Ellie Eternity Scarf Holiday Giveaway!

December 16, 2011

il_fullxfull.292232897

Last Sunday, I wrote a post on 22 gifts ideas for her under $55. It was a fun post to put together filled with kitchen, clothing, food, and other gift items!

(Side note: Word in the comment section has it that you can buy vanilla beans at Costco for cheap! Hopefully that’s in Canada too?)

One of the items on my list is this gorgeous Ellie Eternity Scarf made by the fabulous Lisa Marie from Bearded Owl’s Hoots on Etsy. I fell in love with this scarf, and Lisa’s other products, as soon as I saw them.

Such as the Philomena Snood and Critter Mitt Warmers…I could seriously use those for typing at the computer!

and the Chunky Pom Pom knit:

After I wrote that post, Lisa Marie wrote me and offered to send me a scarf as a thank you! I thanked her for her generosity, but asked if we could do a blog giveaway for the scarf instead. It’s more fun for me to share the holiday spirit with you guys! Lisa was excited for a giveaway on the blog so here we are.

Lisa Marie writes…

Hoo-T!

The Ellie Eternity Scarf is designed to be extra cozy and snuggly. It measures over 7 ft long in circumference, leaving plenty of room for you to wrap and scrunch as little or as much as you want!

Made in the softest 100% Acrylic blend.
One size fits most.
Available in most colors.

Note: Lisa Marie can make her products completely wool free if desired.

Can’t you just imagine wrapping yourself up in this huge scarf and not taking it off until May?

The winner gets to select the colour too, which is always a tough decision….especially when most of the colours are names of yummy foods…

I’ll have oatmeal with a side of pumpkin spiced figs please.

To Enter: (the contest is now closed)

Leave a comment below telling me two things: 1) your favourite holiday cookie and 2) your fav scarf colour.

These are things I need to know. :)

The contest is open to anyone worldwide and I will pick the random winner late Sunday night.

Goodluck, stay warm, and a big thanks to Lisa Marie!

Update: The winner of the giveaway is Abbey L! Congrats!

What an awesome give away! :)

My favorite holiday cookies are the ones my grandmothers make–krumkake and peppernuts. Sadly, I’ve never tried to recreate them! Maybe this year..

And scarf? maybe cranberry…or Heather greij!

My favorite cookies is definitely my mother’s cinnaomn almond crescent cookies-they’ve been in the family for years!
And secondly, I love ‘Spice’ best. Why not pick one that would pull the color out of the most pieces of clothing? That way one could wrap it around their neck even more!

My favorite Christmas Cookies are molasses cookies. I had them for the first time after I met My Mother in law. She made so many cookies. I fell in love with her Molasses cookies. My father in law used to hide them for me since she usually only made 1 batch of ech of her cookies. He alway had a cookie for me when I would visit. I would have to say my favorite color is the Pumpkin

1) Gingerbread or EGGNOGG bicotti with coffee! Or puppy chow… I know that’s not a cookie… but still.

2) I love the charcoal! It’s pretty and would match almost everything I own. :)

My favorite holiday cookie is called a Turtle Cookie. My Grandmother made them for my family every year as a child, now that she is no longer with us I make them and send them to family members around the country. I love to get their calls when their cookie package arrives. My favorite scarf color is the owl grey. Very versatile:)

I can’t resist vegan gingerbread cookies during the holidays. Spice and sweetness are the perfect combination in an ooey-gooey cookie. I love the fig scarf color. It’s fun, flirty, and classy all at the same time!

Every year since I was little my mom has made a MASSIVE batch of gingersnaps to give away as gifts to people in my dad’s office and our neighbors. I always loved them warm and chewy with the sugary coating fresh out of the oven, it doesnt get much better than that… oh and how the whole house smelled of molasses!! It always said Christmas to me.

Oh and I love that spice color!!

I love Russian Tea Cakes (also known as Mexican Wedding Cookies). I make a yummy raw vegan version.

Those colors are so pretty and the names are quite yummy. I guess I’d say fig, as it is my favorite fruit.

Cookie: hard to pick just one, but probably snickerdoodles or gingersnaps. (I’ll be making your ginger cookies this year instead of the usual shortening version I have used in years past. Gross!)

My favorite color of the scarf (which is beautiful) is cranberry or barelij (I think that’s what it says)

BTW: I brought your vegan tortilla soup to work for a potluck today and it was a big hit!
