OSG Readers:
When I first asked Angela if she would mind doing a contest to help get our site out there, I wasn’t sure what the response would be. Baby Enchanted hardly fits into the categories food, fitness, fashion, or fun…well, maybe baby fashion! But the comments you left us – the compliments, the referrals, the excitement, the bookmarking…really blew us away! My husband and I sat and read through every single one. Baby Enchanted took us almost a year and a half to build from scratch before we went live about 3 months ago and we are really proud of it, so to hear the same things that we think about it echoed in your comments was an incredible joy. Thank you to everyone who participated, congratulations to those who won, and an extra special thank you to those of you who took the time to tell others! ~Bree
Isn’t she just the sweetest person?? :) Thanks Bree! And congrats to the winners!

Here is my new favourite morning routine in action!
Broccoli or Wheatgrass juice:
Just disgusting I tell you! lol. Like the shot glass? haha. I swear this stuff is worse than a shot of tequila.
My new loose leaf tea steeper arrived yesterday along with the William Ashley shipment:
You can see my legs in the reflective mirror on the pot!! ;)
I have been dreaming of one of these my entire life.
Guess what arrived in the mail last week?
A surprise shipment from my sister Kristi!!!!
A box full of Teaopia products along with a Teaopia gift card.
She got me a huge bag of the Japanese Sencha, Coconut Cream, and a Fit Active tea for fitness enthusiasts! I love the Sencha and Fit Active, but I have yet to try the coconut cream. I think I will today. :) This tea and gift card will keep me going for a long time!
And then of course a Green Monster:
Ingredients:
- 1 cup hemp milk
- 4 cubes ice
- 1 T almond butter
- 1 T chia seeds
- 5 sprigs dandelion
- 2 organic kale leaves
- 1/2 pear
- 1 scoop Amazing Grass Wheatgrass powder
- Squirt Kyolic Garlic
- 1.5 t Maca powder (loving this stuff so much!!!!)
My insides are grinning from ear to ear. So much energy flowing through these veins!!!!
Resting my Legs:
Yesterday I didn’t go on my planned run because I was not feeling it at all. I was feeling tired and not fully rested from my intense runs last week. So I decided to skip the run and wait until I felt better. The last thing I want to do is get this far and then do something stupid and hurt myself or burn myself out the week before an important race. I am hoping to get out today, but that will depend on the weather. Right now it looks like rain so I’ll have to see. If I don’t run today I will do my treadmill hill workout for some X-training. :)

Everything you need is already inside. Just do it. ~Bill Bowerman
omg yay! I won third place! :D How awesome. Bree’s line truly is great, though.
Kristi – I hope youf feel better soon. You’re doing a great thing to your body by letting it re-coup.
LOVE the shot glass! Haha!
What a great sister you have, sending you all that Teaopia stuff, perfect timing to get your tea steeper!
One thing I’ve been doing lately that doesn’t involve being on your feet is Russian Twists (I think AKA Oblique Twists). I’ve been using a 12kg Kettlebell for mine, but without weights works too!
Hope your toe heels quickly Kristi!
Did I seriously win first :)? I never win anything lol!!
Kristi- Im sorry to hear about your toe :( its crazy becasue I just learned about this in class, that there is nothing you can do for broken toes to help them heal faster)Bummer..BUT, you can still maybe work on your arms, and your core, or just enjoy the rest :) your body may appreciate it.
Feel better soon Kristi! Could you go swimming? But at the same time, rest is important so try to enjoy the time off :)
Love ya girl but there’s a difference between “loose” and “lose.”
That text was copied from the website promo stuff. Its now fixed.
Hope you feel better soon Kristi! I would probably work on my upper body with weights :)
This little piggy went to market, this little piggy had roast beef, and this little piggy had none. And this little piggy went wee wee wee all the way home! Did anybody else hear that before or is it just me? Hope your sis feels better and stays off her toes! Great giveaway for a book nerd like me!
LOL!!! This made me laugh :)
just tweeted~!~
I am really sorry to hear about your broken toe Kristi!!! I hope you feel better.. Perhaps you can do some arm exercises in untill it is all better!!
Sorry about your toe, Kristi! Hope it’s not broken I dropped a jar of coins on my foot once and the nail fell off… no fun.
I tweeted this contest :-)
That teapot is my dream come true!
Dearest sister Kristi,
Don’t let your eyes get misty
While broken toes are no fun,
When all is said and done
At least you have a wonderful sisty!
Hahah I tried!!
Sarah
hahaha…very true! :)
feel better Kristi! I would maybe try swimming or upper body weight training while you are recovering.
Oh :( Kristi- you put your foot in it that time! I have two broken toes right now so also looking for exercise ideas. Swimming could be could (I can’t swim so that would be pretty disasterous for me :P ) but upper body work would be good. Above all, just let it heal. Toes heal pretty quickly if they are well-rested!
Great contest and Bree’s store is wonderful. The book cover and book mark contest is also wonderful.
Kristi use electical tape and tape the hurt toe to the one beside it. It will make walking much easier. Lite walking is good and will keep the joint moving and you could bike as you don’t bear weight on your toes to bike. Other then that a few days and you will be good as new.
I dislocated my toe chaseing my dog. Taping helped while it healed. I was out running after about 7 days. Toes heal quick.
Heres to hoping your toe heals very quickly.
In the mean time read a good book. ;^)
Awww….thanks!
From one “Kris” to another…hang in there!! Broken toes are no fun, but at least it wasn’t your ankle or leg! :-) Exercise idea…one legged hops? lol
I love your new tea steeper! I’m green with envy!
Broken toes suck! It will get better though, and just like with anything in life this too shall pass. Take time to get stuff done that you have been putting off, or take time for yourself to read a new book, paint that poor little toe, and give yourself some TLC.
You could try doing push ups, planks (maybe modified on your knees), swimming but only using your arms, and ab workouts. Or, just let it all go and try to enjoy some down time!
Hope your toe feels better soon! I’m currently having a lot of knee pain, so I’ve had to take a few days off. Just hang in there – you’ll feel better soon enough :) Love the giveaway! I just tweeted it. I’m @megaug on twitter!
Feel better, Kristi! Try doing some Pilates… you don’t need to put any weight on your feet while doing the Hundred, Stomach Series, etc!
Oh no Kristi! Feel better soon, and don’t worry about being off of exercise for a bit… you want to rest it as much as it needs so you don’t have to wait even longer to get back to exercise. When I injured my foot, I was able to sit down and read a bunch of books I had been meaning to read, but was always go-go-go. You could try doing something that you really enjoy but never have the time to do anymore. :)
