I’m bursting with joy to tell you that our baby girl, Adriana, arrived Sunday September 21st at 1:34pm, weighing 7 pounds and 20 inches in length. She decided to arrive 1 day before her due date – fooling her mama entirely because by that point I was convinced she was coming a week late. Not long after I published my 39 week post on Saturday, I started going into early labour (I just didn’t know that’s what it was at the time!).
I never knew life could be so crazy happy (or crazy challenging, for that matter). It’s like we’ve known her all our lives. I’m not normally a person who relaxes a great deal, but she’s shown me how to live in the moment and enjoy the right now. I feel like my life has a new sense of meaning and purpose and I’m really excited to get to know her a bit more every day. One thing is for sure, she has a great dad and looks so much like him. I can’t get over the hilarious facial expressions she makes. We have laughed so much in the 4 short days we’ve known her.
Ok, Adriana says it’s feeding time once again! Back to it.
ps – I’m thinking about sharing our birth story on here, so let me know if that is something you’d be interested in.
Thank you for all your love and support!!

Congratulations! She looks absolutely beautiful. I was wondering if you were completely vegan for your entire pregnancy? I’d love to hear your birth story. x
So, so, so cute! Congratulations!
Congratulations Angela! She is very cute :) You are looking fab as well! I was such a mess at 3 days after giving birth..you seem to be doing so well! I would love to hear the birth story, more so because I have been reading all the prego updates here :) Our little guy turned 1 last week, so all i can say is welcome to parenting! It is incredibly difficult, but incredibly fun!
Congratulations!!! She’s beautiful!!! Please share your birth story!!! We’d all love to hear it!!
Congratulations!! She’s beautiful:)
I love hearing birth stories! Bring it on!
What a beauty!!!!!!! I’m so happy for you!!!! Yes please post your labor story, for all the mommas to be out there!!! :o) Congratulations!
Warmest congratulations! She is beautiful. Your birth story is yours to share however you would like, to whatever extent you wish. I am not big into publishing these things online, as it involves a small human who doesn’t yet have a choice what the world reads about her, but you may have a different sense of the online community. In any event, writing out the story while it is still fresh, is a wonderful way to process things, and also to recall and rejoice as time passes.
Congratulations to you both on the arrival of your precious daughter. She is absolutely adorable
Congrats!! I was SO thrilled to see the photo pop up on instagram the other day…
I started following ‘ohsheglows’ around summer last year- you’re blog is what the made me finally take the plunge into vegan-ism. I live in Santa Cruz, CA- it’s not a totally uncommon thing around here! Nutritional yeast, is in every store :)
It’s be great to get to know your blog, and then see this momentous progression in your lives!
A thousands best wishes to you & your growing family!! Please do spill the beans on the birth story!
Would love to hear the birth story!! Don’t leave us in the dark. Every one is a miracle. :)
Congratulations! She’s adorable :)
Would love to hear your birth story! You look so rested and relaxed in the photos, I’m hoping that means that everything went very smoothly for you.
Congrats to you and Eric! Adriana is beautiful and I love the name. :) I love the little family photo of you 3. Take care of yourself and don’t do anything else for the next little while other than feeding, changing and bonding with your baby. Let your hubby, family & friends help you with the rest. :) Yes, I would also love to hear your birth story!
Your whole family is glowing. What a sweet, sweet little face she has. And I love the name. So pretty and unusual, while still being familiar. I know another Adriana with a different spelling and she’s lovely. :)
So glad to hear you are well! Yes, I’d love to hear the birth story, too.
She is perfect! What a beautiful family. Congratulations!
Wow! Congrats!! She’s still a summer baby-by one day! She looks truly precious, happy and healthy.
This makes me think of a saying I heard recently – the last babies of summer are born optimists, because while everyone else is savouring the last of the long days, warm sun and ripe tomatoes (and everything else wonderful about summer), they will just be enjoying it for the first time! Congratulations, and I’d love to hear your birth story.
Congratulations on the safe arrival of your little lady. What wonderful news and so lovely to have been able to share your pregnancy journey with you.
Would love to hear about the birth.
Robyn xx
Oh congratulations!! She is absolutely beautiful! What a wonderful, exciting time for you both :) And yes, I’d love to hear the birth story too :)
