Hey there!
Just when I thought I couldn’t be MORE grossed out by public pools you guys have to scare me more! Oh man. It will seriously be like Fear Factor when I stick my toe into that water…
I hope you are having a good Wednesday. :) Today has been a busy one…another training day, orders completed, and lots of business stuff going on. Git er done…!
Lunch consisted of leftovers…
I simply took my lentil Neat Sauce out of the freezer and it thawed in the fridge overnight.
My fridge has certainly been working for me overnight lately…from Vegan Overnight Oats to de-thawing the next day’s food. ;)
This portion is about 2 cups worth, so I split it into 2 lunches.
With some discounted organic celery- which might I add, still has a lot of life left in it!
I actually got up and grabbed the Roasted Red Pepper Hummus for a dip. :) Celery is just…plain on its’ own.
Dessert- Dried organic apricots. One of my all time favourite snacks…
Dinner was leftovers from last night’s Feelin’ Good Stew. I just love this stew! I was looking forward to it all day.
I love the addition of the quinoa in this stew…I’m so glad I threw it in on a whim! It really bulked it up.
Dessert was a tablespoon of organic dark chocolate chips and 1/2 tablespoon of coconut oil melted in the micro.
Random yet blissful.
Eric and I just got back from a visit to a sports store where I tried on 1 piece swimsuits (for triathlon training) and padded bike shorts. I left feeling like a 7 year old with a diaper issue. Hopefully I have more luck at the next store!
I really need to get used to the idea of wearing a 1 piece swimsuit again. I actually laughed when I tried one on and looked in the mirror. Seven year old or a grown woman, I couldn’t be sure…
Tonight’s question- Do you own a swimsuit and if so, what kind(s) do you rock? 1 piece, bikini, tankini, thong, bikini, speedo…? ;)
Any suggestions for a killer training swimsuit?
Also if you’d like to win a bag of premium chia seeds from Chia Seeds Direct, give me your best tip for SWIMSUIT CONFIDENCE below! Open to Canadian and US residents only please. Contest closes Thursday at 5pm EST.
My best tip for swimsuit confidence is to rock what your mama gave you. No one else has YOUR unique body so go show it off and strut your stuff. Be proud of who you are and how hard you work each day to keep yourself healthy and fit.
On that note, I’m going to pass out on the couch…it has been a long day! Can’t wait to snuggle my man and watch some Marriage Ref (Tom Papa we love u!).
Have a great night. :)

Swimsuit confidence: get a spray tan (no tanning beds!), smile big and enjoy the no doubt BEAUTIFUL ocean!!!!
My best tip is just to rock it!
My best tip for swimsuit confidence is to NOT try it on under the florescent lights of ANY store! Buy it and try it on at home..lights at home at always kinder!
I own two swimsuits and they are both bikinis. I would like to get a newer swimsuit this year; maybe I’ll get a tankini?
My best swimsuit confidence tip is to do a quick 5-10 minute body weight workout (push ups, planks, lunges, ab work) before you adorn yourself with your swimsuit. I read somewhere that the quick workout will give your muscles a boost so that they look more defined. Plus the quick workout should give you some endorphins which will give you the confidence to rock that swimsuit in style!
Good luck with the triathlon swimsuit and bike short shopping!
I agree with the quick workout idea! :)
Strut your stuff, don’t worry about what other people are thinking. You look beautiful just the way you are :)
Do something while you are wearing your swimsuit!!! My best tip for swimsuit confidence is not just to lay there trying to bronze yourself while worrying about what you look like. Get up and play volleyball, run/walk along the beach, and swim in the water! You will get more color this way anyways AND being active will make you feel more confident and proud of your rockin’ body!!
Rock what you got- in a snazzy color that suits you! Since I was a competitive swimmer for 7 years, I swear by Speedo or TYR. I always go for a black suit with some sort of fun/bright colored design added to it. I love one-piece suits…but beach-time obviously calls for the bikini! Hope I win those Chiasssssss! Yum!
My best tip for swimsuit confidence is find the right swimsuit to fit your body shape and hide your imperfections, if you think you have them ;)
The other swimsuit advice is great! But also remember not to stress too much because hopefully you’ll be under water most of the time!
Ah the one piece… he. I’d say to pick something SUPER cute instead of just plain black!
Swimsuit confidence: SMILE. If you walk around with a frown and stare straight at the ground, you’ll look as uncomfortable as you feel. But if you put on a big smile and look straight ahead, you project confidence that radiates.
I like to rock out my tri-training-self with a racer back speedo or a TYR. A suggestion for suits in highly chlorinated water…get something made out of polyester. The cholorine will eat it up and then stretch out – that has been my experience with both brands of suits if not polyester.
Rocking out with your bathing suit confidence to me means, appreciating the body that I have been working on to bring to optimal health and strutting it on deck! Back rolls and all!!
Though I’m overweight, I’ve never struggled with wearing a swimsuit. Wanna know why? It’s because I’m always there to SWIM. I love the water, and that tops any insecurites I may be feeling ;)
My tip? Think about ALL the thoughts that you’re thinking about yourself – then realize that everyone else is thinking about THEIR bodies JUST as much – they don’t have time to think about you!
And don’t judge others if you don’t want to be judged :D
My best advice for rocking that body is to be PROUD of yourself — proud of the healthy food you feed your body, proud of the awesome shape you have achieved with the hours of running, lifting weights, doing yoga, living a relatively stress-free life..
We take awesome care of our bodies and they do not fail us — we are strong, REAL, unique…our bodies allow us to walk, run, bake, snuggle with the hubby, live a fulfilling life.
Thus, be PROUD, and know that your body is not about what it looks like (yes, we all have flaws, dimples, flab), but what it can do for you!!!
My body is going to allow me to run a 5k this weekend to support pediatric brain cancer. Ange — you body is going to allow you to finish a half marathon and a TRI. How on Earth can we be ashamed of something that can allow us to accomplish THAT?? :) Flaunt it and be PROUD!
Don’t check yourself out too often! Be confident in your bikini and you will look even more beautiful :)
I recently started to rock a bikini for the first time since I was a kid. However I do really want a one piece for swimming in. I can’t win the chia seeds, but being proud is the key, my stretchmarks just show that I was bigger and now I’m not, I’m so proud of what I have achieved.
i definitely like wearing a bikini. And as you said Rock what your mama gave you! You should feel confident in whatever swim suit you wear, it doesn’t matter what others think, its what you think about yourself. Do what you feel is comfortable. You’ve gotta be comfortable in your own skin, because well… you’re the one wearing it for the rest of your life!
This is my first post — yay!
I found your website through a link on yumsugar and I’m now a devoted fan of yours. In fact, you’re my daily fix! I”m loving all the new food ideas as well.
My tip for confidence in a swimsuit is just 2 simple steps:
1) Set of 20 pushups, 50 situps, and 20 squats before you go
2) Fabulous pair of wedges (think approx 3″) because a tiny heel always makes the legs look long, lean, and awesome
My swimsuit confidence tip: stand tall with confidence and think you’re the “sh!t”…who will be able to judge someone who has that much confidence!?!?
My boyfriend gave me the best swimsuit advice. He said own it and rock it. I would also never ever in a million years wear a two piece (maybe tankini but not bikini).
