I had my first One Lucky Duck experience in NYC after hearing so many good things about it over the past few years. One Lucky Duck was founded in 2005 by Sarma Melngailis, the co-creator of the Manhattan raw food restaurant, Pure Food and Wine. Sarma started One Lucky Duck to help bring the raw, vegan and organic lifestyle out of the underground and into the mainstream.
At One Lucky Duck, you can find all kinds of amazing raw vegan snacks from raw macaroons to chocolate chip cookies, handmade in small batches in the kitchen at NYC’s raw vegan restaurant, Pure Food and Wine.
We visited the Chelsea Market location and I was so excited to step inside this cafe!

We did all kinds of NYC sightseeing on this day of our travels, so the market was a nice change of pace after rushing around all day.
I bashfully asked the server if I could snap a picture or two. I don’t know about you other bloggers, but I get shy when I take pictures of food…!
It’s a really cute & cozy cafe. All of their products are on the wall including a fridge for fresh juices and whatnot. I got myself a few goodies (macaroons, raw chocolate, and buckwheat crispies) and a shot of wheatgrass for good measure.
It was hard to choose! I’ve somehow managed to open everything over the past few days and everything tastes incredible. I especially fell in love with the buckwheat cinnamon crispies (below). Maybe I can make these at home too? It’s on my list. ;)

This contest is open to anyone, anywhere in the world.

My favorite vegan food is a must-have in my fridge at all times- unsweetened vanilla almond milk! Love that stuff!
My absolute fav vegan is spiced lentil sweet potato patties filled with spinach and mushroom. Yummo!
My favorite vegan discovery would have to be Nutritional Yeast! Before discovering this I thought being vegan would mean missing out on all those creamy cheese sauces and Macaroni Cheese! Boy was I wrong. Your butternut squash mac N cheese is beyond gorgeous, better than Mac N Cheese made with real cheese.
Coconut milk :)
I think my favorite vegan food is chickpeas.
Kale chips all the way! You’re probably not surprised by that statement. ;-)
Definetly the thanksgiving “pull apart dinner rolls” AND the “baked eggplant with cheeze sauce” :)
my absolute favorite vegan food is actually the very first recipe I tried from Oh She Glows website…and I think it’ll always be my favorite… the Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Glazed Doughnuts. AMAZING!
Hands down- Nutritional yeast!. I have it every night on air popped popcorn, with soy free Earth Balance and Herbamare.
My favourite vegan food is a tie between chick peas and almond butter.
Flavored nuts are my fav vegan food. It’s my lucky (no pun intended) day. I just came back from spending Thanksgiving in NYC, and One Lucky Duck was on my list to go to, but it was vetoed by my family because it was too far from where we stayed.
When it comes to food I love enoki mushrooms, they’re just so darn good in almost any situation.
I love buckwheat granola!
I love love love flavoured nut butters as my vegan snack :) Homemade or bought, s’all good :)
Favorite vegan food? Its a close tie between black bean soup and your butternut squash mac-n-cheese. However, I’m actually making your cinnamon sugar pumpkin spice donuts as I write this … they small amazingly wonderful and have potential for becoming a new favorite!
My favorite…probably nooch, but there are so many!
Kale chips! We’re making them all the time these days! (Oh, what a giveaway! SWOON!)
My favorite vegan food is a Quorn roast and OSG’s vegan gravy! Such comfort food!
Definitely your peppermint patty green monster. It’s replaced my usual nightly mint chocolate chip ice cream!!
I have to say hummus is my favorite vegan food! :D
