‘I don’t have a goal weight, I have a goal life.’
I heard this quote while watching an interview with an Extreme Weight Loss participant and it really clicked with me!
Along my journey, I realized that a certain number on the scale wouldn’t magically make my life perfect. For years I chased this number while becoming more and more unhappy.
I now focus on creating the life that I want, by taking small steps each day. It’s about how I feel each day when I wake up. If I wake up happy and eager to start the day, I know I’m on the right track. A certain number can’t dictate my happiness, but I can make changes in my life to feel my best.
While, I’m busy baking up orders today, I thought it would be fun to have a Glo Bar giveaway!
Leave a comment below sharing a lesson you’ve learned along your journey or simply share one of your favourite quotes.
One lucky winner will receive a delicious box of 10 Glo Bars! Goodluck!

Nike didn’t ask me to say this but I love ‘just do it’. I tend to overthink everything so this simple saying always gives me the push I need!
Plus or minus (okay, okay, rarely is it ever the latter) a few pounds really doesn’t make a difference! Unless you’re 24 inches tall, nobody – including yourself – will notice. :)
Fall seven times, stand up eight.
It’s so sweet of you to do this giveaway – and my tummy could surely use these scrumptious treats!!!
I would like to say that my life is guided by The Golden Rule. It always enlightens me to make better decisions for myself and for others, and it gives me the strength to push forward through harships while knowing that I am living kindly and doing good things for others.
“The peace within becomes the harmony without”
c.s. lewis once wrote, “You don’t have a soul. You are a Soul. You have a body.” and i tell myself, “you are not a body. you have a body. you are a soul.”
“I am here to live out loud” Emil Zola
Love it. I use it to remind myself that my life is meant to be lived, loved and shared.

My favorite quote is from Portia De Rossi’s book: “Healing comes from love”
This has really rung true to me during my journey in veganism – it has helped me overcome my struggle with bulimia.
My favorite is from Portia De Rossi’s book:
“Healing comes from love”
This has rung true for me during my journey in dealing with builimia. I can’t heal until I learn to love myself for who I am. :)
When I first became vegetarian, I was forced to think about what I was eating. All of a sudden I was aware of all of the crap I had been eating and began to focus more on fueling my body with healthy foods.
“After the game, the king and pawn go into the same box.” – Italian proverb
“Pain is temporary, pride is forever” – love that one!
My favorite lesson thus far has been:
“Don’t worry about the future. Or worry, but know that worrying is as effective as trying to solve an algebra equation by chewing bubble gum. The real troubles in your life are apt to be things that never crossed your worried mind, the kind that blindside you at 4 p.m. on some idle Tuesday.”
You will fall off track. You won’t always eat right and sometimes you will miss work outs. Life happens. The most important thing is that you hop back on. -me :)
This isn’t a quote but something I hold very true in my heart.
It all works out. Always. It may not be right now. It may not be the way you planned for. It may take some time and hardship to reach it. But in the end, it will work out. And if it isn’t (as pretty much always) how you envisioned it would be, it will be that way because it is so much better than you could ever have imagined.
Every wall is a door ~ Ralph Waldo Emerson
I had something discouraging happen tonight and I just need to remember that it’s a path of personal growth. What sucks now will make me stronger later!
….Right?
Your blog never fails to lift my spirit after a tough day!
I learned that I’m my happiest when I eat real food. The processed stuff was doing me no favors.
One of the best lessons I’ve learned in life is this —- What you think of me, is none of my business. It’s what I believe that counts.
