I had my first One Lucky Duck experience in NYC after hearing so many good things about it over the past few years. One Lucky Duck was founded in 2005 by Sarma Melngailis, the co-creator of the Manhattan raw food restaurant, Pure Food and Wine. Sarma started One Lucky Duck to help bring the raw, vegan and organic lifestyle out of the underground and into the mainstream.
At One Lucky Duck, you can find all kinds of amazing raw vegan snacks from raw macaroons to chocolate chip cookies, handmade in small batches in the kitchen at NYC’s raw vegan restaurant, Pure Food and Wine.
We visited the Chelsea Market location and I was so excited to step inside this cafe!

We did all kinds of NYC sightseeing on this day of our travels, so the market was a nice change of pace after rushing around all day.
I bashfully asked the server if I could snap a picture or two. I don’t know about you other bloggers, but I get shy when I take pictures of food…!
It’s a really cute & cozy cafe. All of their products are on the wall including a fridge for fresh juices and whatnot. I got myself a few goodies (macaroons, raw chocolate, and buckwheat crispies) and a shot of wheatgrass for good measure.
It was hard to choose! I’ve somehow managed to open everything over the past few days and everything tastes incredible. I especially fell in love with the buckwheat cinnamon crispies (below). Maybe I can make these at home too? It’s on my list. ;)

ooo favourite vegan food, tough question! I think I’d have to say raw bliss balls with cashews, cacao, chia seeds, tahini and dates…simply delicious.
I love slow-roasting tomatoes in the oven, sprinkling them with some S&P, and then eating them as snacks. So juicy and yummy! Oh, and thanks for a totally awesome giveaway! :)
My favorite vegan food? Hummus!
Vegan dark chocolate (and macaroons a close second!)!
my favorite vegan food (or food in general) is mac and cheese with a cashew/nutritional yeast sauce. kale chips are a close second
Ooooo! Yay! My favorite vegan food has got to be hummus…hands down. Mmmmm.
Peanut butter. I’m so glad it’s vegan!
So hard to choose just one favorite vegan food! I would have to say that mine is green monsters…lots of possibilities, and so nutritious! Right now, butternut squash is coming in a close second, roasted and put in pretty much everything…soup, burritos, mac and cheeze (love your recipes!), and on and on……..
Just ONE food? Impossible! But, if I have to pick I’d probably choose to live on pesto and pasta the rest of my life.
So nice to give the package away!
One Lucky Duck sounds awesome! One of my favorite foods right now is greens of any sort, can’t get enough.
Favorite vegan food is fruit :)
I would have to say any vegan chocolate chip cookie would be my favorite…or a vegan chocolate cupcake from my local market :)…or maybe the vegan brownie…I can’t decide!!
Favorite vegan food: channa masala!
I am addicted to Tasty Kale check it out! www.tastykale.com
My favorite vegan food is the Vegan Tortilla Soup that you blogged about. I’ve probably made this recipe a dozen times! It’s seriously that good!
I still have the taste of a vegan sugar cookie in my mouth that I just made and ate 10 minutes ago, so right now that is my favourite vegan food. But normally, I would say VOO. Serving me breakfast for 2.5 years and going strong!
vegan goodies are always delicious but you can never go wrong with vegan chocolate chips cookies and hummus, two of my faves :D (not together of course haha :)
Hello Angela all the way from Australia! I love your blog and all of your recipes! And I am sooo excited to be finally entering a worldwide open competition!
My favourite vegan food would have to be energy balls. They are like my sweet (or sometimes savoury) treat! I just love the Cookie Dough Energy Balls that were posted on your site by Avery from Love Yoga and Veggies a while back.
Have a great trip!
Right now it’s spaghetti squash with pesto. YUM!
vegan dark chocolate, for sure ;D
