Do you ever start a project with zest and vitality only to feel like you’ve created an uncontrollable monster after a couple hours?
Examples: Cleaning out your closet. Organizing a pantry. Home renovations. Writing a thesis. Wedding thank yous. Sometimes, it has to get worse before it gets better.
Well, that’s sort of how I felt with this little pet project of mine. What started as an innocent list quickly became a huge undertaking. I asked you for suggestions yesterday on twitter and Facebook for online and in-person stores and they came a floodin’ in! (If you are curious, check out the list here on my Facebook page). My list quickly turned into 4 pages of chicken scratch. Originally, I started making a blog post linking and organizing ALL of the in-store and online vegan stores across the world. You can see how I quickly got in over my head. After working on it all day yesterday, I decided to just focus on the online stores for this post and then figure out what I will do with the storefront list after.
This vegan online shopping guide is a follow-up to Monday’s “Inside my Vegan Pantry” post. My goal for this guide today is to bring awareness to all of the wonderful vegan & vegan-friendly online stores. Feel free to do some price comparing to get the best bang for your buck.
Most of the stores below are food-related, but I also included some clothing and cosmetics as well.
I will add to this list as other recommendations come in (feel free to let me know about other online stores in the comment section!). It’s also likely that I missed some of your suggestions on Twitter and FB yesterday, so you can comment below if you don’t see it on the list and I will add it in.

Tell me below what I’m missing from this list!

In the UK there are a few really good ones, I think Goodness direct has been mentioned as they have some good vegan products, but they aren’t solely vegan. Some others are:
http://www.detoxyourworld.com/ Raw foods, has great nut butters, chia seeds, maca, carob, flax crackers
http://www.vegan.co.uk/?gclid=COOdv_fdrq8CFYsntAodgVzjmQ chocolate, drinks, sauces, cake mix, etc
http://www.veganstore.co.uk/ vegan eggs, groceries etc
http://www.honest-to-goodness.org.uk/ food, vitamins, chocolate, cookies/biscuits, bread etc

I just tried switching from a pesco-vegetarian diet to becoming a vegetarian and your blog has been helping me a lot. I even tried reading your first few posts. You’re truly an inspiration on living a healthier life. :)
Thank you Paula! Goodluck with all your changes :)

Keep it up! :)
This is great, I can’t wait to check out more of these sites!!
Whata wonderful list. My friend is Vegan, yet she doesn’t know where to shop, I’m going to pass this information to her. Thank you for sharing!
Great post, Angela! One that I’ll definitely be saving – thanks!

USA – I have been ordering tons of great products from www.nutsonline.com
AWESOME company!
Thanks for sharing this list. There aren’t many options for vegan food/shopping in Vegas.
In Canada another great website to find vegan products is www.well.ca
They have a pretty big selection of food items, as well as vegan beauty products etc. They do have some things marked as ‘Vegan’ but I’ve notices that not everything that is vegan is marked as such. Best of all, they always have free shipping!
I’ve ordered from them multiple times & I haven’t had any problems yet.
yay I can’t wait to try them!
A couple others I like are:
www.polkadotbox.com
www.abesmarket.com
honest-to-goodness.org.uk is also a great UK one – I believe they do free shipping for orders over £40, and they have an awesome 100% vegan store in the Wirral, Merseyside with all sorts of vegan food, toiletries, cleaning products, etc. Also one of the only places in the UK you can get vital wheat gluten.
I posted before about http://www.realfoods.co.uk/, but just wanted to add they sell vital wheat gluten as well, took me ages to find a supplier that does!

In Australia, Perth to be specific, we have a fabulous store called “Loose Produce” they have so many bins of beans, flours, grains you name it! You take your own containers or use the supplied bags and just fill ’em up! They also do some wonderful gluten free cakes that you can enjoy whilt reading magazines. And they do cooking classes.
Did anyone mention Matt and Nat (vegan handbags that rock!)? Thanks for the list!! :-)
I dont think do! Do you have a link?
Thank you so much for the list! Such a wonderful resource! You are amazing!
Wow, a huge thanks for including Germany! I’ve been dying to try a few of your recipes (especially the Dark Chocolate Cherry Energy Bites and Mini Peanut Butter Cups in a Jar) but it’s not always easy to find ingredients over here
http://www.organicsproutedflour.net/ is a great resource for organic sprouted flours, not sure if they are certified gf but they have millet, buckwheat, amaranth and other hard to find flours that are great alkaline grains, plus they are sprouted!
Sequel e store has the Vega products, vegan protein etc.
And I’m sure you have Trader Joes and Whole Foods somewhere on that store front list for later!
Fred Meyer here in the Seattle area is another great store they have a large natural food department.
What a great list. There are a couple of others in the UK- ethicalsuperstore.com/ naturalcollection.com (I think they are the same company), and creamsupplies.co.uk (they do kale chips but lots of other things too).
And I love i-herb- their shipping is pretty good value, and at the moment the “offer code” (once you shop with them you get a referral code for others to use- mine is QOC914) is worth $10 off if you spend $40, which is a pretty good deal (or I think $5 off anything under that)-so the shipping is free with the codes anyway.
add ons for Germany:
www.alles-vegetarisch.de
www.vegan-wonderland.de
www.radixversand.de
www.smilefood.de
To get $5.00 off your first order at iHerb.com, enter coupon code: ENA405. I love that site!
Hi there, thanks for adding New Zealand! An amazing online store is www.littlebirdorganics.co.nz their products are incredible.
