I’m bursting with joy to tell you that our baby girl, Adriana, arrived Sunday September 21st at 1:34pm, weighing 7 pounds and 20 inches in length. She decided to arrive 1 day before her due date – fooling her mama entirely because by that point I was convinced she was coming a week late. Not long after I published my 39 week post on Saturday, I started going into early labour (I just didn’t know that’s what it was at the time!).
I never knew life could be so crazy happy (or crazy challenging, for that matter). It’s like we’ve known her all our lives. I’m not normally a person who relaxes a great deal, but she’s shown me how to live in the moment and enjoy the right now. I feel like my life has a new sense of meaning and purpose and I’m really excited to get to know her a bit more every day. One thing is for sure, she has a great dad and looks so much like him. I can’t get over the hilarious facial expressions she makes. We have laughed so much in the 4 short days we’ve known her.
Ok, Adriana says it’s feeding time once again! Back to it.
ps – I’m thinking about sharing our birth story on here, so let me know if that is something you’d be interested in.
Thank you for all your love and support!!

Congratulations you two (and to your whole family as well). Little Adrina is such a doll, and does she ever look like her Daddy! I would love to her your birth story…I just love all things baby :)
How exciting is Christmas going to be this year!?!!
Congratulations on your tiny, adorable little miracle!! Babies are amazing, challenging and the best things in the world. You look amazing and so happy and your little is so lucky to have you guys as her parents. )Can not wait to hear about yummy kiddo recipes you come up with too!)
She’s here and she’s just so lovely! Of course we’d love to read the birth story!!
I’m also wondering if in the next few months you might share the naming process. I’d love to hear at what moment you chose the (beautiful) name, if it was always the top contender, where you found it, how you matched it to a middle name. The whole naming process really fascinates me, especially since you chose such unique name.

This post showed up in my newsfeed and I’m beside myself with how gorgeous she is! Most newborns are squinty-eyed and usually crying but she’s so alert and has perfect skin. You and Eric must be so proud, she’s an absolute doll! I’d love to hear your birth story, thank you for sharing this journey with us.
I have an 11-month old and I’ll never forget that first week; completely shell-shocked (and we were well prepared), hormonal and dead-tired. I couldn’t believe how often he needed to be fed and changed! You and Eric look like old-pros, and you’re glowing as per usual. :)
Hi Angela! I know you’re probably bombarded with comments just like this one but I wanted to say congratulations on having such a lovely baby girl:) I’m only sixteen right now and trying out this vegan thing but you’ve always been such a great inspiration and to see you so happy makes me happy too! Yay Yay Yay! I’m thrilled for you! You are in for such a wonderful, emotional ride. I’d love to hear your birth story. I still love talking about my daughter’s birth and she’s almost 15 months old. Best day ever! A great tip I got from friends was to write everything down that she does. You’ll love looking at it later.
Enjoy! You all look so blissed out in these photos. Love it!
