I’m bursting with joy to tell you that our baby girl, Adriana, arrived Sunday September 21st at 1:34pm, weighing 7 pounds and 20 inches in length. She decided to arrive 1 day before her due date – fooling her mama entirely because by that point I was convinced she was coming a week late. Not long after I published my 39 week post on Saturday, I started going into early labour (I just didn’t know that’s what it was at the time!).
I never knew life could be so crazy happy (or crazy challenging, for that matter). It’s like we’ve known her all our lives. I’m not normally a person who relaxes a great deal, but she’s shown me how to live in the moment and enjoy the right now. I feel like my life has a new sense of meaning and purpose and I’m really excited to get to know her a bit more every day. One thing is for sure, she has a great dad and looks so much like him. I can’t get over the hilarious facial expressions she makes. We have laughed so much in the 4 short days we’ve known her.
Ok, Adriana says it’s feeding time once again! Back to it.
ps – I’m thinking about sharing our birth story on here, so let me know if that is something you’d be interested in.
Thank you for all your love and support!!

Many many congratulations to both of you! Adrianna is beautiful! May God Bless her!!
Congrats to you and Eric!! I would love to hear about your birth experience, as I am 34 weeks today and getting ready to meet my little one very soon as well!
She looks very wise. I am so glad the world has an amazing new human being!
Wish you all the best, Franziska
Congratulations! You guys look great! Adriana is gorgeous! Of course, I would love to hear your birth story! Your freezer meals will certainly help now! Try o sleep when she sleeps! :)
So precious! Congratulations to you and Eric. I love reading birth stories.
I would love to hear your birth story. I am so very happy for you.
I love your blog and I look forward to reading your baby page every week!! I hope your baby blog does not stop here. My husband and I are loosely trying to have a baby (I say loosely because I don’t want to make it a job) and your blog is so encouraging. I tear up almost every time because it is just full of sweetness and love for baby Adriana. I would love to hear all about your birthing story, please do share.
Sending love to the little bundle of joy!
Congratulations; what a beautiful family!
Of course we want to hear the story! So happy for your little family. Adriana is absolutely beautiful!
Your sweet baby and happy smile brought such joy to my day! Congratulations! Enjoy every minute of that newborn yumminess!
Congratulations, Angela! I would love to hear about your birth story and how you decided on Adriana’s name (it’s my favorite name, if I ever have a baby girl :)!).
PS. How is Sketchie doing, health-wise? <3
Congratulations Angela and Eric! I’m so happy for you both! Adriana is beautiful and I’m so happy you’re enjoying parenthood so much already.
P.S. I’d love to hear your birth story!
Congratulations, she looks perfect! This is partly the result of a very healthy mama, I am sure!
She’s just beautiful. I would love to hear your birth story! I like sharing mine too. I hope you’re getting an hour or two of sleep here and there. Those first few weeks (months) are tough.
My little guy was born a year ago on 9/16, it’s a wonderful time of year for a baby!
Congratulations Angela & Eric. She is absolutely beautiful….so is her name. Looks just like her daddy. I would really enjoy reading her birth story! Since we are expecting our little one to debut end of November/first week of December, I’ve started reading ALL the birth stories I can.
Congratulations again and hope you are taking advantage of all of your freezer meals. You are absolutely glowing, mama!
Congrats Angela and Eric – she is lovely. She looks cheeky and so alert already – I bet she is going to be a character! Would love to hear your birth story – I always find them so interesting to read having all that ahead of me!. Congrats again.
ps am eagerly awaiting the arrival of your cookbook. I have been in a food rut so am looking forward to trying out some new dishes.
Congratulations Angela and Eric!!!!! There is nothing better in the world! Just want to say thank you for all your great recipes and posts. My family loves everything you make (and now I make). Pretty much every meal in our house is an “Oh She Glows” meal!! Thank you for your New York City post too. My husband and I had a great date night due to your restaurant recommendations!
Congratulations Angela and Eric! She is so beautiful. You have handled your pregnancy and birth with such grace and are a true inspiration in this world of instant updates and connectedness. I’m so glad you two were able to take time away and just be with your baby.
I’d love to hear your birth story. I don’t have children but there’s a huge baby boom amongst my friends and I love hearing these stories, especially since every single one ends with the words: every thing I went through in the last 10 months (or longer!), I would go through a million times again just to have my baby.
Congratulations again! Everybody looks happy and healthy. It’s nice to have a half body shot of Eric. I mean the man does have some nice hands but it was definitely great to see his smiling and smitten face. Endless love is written there. Check in when you can!
You know we’d love to read your birth story! Congratulations. She’s absolutely gorgeous!
