Alright, lets cut to the chase.
After several days of anticipation, I present to you my new running beast in all its glory:

It is a Landice Cardio Trainer!
The brand is rated #1 treadmill for the past 7 years by Consumer Reports.
It also is made out of Aircraft quality 6063-T6 Aluminum and has a unique shock absorbing system that is super easy on the joints:
“The VFX (Variable Flex) system features multiple shock-absorbing elements, which self-tune to a user’s stride to provide optimal performance in the strike, thrust, and kick zones.
Absorbing shock in the vertical direction only, the VFX system is softest when the runner’s foot strikes the deck. During this strike, the system does not allow side-to-side or rocking motions, which can be harmful to joints and knees.”
When I tested the treadmills, I couldn’t get over how much softer the Landice treadmills were to walk and run on.
Since I have had problems with my knees and feet while running (I over-pronate and have high arches), I knew this would be the best investment for my body if I am to run long-term.

After my dinner digested, I got dressed and couldn’t wait to try out my new running beast! I even set up my laptop in front of me so I could watch an episode of The Hills while I ran. :D
Eric and I did 2 takes….one of which I almost fell off the treadmill when I turned around and waved goodbye! lol. Eric wanted that one posted. Maybe next year. haha. Note to self: Do not turn around and talk while running on a treadmill!
It was a fabulous quick run:
Ran 1 mile @ 6.0 mph incline 7 (10 min. mile) Combo of walking and running (another 10 mins) Max heart rate: 170 bpm (87% of max) Avg Heart rate: 149 bpm (76% of max) Total duration: 20 mins. Total distance: 1.70 miles~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Sketchie has a new found love for the outdoors. Being a city cat since he was born, he has not experienced wild life until now….
