I had my first One Lucky Duck experience in NYC after hearing so many good things about it over the past few years. One Lucky Duck was founded in 2005 by Sarma Melngailis, the co-creator of the Manhattan raw food restaurant, Pure Food and Wine. Sarma started One Lucky Duck to help bring the raw, vegan and organic lifestyle out of the underground and into the mainstream.
At One Lucky Duck, you can find all kinds of amazing raw vegan snacks from raw macaroons to chocolate chip cookies, handmade in small batches in the kitchen at NYC’s raw vegan restaurant, Pure Food and Wine.
We visited the Chelsea Market location and I was so excited to step inside this cafe!
We did all kinds of NYC sightseeing on this day of our travels, so the market was a nice change of pace after rushing around all day.
I bashfully asked the server if I could snap a picture or two. I don’t know about you other bloggers, but I get shy when I take pictures of food…!
It’s a really cute & cozy cafe. All of their products are on the wall including a fridge for fresh juices and whatnot. I got myself a few goodies (macaroons, raw chocolate, and buckwheat crispies) and a shot of wheatgrass for good measure.
It was hard to choose! I’ve somehow managed to open everything over the past few days and everything tastes incredible. I especially fell in love with the buckwheat cinnamon crispies (below). Maybe I can make these at home too? It’s on my list. ;)

My favourite vegan food is your famous Vegan Overnight Oats :) Va-va-voo!
My favourite vegan foods are green monsters and vegan brownies :)
Amazing giveaway, Angela! Thanks. I’m going to check this place out next time I’m in NYC. For my favourite vegan product, I love Vancouver’s Vega bars. I’m completely hooked on the Vibrancy Bar.
One of my favorite vegan foods is your pumpkin gingerbread loaf with spiced buttercream. It is absolutely amazing. I have already made it a handful of times this season.
Wow, I have really been enjoying your pics of NYC! I haven’t been there in forever, and it’s bringing back a lot of nice memories. :)
Favorite vegan food? So hard to say! I think right now it’s your Butternut Squash Mac n Cheese recipe. SUCH a comfort food. I shared it with my mom and she made it and said that both she and my dad really liked it! (If you knew my dad, you would know what a huge accomplishment it is to get him to eat squash anything!)
i know this sounds too easy but anything with chickpeas! love them! maybe your chickpea and sweet potato salad w/ cinammon…yummo!!

I would have to say kale. Though I am partial to oatmeal with hemp seeds these days. And raspberries and coconut oil.
Wow, great giveaway! My favorite vegan foods are basically all whole food fruits and vegetables, but if I had to pick something in a package, I’d go with dark chocolate or coconut milk ice-cream.
Well my favorite vegan dish to make at home is Moroccan Couscous With Saffron — which comes out of Alicia Silverstone’s “the kind diet” book. It’s so good. But from One Lucky Duck’s restaurant Pure Food & Wine has a really great zuccini lasagna!!
Your vegan chocolate cupcakes!!
Since I am so new at this, I would have to say Almond Milk at this point. So much more to experience!
I absolutely love a big ‘ol whole wheat roll smeared in tahini sauce and hummus and stuffed with warm fresh falafel and crispy lettuce. It makes me feel like I’m eating something really naughty!
I honestly cannot live without my version of your famous vegan green monsters…
1/4 C Unsweetened Almond Milk
1/4 C Water
1/4 C Frozen Pineapples (unsweetened)
1/4 C Frozen Mangos (unsweetened)
1 tsp Stevia
1 Scoop Protein Powder
1/2 tbsp Chia Seeds
And stuff until the top with Spinach
SOO yummy. Especially after a run.
The Mallomars at One Lucky Duck!! Hands down!
I’ve been experimenting with vegan and gluten-free baking and cooking lately, and so far one of my favorite things has been an almond flour crust flat-bread pizza!
Cashews, avocado chocolate pudding, thumbprint cookies, hummus! And so much more…
Either kale chips or popcorn. Anything savory!
My favorite vegan food has to be soups. I love all types of soups (vegan of course), I especially like miso soup. Nutritional yeast is also kind of awesome
Kale Chips with Nutritional Yeast are amazing, any kind of Cashew sauce, and of course Green Monsters!
