply is just such a wonderful story of life!
Congratulations on the beautiful new addition to your family! Everyone looks healthy and happy and that’s really lovely to see. I am 12 weeks pregnant, so I have to admit that my opinion is a little bias, but for what it’s worth I would absolutely LOVE to read your birth story!
What a beautiful baby girl! Congratulations to you and Eric on your new bundle of joy. As I am currently 33 weeks pregnant with my first (also a girl), I’ve really enjoyed following you along your pregnancy as you embark on this new motherhood journey. I wish you the best of luck and hope that you’ll share not only your birth story, but also continue the “baby blog” with other miscellaneous tips, special moments, as well as any “what not to do”.
Thanks again for sharing such a personal part of your life with us – and enjoy the precious moments…I know I can’t wait for my baby girl to arrive as well.
Angela, Congratulations on the birth of your beautiful baby girl. You are absolutely glowing and she is so precious. You captured some great photos of her looking alert. Enjoy these moments with her. I would love to read your birth story, if you feel like sharing it.
Oh congratulations! !!! I have been so excited for your birth!! Much love to you all!
(Would LOVE to read your birth story! )
I am so happy for you! Your baby is way too cute and makes me even more excited for my little girl arriving in March. I would love it if you shared your birth story!
Ahh so cute! She’s Eric’s little clone, ha. My daughter was my husbands little clone, too. If you’re secretly a teensy bit jealous (like I was), don’t worry, she might look more like you in a few months. LOVE the name. And you look ridiculously good. Yes, please share the birth story. And soak up the joy of these wonderful new days as a family. All the best to you three!
I would love to read your birth story! Congratulations! Adriana is beautiful!

You’re going to love being a mommy. My son just started kindergarten and it doesn’t seem like he is old enough to be in there (even though he’ll be six in December Eeeek). Enjoy this time together while she’s little, they really do grow up fast.
Congrats on your new arrival. I love the name you chose to name your little girl…we, too, named our first baby girl Adriana. May you find many moments of joy with your little one as she grows.
