A Lululemon Inspired Halloween

by Angela (Oh She Glows) on November 1, 2009

What do 3 Lululemon obsessed fans decide to be for Halloween?

Why yoga instructors of course!

Left to right: Hatha Guru Legs (Alex from HGL), Omm Spiritual Goddess (moi- OSG), and Bending It Backwards (Krissy from BIB). We ooze with creativity don’t we? haha.

Now this was some relaxing yoga. PS- I snagged this super cute green biodegradable yoga mat from Lululemon this week. I’m in LOVE with it.

They were definitely the comfiest costumes ever! I could live in Lululemon clothes all day. (Eric just said, ‘You do.’) I guess he’s right…

Naturally, Eric went as a YOGI MASTA! Doesn’t he look over-joyed? He showed us his moves.

I totally prefer him beardless though… ;)

And Frank, Krissy’s husband, went as Fred Flintstone (haha!)

Krissy and Alex are so much fun. It was so fun to finally have some friends to talk about blog stuff with!!!! We basically sat by the fireplace all night and gabbed away.

I was quite pleased with how the Halloween decorations turned out! We decorated our whole place for just 30 bones.

Candles are a really cheap way to add some pizzazz and warmth!

The food was just lovely too.

Kashi crackers, salsa, and nacho chips:

Krissy brought along some amazing vegan goodies, including this vegan pumpkin dip! [By the way, HAPPY WORLD VEGAN DAY!!] It was awesome. Recipe coming soon…

With mini pita pockets…

And her drool-worthy macaroons and Super Charge Me Cookies a la Dreena.

We had some good tasting drinks…\

Apparently we were also Charlie’s Angels. Luckily, I had practice with this photoshoot before….

And some not so good tasting drinks…

Sketchie was definitely the star of the night. We showed him off and he did his tricks for everyone treats.

IMG_5841 IMG_5785 IMG_5793 IMG_5861

Unfortunately, one of our pumpkins got kicked in! :(

I shed a few tears…

And then I educated everyone on my Hangover Prevention Kit (HPK):

Just 8 easy installments of $99.99!

We finally crashed around 4:30am!!!! Make that 3:30am, but we forgot to change the clocks back.

I woke up around 8:30am, did a healthy shot of wheatgrass and went back to bed until 11am.

It is now 12:30 and Eric is still in bed. I think I should go wake the sleeping beauty! At least someone is holding down the fort around here…lol.

Today is catch up day. I need to take control of my inbox and tasks that I have had to put off. Hopefully the lack of sleep doesn’t get to me!

I hope you all had a wonderful and safe Halloween!!!!! Can you guys believe it is November 1st??? Oh my GOSH, where has the year gone!???

Don’t forget to enter my Oh She Glows 1 year birthday giveaway! There is also a contest going on on Krissy’s blog- she is giving away a box of my Glo bars! All you have to do is leave a comment to enter. Simple as pie.

Now I’m REALLY curious- What was the strangest or funniest Halloween costume you saw yesterday?

Leah @ Simply fabulous November 1, 2009 at 2:27 pm

Love all the pics!! It looks like you guys had so much fun! I agree, comfiest costumes ever!

Susan November 1, 2009 at 2:34 pm

Too cute! And actually a really good idea to choose comfy costumes. Although, I have yet to go to a yoga class that incorporates wine into the poses ;)

Diana November 1, 2009 at 2:35 pm

Looks like you had a good time! :)
And Sketchie’s so cute, aw.

OSGMOM November 1, 2009 at 2:36 pm

The costume that I thought rocked the night was a table of “Fifty somethings” all dressed as the Blue Brothers. Hmmm, not sure your readers will be familiar with that group out of Chicago. They were the hit of the night. Loved your Yoga theme or aka “The Charlie’s Angels”.

krissy November 1, 2009 at 2:39 pm

Love the pics! Love You! Thank you for being a Wonderful host!!! xoxo

Mellissa November 1, 2009 at 2:40 pm

You guys look so cute and I love the bearded yogi ;)

Mama Pea November 1, 2009 at 2:45 pm

The Fred Flintstone doing yoga is priceless. Our friend went as the OxyClean guy. It was seriously creepy.

Heather @ Health, Happiness, and Hope November 1, 2009 at 2:49 pm

OMG, I LOVE your costumes!!! What a cute idea. Haha, and Eric looks adorable as a master yogi… definitely a new career path to consider. ;)

Glad you had such a fun evening!

OSGMOM November 1, 2009 at 2:50 pm

Ange, I forgot to mention that I picked up some vanilla bean for you from a plantation on Huahine. This plantation supplies the White House and Maxime’s — so I’m expecting it is of the highest quaility.

Ange, I forgot to mention that I picked up some vanilla bean for you from a plantation on Huahine. This plantation supplies the White House and Maxime’s — so I’m expecting it is of the highest quaility. Also, our guide yesterday was very knowledgeable about naturopathic medicines. Lots to share with you.

VeggieGirl November 1, 2009 at 2:56 pm

Haha love it :-D

GOod luck with your catch up day!!

Jessica @ How Sweet It Is November 1, 2009 at 2:56 pm

What a great and comfy costume. I love your house!

Chloe (Naturally Frugal) November 1, 2009 at 3:11 pm

Love the yoga costume – what an easy way to use what you have for a creative costume!
I also have that mat – in a teal color and I love it, it’s so much better than using the community mats at my gym and I can practice at home. Happy November 1st!

Maria November 1, 2009 at 3:16 pm

I saw two fellows on the TTC as Bananas in Pyjamas (really well-done costumes) with, well, their “bananas” hanging out of the pants. It was cheeky and fun and they attracted a laughing crowd with their getups.

PS: Happy World Vegan Day! :D

Valerie November 1, 2009 at 3:22 pm

Looks like you all had a fun time! Those costumes sure would be comfortable!

As for weird costumes: I know a guy who went as Billy Mays (the Oxyclean infomercial guy). He looked so much like him it was almost scary!

Katie November 1, 2009 at 3:32 pm

I love the costume ;) looks like my kind of partay. Honestly I didn’t go out so I have only seen what is on the blogs. I loved Frayed Laces, Chic Runner and Toni!

Lele November 1, 2009 at 3:44 pm

My favorite costumes I saw yesterday were a guy dressed as the White album (just all in white with the track listing written on his back) and a girl dressed as swine flu (in pink, with H1N1 written on her shirt!)

Sana November 1, 2009 at 4:10 pm

wow sooo comfy!!! looks amazinggg!

Leah November 1, 2009 at 4:24 pm

My favorite costume of the night way my boyfriends. We had planned on just staying in, so his last minute costume was a pair of my jeans, one of my tshirts, my purple cowboy hat, and my flip flops and he called himself Kenny Chesney. I was a little disturbed by the fact that his butt looked better in my jeans than mine does!!

Kasey (Fit For Wellness) November 1, 2009 at 4:35 pm

Omg… That first pic is so cute! I love the drinks at the top of y’all mats:)

Autumn Tao November 1, 2009 at 4:37 pm

One of the custodial staff members at the high school I teach at was a sumo wrestler. It was a light-weight plastic outfit with a hole in the back to pump it with air. It was fantastic.

One Healthy Apple November 1, 2009 at 4:53 pm

That is such a cute idea! The most fabulous costume was our friend’s iteration of Bruno..overalls, boots, and everything. It was priceless!

VegFigureSk8er November 1, 2009 at 5:30 pm

love the costumes! looks like a lot of fun! :)

Paige @ Running Around Normal November 1, 2009 at 6:48 pm

You ladies looked beautiful and it sounds like you had so much fun!! Love the yoga instructors/turned Charlie’s Angels bahaha:)

Jolene (www.everydayfoodie.ca) November 1, 2009 at 7:02 pm

One of my friends went as the guy from the Nightmare Before Christmas, and it was a really well made costume.

Looks like you had a really fun night!!! I slept in too – until like 4 :-)

Jenny November 1, 2009 at 7:24 pm

absolutely brilliant! :)

I’ve been considering buying myself a new mat — do you recommend the lululemon (I’m pretty sure this is a silly question considering you are the lululemon queen).. how much did it cost you (if you don’t mind me asking of course!)

Thanks Angela!

simpledaisy November 1, 2009 at 7:34 pm

Looks like a fabulous time!! I love that you combined yoga with a little vino! Have a great week~

Diane November 1, 2009 at 8:28 pm

I love the decorations- this looked like so much fun! You’re making me want to buy everything Lululemon, haha

Emily November 1, 2009 at 8:30 pm

A running book suggestion for when you finish “First Encounters”

The Runner’s Rule Book by Mark Remy

Nicole of Raspberry Stethoscope November 1, 2009 at 8:32 pm

Love that you went as a yoga instructor!! I dressed up as the “critical care nurse who needs to go to bed early to work on Sunday.” yes, very creative. ps: what kind of wheatgrass do you buy?

Brandi C. November 1, 2009 at 9:18 pm

Look at the Good Time you had!…Positive Energy is so attractive!

*Andrea* November 1, 2009 at 9:32 pm

i finally entered a lulemon store because of you!! i love all your workout clothes and bright colors, especially the turquoise blue on you – looks sooo good! the cookies and mini pitas look delishhhh. the weirdest costume i saw was the kate gosselin one.. mostly i just saw slutty cotumes (the nurse, the cop, etc) i liked jim on the office’s “facebook” lol

Tracey @ TropicalHappiness November 1, 2009 at 9:40 pm

I LOVE the yoga instructor idea – so much fun!

Morgan @ Life After Bagels November 1, 2009 at 11:02 pm

Angela I heart your costumes and how awesome your place looks on 3o bucks! I spent my whole week making my halloween costume and by the time saturday hit, I was so tired, I started fading around midnight!

Chelsea @ (Chelsea's Chew and Run Fun) November 1, 2009 at 11:10 pm

That vegan dip sounds delicious.

As for the funniest costumes, it’s a cross between “Grandma, who was followed by Obama’s Death Squad (it took three people to make it whole)” and “Marge Simpson as a Playboy Bunny.”

Carrie November 1, 2009 at 11:49 pm

Wow, does Sketchie really shake? That’s so cool!

Shannon November 2, 2009 at 7:30 am

We had a similarly laid back Halloween with friends. Such fun! (Although we headed to bed well before 4:30! We’re old!)

Kris | Iheartwellness.com November 2, 2009 at 1:02 pm
