The Attack of Writer’s Block

March 18, 2009

Good morning!

Does anyone have writer’s block when they sit down to write posts sometimes?
I’ve been sitting here kind of like ‘Duh……” for about 15 mins. and I haven’t a clue what to write about! lol. Duhhhhh.

Wedding Dress Photoshoot: Part 4

I still waiting on some professional pictures to show you all! I am so anxious to see them. Hopefully by today I will have some to post!

My photographers know about my website. At the workshop Dave actually asked me, “Is that your website that has been giving me so many hits a day!?!?!” LOL. It was pretty funny. I happen to think they are amazing people- and photographers- so I will do everything I can to spread the word about their work. Check out my wedding page to see many of our wedding pictures!

Dave actually has a really cool idea for a contest giveaway on Oh She Glows. Nothing is confirmed yet, but he wants to do a FREE PHOTOSHOOT giveaway for one lucky Oh She Glows reader. Naturally I was so excited about the idea. It could be any type of shoot (except wedding obviously) such as a boudoir shoot (in lingerie- Charlotte does these shoots), children, Engagement, personal shots, etc. Dave was thinking it would be fun to challenge Oh She Glows readers to take before and after pictures of their weight loss. While I think that is a cool idea, I’m not sure it would work for those readers who are already at the perfect weight. If anyone has any cool ideas of what we could make the challenge be- please email me at [email protected] ! I think it is going to be a really fun contest. You would have a chance to work with some of the best photographers in the industry!

The Running Beast

Look what Eric moved for me!! I was wishing that I could watch TV while on the treadmill the other day so Eric rotated my running beast to face the TV in the office now. :D Yippee!

The Green Continues

I woke up so hungry this morning so I had a hefty Green Monster and one of my wonderful Sweet + Spicy Zucchini Breakfast Muffins:

I didn’t think it was possible but these muffins are even better the next day!!!! They are so moist they don’t require any butter.

Yum!

Morning Brain Stimulator:

What is your proudest fitness moment?

One of mine was finally getting to the point in my training where I could run without taking any walking breaks. I never would have thought that would be possible before.

Another was being a fast pitch softball picther and pitching in the winning game of the championships.

Also, learning how to snowboard and making it down a black diamond without killing myself! :)

OOOH yes, I definitely get writer’s block!! I can ONLY write when I’m in that “creative mindset.”

Stunning muffins!!

**my proudest fitness moment = listening to my body, and giving up cardio in favor of yoga (daily) and strength-training (5 times per week with my trainer).

Watching TV definitely makes the time go by faster! Proudest Fitness Moment – I’m not sure! I’ll get back to you on that one!

I definitely had writer’s block this morning. And that’s not good because I always need to get out the door in the morning…

The photoshoot sounds cool :)

Hmm my proudest fitness moment – I have two. First, being able to walk up this long, steep hill near my house and not be winded at all by the time I got to the top. Second, going out for a run for the first time and being able to run for several minutes straight. Both of these moments really made me realize that I’ve made progress on my fitness and it was awesome!

If I’m working out inside I always need to watch TV. I just get bored and then start focusing way too much on how much time has passed – which only makes it go by slower!

I would so love to win a contest like that. Hubby and I have no wedding pictures (some of the drama is on my blog, but I haven’t even wrote about the half of it), so it would mean so much to me to be able to have a photo shoot done. :)

love the photo shoot idea!

Glam shots would be fun – and my husband and I haven’t taken any pictures together since we got married almost 5 years ago! Maybe it’s time for some more *real* pictures of us :)

My fitness moment was when I was finally able to run 15 minutes with stopping. Now I can do more than that, but I remember that day. Before that, I had never run more than 4 minutes at a time!

That’s a pretty good post for someone that didn’t know what to write about :)
My proudest moment is fitness is my ability to run for 8 miles! I remember the day when I thought I was going to die after finishing ONE mile. Next challenge – run those 8 miles outside instead of the treadmill. Heck, run 5 miles outside. That’s much harder!

Good morning Angela!

What a cool idea for a photo contest- I 100% plan on hiring your photographers for my wedding…one day ;o) They certainly do amazing work. It seems as though so many people are in different places in life (over weight, at their perfect weight, married, engaged, single) maybe the contest can simply be for a photo shoot of your choice?

Proudest fitness moment? When I moved to Philadelphia, I started running the Benjamin Franklin Bridge. I used to have to stop and walk maybe 4 or 5 times just on the incline up to the top). The day I was able to run the whole distance without stopping si definitely my proudest moment. I am now a fitness phenatic (spin at least 3 days a week, run, yoga, etc) and am leaving the business world to become a personal trainer full time, and obtain my RD.

Best wishes on a fantastic day!

Ah, writer’s block. Since I work in the publishing industry, I hear about and deal with that all the time.

My proudest moment was my last swim race in college. I hadn’t had a good season and nobody thought that I’d get a PR – much less a win – on my final 100-yard free. I think both my body and my mind were FREAKING out because it was the last time I would ever swim competitively, so I ended up winning the race and going faster than I ever had before! It was amazing. I felt like I was flying! I’m excited to have a moment like that again, now that I’m training for the half-marathon. There’s going to come a time when every workout I have is the hardest of my running career, so I’ll probably have a ton of “WOW!” moments.

Oh! For the contest: what if you had people do polyvore/inspiration boards using either a photo from your website or a piece of the OSG gear? Weddingbee just had a contest like this to give away bridesmaid dresses, and they got some incredible entries.

I’m an Editorial Assistant at a magazine – writer’s block and I are close acquaintances! I find it helpful to step away from the page. Sometimes diverting my attention for even just a minute or two helps. BTW: Forget sugar, sounds like your hubby is as sweet as it gets!

I would to have professional photos done, but not happy with my body right now so I would have to loose some more weight first!

Best moment: would be running on the treadmill for the first time and being able to run more than 15 minutes.. Made me feel like I could do it.. :)

I haven’t had a proud fitness moment for a very long time. :(. Mine would have to be also learning to snowboard, and then giving lessons and watching other people conquer their fears and frustrations…

I’m looking forward (oh please be soon), to more proud moments to come.
