Unbelievable! I find the past month or so has just flown by! :) Soon I will be able to garden. I hope this year to start a small veggie garden as well as plant lots of flowers. I have never really gardened before so I will appreciate all of your tips!
Do any of you garden? What do you plant? I need some ideas! :)
Green Monster:
I had a wonderful and healthy breakfast this morning, with a shot of the delicious POM Blueberry Juice:
In the mix:
- 1 handful baby organic spinach
- 2 organic kale leaves
- 1.25 cups Almond Breeze
- 1 Tbsp homemade almond butter
- 1 Tbsp flax
- 1/2 ripe banana
- 1 shot of POM juice
This smoothie was PERFECT! A lovely Friday antioxidant powerhouse!

Vegas Fall ‘07:
I will end today with some pictures of our Vegas trip in fall of ‘07. It was our first time there! Eric was sent on a work trip and everything was paid for. All I had to pay for was my flight! Pretty amazing! :)

Mandalay Bay has its own beach! I got to lounge while Eric was at his conference…mauhauha.
While it was really fun to explore Vegas, we can’t say we really want to go back. 1) We hated all the smoke everywhere. Being in Ontario where everything is smoke free is really nice. I hate the fact that the casinos are so smoky you can’t breathe and your clothes all stink the next day. 2) We also aren’t gamblers! lol. I enjoyed all the sights and the shopping though. :) Oh and the restaurants were fabulous! Oh and the people watching was out of this world!!!!!

As for gardening, I am looking forward to starting my own this year as well- in the past I have been pretty successful with tomato plants, so I think that’s a great place to start.
I’ve been to Vegas a couple of times to visit my grandparents who live there. Although I don’t care for the casinos, I liked visiting the lobbies of the themed hotels and going hiking in Red Rock Canyon. I remember we went to see the hoover dam one day too! So Vegas is becoming a little more family friendly in my opinion.
BTW I LOVE your shirt dress in the photos! Where did you get it?
uh oh…I’m supposed to go to Vegas this fall for a kid and baby expo…and I HATE second hand smoke…
I’m heading to Vegas for Easter weekend. I have been once before. I don’t gamble and I’m not a huge Vegas person, but the bf and I were looking for somewhere to go for a weekend getaway and there was a lot of crazy deals at the moment. We mostly want to shop since there is no shopping where we live! And we’re also going to do a helicopter tour of the Grand Canyon and possibly a show. It will be a packed weekend for sure!
I live in Vegas! Weird right! I grew up outside of Boston but moved here for my boyfriend. We work out of the house here, don’t worry I’m not a stripper or anything! :) Not sure how much longer we will live here, maybe another year or so, then off to someplace new (Tucson maybe?)
Also – They have enforced new rules about smoking here, and it isn’t nearly as bad. I mean, it’s not amazingly clean, but it is much more bearable.
Oh, and we don’t even gamble either.
You can see the strip from our house, but we probably only make it down there once a month, or when visitors come.
WOW! Vegas is gorgeous! I am dying to go there. My parents are actually going there next week!

I JUST got back from my first trip to vegas and blogged about it yesterday :) I too LOVED the food, people watching, and the different casinos. I HATED all the smoke, and I’m not a gambler :(

love gardens, we have a huge one at my parents house so in the summer most of our produce comes from there. We grow lettuce, tomatoes, peppers, green beans, raspberries so delicious! Love all the trip pictures, keep posting them for sure. Lastly, yes I love Ontario’s no smoking laws, its so much nicer now to go out and not come home smelling like smoke!
I have been to vegas once for my 21st birthday and it was SO FUN! I have always wanted to go back just havent gotten there yet :)

vegas is so fun!! i can see how it could be a hit or miss kind of place. my favorite part of vegas is the attitude that everyone has while there — just live it up!!! i’m not really a gambler, although the slots are fun for a bit, and the shops are just too expensive for me! what i love though are the hotels, pools, people watching, getting super dressed up, awesome restaurants, the Paris buffet, and dancing!! the very best part of vegas is finding a completely fabulous club and dancing the night away. literally, the whole night! one thing tho, i DONT think vegas is a long trip kind of place. the most time i’ve ever spent there is 2 nights and by the third day, i’m always ready to go LOL
My parents got married in Vegas on a cross-country road trip nearly 33 years ago – it’s a pretty fantastic story (made better by the fact that they’ve been happily married for those 33 years!).
My mom and sister and I are actually going in a few weeks to celebrate my sister’s graduating nursing school. I’m with you on the smoking and gambling, but I am looking forward to seeing Hoover Dam.

Vegas is one of my favorited places! Ever since my 21st b-day I go every year. It’s so huge and constantly changing, each trip is always a new experience. I love the shopping, food, shows, all of it! I’ll be going again in April.
