Good morning!
Well, this morning’s weather called for a very tropical drink! I looked outside and decided that I was going to ignore the snow I saw falling from the sky and instead make a tropical drink that reminded me of our trip to Mexico in 2007.
The Contents of my tropical smoothie:
- 1 kiwi
- heaping 1/3 cup of frozen strawberries
- handful baby organic spinach
- 2 organic kale leaves
- 1 Tbsp flax
- 1 cup low-fat Soy Milk
I didn’t have my beloved banana today because the grocery store was OUT of bananas yesterday!!!! How could they be OUT of bananas!? The producte guy said that since it was a holiday on Monday everyone cleaned out the bananas on Tuesday…lol. I guess they are a happy food! Word is out. :D

Luckily it is supposed to rain this afternoon, so I hope that it melts the rest of the snow!

PS todays smoothie I think has made me change my thoughts towards the green mosnters seeing them everyday really makes me want to try one! I’m giong to attempt making one and let you know :)

I’m getting kale this week, and I am going to try a version of your smoothie. I’m a little scared it’ll taste like greens, but it looks like you don’t put in that much and that may make the difference.
I know it’s easy for me to say this, living in sunny CA, but the view from your window is gorgeous. I love the way snow looks on trees.

Yep, definitely prefer the tropical view! I’m currently looking at a Mexico trip as well, we’ll see what happens though! (Flying out of Vancouver is so much more expensive than Toronto!).
I think I might be the crazy one of the bunch! I’m really enjoying winter right now! skating, skiing – you can’t beat it! I go through phases though! Sometimes I love winter and sometimes I hate it!
I think that if you live in Canada you have to get involved in a few winter sports to make the season enjoyable! Winter is far tooooo loooong to be miserable the entire time!
I thin I might try snowshoes next! I hear it is a great workout!
