Good morning!
I am definitely fighting a slight cold (Eric too) because the past couple mornings I have not wanted to get out of bed despite having a full 8-8.5 hours sleep! I hate that feeling. Normally, I am wide awake after 8 hours of rest. My nose is a bit stuffy too. Although that could be from all of the dust floating around here since we were sanding the walls. I just washed the floors and now I have to do it again! Boo.
Last night was fun!
We got dressed up and headed out around 7pm:
Not sure what happened to the flash of this photo!?
In the car:
Silly Eric paying attention to the road when I was trying to snap a pic! The nerve, lol.
Eric and I used our gift card and treated ourselves to a nice dinner out at Moxie’s. I enjoyed a delicious meal:
- Lemon Pepper Halibut with Spinach sauteed in a white wine and balsamic vinagrette sauce
- 6 oz. of chardonnay
The meal was supposed to come with garlic mashed potatoes, but since I am a huge spinach fan I had the mashed potatoes substituted for more spinach. I ate every last piece of the spinach (it was sooo good) and half of the halibut.
Eric had a bacon cheeseburger with fries and a ceasar salad to start. Typical guy fare! :D He knows we don’t buy meat much anymore or cheese so when we go out he splurges on his old favourites.
We of course passed up dessert because we knew what was waiting for us at home- CUPCAKES!
I had a cupcake (with icing) and Eric had 1 1/2 cupcakes. They were soooo good!
Then we watched the movie Sahara, which we had seen but I picked it because we weren’t in the mood for a chick flick. I think I have worn out The Notebook (lol!). Don’t worry I will give it some time and it’ll be back in business!
Sketchie was knocked out cold on my lap:
So. Damn. Cute. I love when he covers his eyes!

Well, my tummy is rumbling so I am off to make a Green Monster!
The weather is beautiful outside today so Eric and I are going to go on a light hike. I sure hope my leg doesn’t start hurting. If it does that is fine,w e will just sit in the sun and get some Vitamin D. :)
I had the biggest urge to go running today when I saw the sunshine. All I kept reminding myself was thank gosh my injury didn’t happen in the Spring or summer! I am actually really lucky that it happened in the winter when I can’t go outside much anyways. Gotta focus on the positives!
Oh and I just heard that our amazing engagement + wedding photographers got engaged last night- how cute! I’m so happy for them.

Ciao beauties!
Beauty is an experience, nothing else. It is not a fixed pattern or an arrangement of features. It is something felt, a glow or a communicated sense of fineness. What ails us is that our sense of beauty is so bruised and blunted, we miss all the best.

Aw what a fun night, you look beautiful!!! And I love when my kitty covers her eyes too, so cute!
Have a happy day Angela! :)
Ruffian sleeps like that too! :-P
SO fun!!
Get well soon!!
FYI – you actually won’t be getting any Vitamin D from the sunshine this time of year. If you are north of Florida, the UV rays aren’t strong enough to synthesize Vitamin D from about October – March. Of course, going out the in sun is still great for you mood!
cute pictures of you two! your room looks so much lighter and bigger without that dark green color on the walls.
wow taking down the wallpaper opened up the room sooo much! It looks so much bigger! What color are you going to paint it now?
Love the new paint! Great transformation.
You gals have mastered the ability of the one handed snapshot. I still can’t do it.
