Ellie Eternity Scarf Holiday Giveaway!

December 16, 2011

il_fullxfull.292232897

Last Sunday, I wrote a post on 22 gifts ideas for her under $55. It was a fun post to put together filled with kitchen, clothing, food, and other gift items!

(Side note: Word in the comment section has it that you can buy vanilla beans at Costco for cheap! Hopefully that’s in Canada too?)

One of the items on my list is this gorgeous Ellie Eternity Scarf made by the fabulous Lisa Marie from Bearded Owl’s Hoots on Etsy. I fell in love with this scarf, and Lisa’s other products, as soon as I saw them.

Such as the Philomena Snood and Critter Mitt Warmers…I could seriously use those for typing at the computer!

and the Chunky Pom Pom knit:

After I wrote that post, Lisa Marie wrote me and offered to send me a scarf as a thank you! I thanked her for her generosity, but asked if we could do a blog giveaway for the scarf instead. It’s more fun for me to share the holiday spirit with you guys! Lisa was excited for a giveaway on the blog so here we are.

Lisa Marie writes…

Hoo-T!

The Ellie Eternity Scarf is designed to be extra cozy and snuggly. It measures over 7 ft long in circumference, leaving plenty of room for you to wrap and scrunch as little or as much as you want!

Made in the softest 100% Acrylic blend.
One size fits most.
Available in most colors.

Note: Lisa Marie can make her products completely wool free if desired.

Can’t you just imagine wrapping yourself up in this huge scarf and not taking it off until May?

The winner gets to select the colour too, which is always a tough decision….especially when most of the colours are names of yummy foods…

I’ll have oatmeal with a side of pumpkin spiced figs please.

To Enter: (the contest is now closed)

Leave a comment below telling me two things: 1) your favourite holiday cookie and 2) your fav scarf colour.

These are things I need to know. :)

The contest is open to anyone worldwide and I will pick the random winner late Sunday night.

Goodluck, stay warm, and a big thanks to Lisa Marie!

Update: The winner of the giveaway is Abbey L! Congrats!

I love ginger molasses cookies! Extra yummy with vanilla almond milk! I love the scarf, all the colours are so pretty but my favorite would probably be fig.

Hmm….favorite holiday cookie? I would have to go with spritz cookies, from a cookie press. I will actually be veganizing the recipe and making them on thursday. I have childhood memories of helping my mom decorate them with sprinkles before baking them. And then my brother, sister and I would sneak cookies for days after she made them!!! So yummy!!!

I seem to have an attratction to purple scarves. Which match great with my gray Michael Kors coat that I scored for cheap last year at Burlington Coat Factory.

Thanks again for all the fab recipes you keep giving us :)

My favorite holiday cookie (though it’s really hard to pick just one) is the snowball cookie–chocolate ball with powdered sugar on the outside? Delicious….My favorite color for that scarf is definitely fig, it’s beautiful!

Favorite cookie? That’s like choosing a favorite child! But I would have to say probably frosted sugar cookie cut outs. Mmm
I am a pretty basic person so my favorite scarf is white. But I have a ton of scarves, in every color. Best accessory ever

Scarf color would be cranberry – so pretty!

I made your ‘chilled double chocolate taste’ today, absolutely amazing! Gonna make it for x-mas as a dessert with home made vegan vanilla ice cream :)

I like monster cookies…they have oatmeal, m&ms, chocolate chips…basically all of the good things wrapped into one cookie! It’s so hard to choose just one color, but I like the marigold one because it’s bright and fun!

My family is Italian, so my favorite holiday cookie is the Pizzelle…such a light and refreshing dessert. And my favorite scarf color is the hazelnut, or the navy, or the cranberry. Gah, I love them all..okay, navy, final answer!

Hi Angela! I have a shop on etsy as well, and it is so great to see you promote someone from there on your blog…etsy is full of amazing artists, and the more people who know, the better. My favorite holiday cookies are a hungarian cookie called kiflis; out recipe is actually a family recipe that has been handed down. When I was younger, I would help my grandmother make them each year, and each year she would teach me a different part of the process in making them. They can be filled with a variey of things, but we usually use an apricot or walnut filling and occasionally lekvar. Unfortunately their not vegan friendly and I’m not sure they could be made vegan friendly as they have crm cheese, sour cream, eggs and shortening in them. My favorite colors are blue and red. Have a great holiday!!!

The fig color scarf is beautiful! I love the names, so appropriate :)

Oooh the scarf looks wonderful!

My favourite holiday cookie is the peparkakor cookie – last year I made them for the first time and they were an absolute disaster, but this year we can’t get enough of them!

I would definitely go for the fig scarf – that colour is one of my favourites, and I happen to looove figs :-)
