Happy Canada Day to all my fellow Canadians!!!!
Why I am proud to be Canadian:
I am proud to be a Canadian because we are FRIENDLY people! It sounds cliché, but it is TRUE!
I also love the beauty of our country and the diversity in climate that you find all over. Where else can you find several inches of snow in the summer?! ;) Sadly, I haven’t even visited a tiny portion of Canada’s countryside, but I would LOVE to do a cross country trip some day! :)
Yes, I love BEER, HOCKEY, and love to say ‘EH’ just like the rest of ‘em…but I DON’T live in an igloo (although I think my dad did as a kid).
And because who doesn’t love some good Canadian jokes…
CANADIAN JOKE #1
A Canadian is walking down the street with a case of beer under his arm.
His friend Doug stops him and asks, "Hey Bob! Whacha get the case of beer
for?"
"I got it for my wife, eh." answers Bob.
"Oh!" exclaims Doug, "Good trade."
CANADIAN JOKE #2
In Canada, we have two seasons…six months of winter and six months of poor snowmobiling
I hope those put a smile on your face! ;)

The Summer Glow Boot Camp has officially begun!!!
Visit the SGBC page to read all about it!
Want to participate in the SGBC?
Simply leave a comment on this post letting me know your best healthy living tip! :)

I’m excited to be part of this! My healthy living tip is to always read ingredients (even if it seems healthy). If you can’t even pronounce the first three ingredients, they have no business being in your body.
I’m in! best tip: find a routine for working out and eating that is balanced and makes you happy!
My best healthy living tip: eating whole foods. In college I lived on processed foods (Top Ramen for lunch and dinner). I was vegetarian, but not very healthy. Since eliminating processed foods I feel so much better and have a ton of energy! Looking forward to boot camp!
wow angela you have put so much thought in to this it’s truly wonderful.
my best tip: embrace your life and enjoy every minute. you only have one body so love it for all the great things it can do and teh ways it serves you
I’d love to participate in SGBC! My best healthy living tip is to keep moving! Whether it just be deciding to walk over to a co-worker’s office instead of calling or emailing, or taking a parking spot further away from the store, or a full on workout. I feel as long as I keep active throughout the day, it helps me overall to be a healthier person.
Eat REAL whole foods! drinks lots of water, take vitamins, exercise in the way that makes you feel your best and SLEEEPP!
I caught the end of your first Bootcamp and the awesome results you had with it, so I thought: This might be for me! I already exercise daily, but I would like help in honing in on toning certain body parts and, of course, eating habits. I tend to be a big snacker…and love my carby totilla chips and things that just don’t fill me up. I wish I reached for only the healthy snacks like raw veggies all the time, but that’s not what I crave. I would like help on getting my cravings under control!!
Thanks!!
Jennifer
Oh, healthy living tip…exercise! And, I love going to a gym or group exercises to help hold me accountable.
And, would you mind posting or emailing back about what body parts you measured for the previous Bootcamp?
My healthy tip is to try new fruits and vegetables! Learn to love healthy foods by trying things in new and exciting ways. The only way to eat healthy for the long haul is to actually enjoy what you’re eating.
Love the challenge, SO EXCITED!!!
I am getting ready for my wedding in October so I thought this will be a fun and inspiring way to keep up my fitness routine beforehand and to shake things up a bit.
My best healthy living tip is to try to stay present, grounded and open no matter what is going on around me.
First – Happy Canada Day!!!!!!!!
Second – You did an amazing job with this! I’m totally in!!!!
Third – My tip is to remember that you’re worth it. If you believe that then everything else will fall into place.
wow this is amazing! i am def going to do this whole month! my best health tip is dont stress over the small stuff and let yourself eat cake when you really want it, but in moderation
I’m in! My best tip would have to be plan ahead! Be proactive, not reactive. You’ll never find time, you have to make time.
Never participated in this kind of thing so quite excited. My best tip is to drink water and eliminate the caffeine. Does wonders for your skin AND sleep! :)
Hi Ange,
I never tried this before but i’m exctied. I’m kicking off my own blog today as well. Yikes!
So excited for the boot camp. I have noticed I really need to tone up after a long break from exercise due to injury. You definitely put a lot of work into this, and it looks great!!
My best health tip = make exercise fun. Don’t do it just to look good, do it because of how it makes you feel. I love to take walks with my fiance after dinner because we get to spend time together and unwind after our day. It doesn’t hurt that we may be burning some extra calories also :)
I think Wisconsin should be included as part of Canada. Haha, we have terrible weather here too… we basically have 2 months of summer and 10 months of winter. Personally, I hate it, but what can ya do? ;)
HAHA! Loved those joke Angela. Too cute!
xxoo
Heather
I am so in!!!
I am really looking forward to the boot camp!! JULY is going to be AWESOME! The Healthy tip I follow is I always take the stairs. (Okay :)anything above 6 floors I take the elevator LOL)
I’m totally excited to participate in the SGBC! I think my healthy tip is weekly planning of meals/snacks, along with trying a new fruit or veggie every week.
What I’ve learned over the past few years is to LISTEN TO YOUR BODY. A lot of times I ate what I had read/thought was good for it or exercised how I thought I should, but the real key to success is to just LISTEN and eat/do what makes ME feel best!
I can’t wait to start this challenge! I missed the last one, so it’ll be fun this time around for me!
