Tropical Bliss Green Monster

July 21, 2009

Good afternoon!

It’s been non-stop again today. I still haven’t broken for lunch, but will be doing that after this post! I’m just too dedicated to you guys! haha ;)

Did lots of orders today…

Sweet Wheat Sugar Cookies

Chocolate Chip Walnut

Glonuts

Revive Glo Bars + Zen Glo Bars

Used up the last of the ‘old labels’ ;)

I also spent a lot of time on the phone with the government…I just recently had my GST tax number issued and am in the process of receiving my PST number. It is great, but it has just meant that I now have to do a ton of more paperwork! Part of the business I guess.

~~~~~
I had a fun new green monster today!
Tropical Bliss Green Monster
Ingredients:
  • 3 cups steamed spinach
  • 1 cup soy milk
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 4 cubes ice
  • 1.5 tsp. lemon zest
  • 1 cup cantaloupe
  • 1 tsp orange zest
  • 1 squirt Kyolic garlic extract
  • 1 T chia seeds
  • 1 T coconut oil
This was one of my favourite green monsters! It is sooo tropical and lovely tasting! I strongly suggest making it! The coconut + cantaloupe + lemon/orange zest really go well together.
Anyone know the name of these flowers? They remind me of bumblebees.
My Zester broke last night! :( It was an expensive one from William Sonoma that we got with a wedding gift card too. Just goes to show that expensive stuff isn’t always better quality!
Handle less…
IMG_0250
And the handle went on a measuring cup! What the heck! lol
IMG_0253
I also continue to lose the battle with the tape gun :(
I can’t wait to upgrade to some professional bakery stuff down the road…lol.
I have been meaning to mention my Kirkland plastic wrap from Costco! I love Kirkland products!
IMG_0254
This is the best money you will ever get from plastic wrap! We bought this 3.5 years ago from Costco and it is still going strong!!! 3.5 years!!!!!!!! I think my sister has had hers for 5! lol. I love Costco…I wish one would open in near us!
Well, I’m off to pack my orders and boot it to Canada Post again! I think the lady always laughs because I squeal into the post office at like two minutes before 4pm. ;) Like a bat outta hell at times…
Will be working out tonight…I can’t believe how quick my body bounced back from the 10 mile race! I am now a FIRM believer in stretching and proper nutrition!!!!!!!!
Audios!
I’m so glad you’re feeling better already after your race! Your obviously doing something right since you’ve got the energy to run 10 milers, bake delicious treats and say ‘hi’ to all of us readers :) Keep up the great work!!
OMGoodness, those cookies look delish!
Have you tried different packing tape in your dispenser? Not all packing tape is created equal. There’s the good stuff and the thin/crinkles-easy kind. Maybe check at Canada post while your there.
Love the Kirkland shrink wrap, too. If you can believe it, our first box lasted 8 years! We always joked that when the plastic wrap was done, so was the marriage! Well, here we are at 11 years and on our second box of wrap! :)
Angie, I love your blog! I have actually never commented, but I do read everyday. You always give me lots of interesting things to think about. And great meal ideas!
Anyway, I used to work at Williams-Sonoma back in the day and they take back just about anything. You should return your zester!
Good luck!
Cookies and gonuts? Please make it a HUGE announcement when you can ship to the US….I’m drooling down here in FLA! Oh and I’m pretty sure the flowers are impatiens. PS. My parents date their roll of plastic cling when they buy a new one from Sam’s Club (like Costco). too funny!
