Dinner tonight was another awesome spelt wrap! I think this was my favourite wrap combo yet!! I think Eric was getting annoyed because I kept repeating how good it was. LOL
![]()
Contents:
- Homemade Organic Spelt Wrap
- Sweet potato (leftovers from the perogies)
- 1/2 avocado
- 1.5 red pepper, sauteed
- 1 slice Tofurkey
- 1/2 Tbsp. Kraft Light Balsamic Vinagrette
- Black pepper
![]()
The combo of sweet pepper and avocado was OUT OF THIS WORLD good. I’ve never had them together before and I will certainly be pairing this awesome duo again!
A sweet dessert:
I was still quite hungry after dinner so I had 3/4 cup of Spelt cereal, a banana, and soy milk. I also had one of my delicious Glo Banana Bars:

So so so good!!! Better than the Banana Bread Larabar in my opinion. :D
Afternoon snacks included:
- handful raw almonds
- 1.5 servings of Amy Organic Crackers
- 1/2 Larabar (the other hald from this morning)

If you can believe it I am STILL working on the office! I have so much left to do.

Have a great night everyone! Can’t wait to read your contest comments! :)
How fun! your blog helps me focus on not relying on only calories, but instead helping me focus on nutritious foods!
I love seeing your healthy meals and positive attitude!
I also love Jillian! I hope I win this. :)
Due to your fantastic website, I have recently begun making my own tortillas AND green monsters (what a great way to get in some extra veggies everyday!)
Oh She Glows has become my favorite blog because of the wonderful, uplifting environment and the motivation I get from observing your healthy lifestyle and drive for success in achieving your dreams! I love what you have done, and you are changing lives in a positive way daily :o)
I love how your blog is not JUST about food or JUST about exercise…you incorporate fun, girly, celebrity topics, too. I love food and exercise, but it’s nice to think about other things. :-) I also love how optimistic and upbeat you are! Even in reading about how you haven’t been able to work out due to your injury (I’ve been there!) you still come through as cheerful and positive. :-)
Well I have to say that I have been a reader (lurker!) for a while now! I love that it is not only about healthy eating and exercise, but other daily “life” things! You always add a pep to my steps throughout the day! :)
PS I already have Jillian’s 30 Day Shred…but if I won I am going to give it to my sister! :)
I love how you take pricier food items that are major yum (like Larabars and spelt wraps) and figure out how to make them yourself. It’s helpful for someone like me who is not very creative to be able to recreate the stuff myself and not have to pay $2 a bar or $1 per tortilla. So I guess I’d say that’s how this blog has helped me.
And oh how I hope I can get this DVD! I’ve been wanting it so bad!!!
I need some shredding that’s for sure. I love that you aren’t afraid of the meat substitutes. Some people chalk them up to gross without even trying them.
You inspire me to eat better and exercise! I want to be healthy so I can get pregnant. :)
I’ve only *just* discovered your blog, so it wouldn’t be entirely truthful if I said it had impacted my life already! But I’ve been in the mood to start getting more physically active, and I think I’ll find lots of inspiration to do so from here. :)
I love reading OSG because Angela does a great job of mixing legit health and fitness info with other “fun” info – i.e. food (always healthy, though!), fashion, personal fun/inspiring stories…
I also just really appreciates how often it’s updated! I love having something new to read everyday. Seriously, when I’m feeling like not working out, or caving in and having a big bowl of ice cream for dessert, I often check the site, which redirects me to what I’m really going for: a healthy, happy, well balanced life. I am inspired and motivated by Angela, and sincerely appreciate the community that this blog has created. (It’s so much easier to stick to a healthy lifestyle when you know there are other people sticking to it as well!) ;-) Julie
I’ve linked back to your post for another entry! hehe! :)
Here it is!

Oooh, I’ve heard good things about this DVD.
I think you’ve just inspired me to try and do more with my own blog, since you have so many aspirations for your own. And that fact that you are also located in Canada, means that when you show products you are using, chances are I can find them here as well.
I shall be linking to the post once the next time I post on my own blog :)
PS – the wrap combo looks pretty interesting.
This is a great giveaway! I’m relatively new to blogs in general and yours was one of the first to get me hooked.
You’ve inspired me to become a runner — and like it — and encouraged me to be really inventive with healthy, organic foods. So even if I don’t get the DVD, THANKS!
Your blog is so inspiring because you have such a great attitude! I’m really looking forward to seeing how you grow your new business too. :)
Great giveaway!!!
One word Low-Fat Baked Banana Doughnuts. Well it’s not technically one word, but you all get the jist.
Fabulous giveaway!!
I adore your blog…I stumbled on it through some other foodie blogs, and I am just struck by how refreshingly honest and real you seem….you are very comfortable with your body and life and seem very genuine in helping others do so and not worry about every little calorie or fat gram. WONDERFUL!!
I have started a healthy eating regimine to take away the freshman 15 I gained last semester! You;ve made me start making home cook meals–away from home!!!
I’d love to “Shred It” with Jillian! :)
I love your blog for all the good eating ideas. I come here to get inspired!
And here is my link back to the contest: http://letsgetserioussisters.blogspot.com/2009/02/i-want-to-shred-it.html
What a fabulous contest! I enjoy your blog because I think you represent such a well-rounded woman living a real and balanced life! It is easy to relate to you. Thanks for a great contest and your great blog!
What a great contest! I’ve always wanted to try that DVD :) I found your site through Leah!
Your site has impacted me by inspiring me even more to also start a blog, and by making me think about food options in a whole new way! I like that you’ve read Skinny Bitch and incorporate that info as much as possible. I haven’t read the book, but know the info, so do pretty much the same as you.
I love this blog because no matter what I know I will click over here during the day and receive some type of inspiration! Whether it be a new recipe to try, a super quote to add to my favorites, or just your uplifting way with words! Thank you Angela! :)
i love how your blog isn’t just about food and you really open up to everyone about other things important going on in your life. you seem to work so hard at this blog, and it shows! keep it up:) great giveaway!!
Oh how I love Oh She Glows!!!
I love the recipes, the great honest advice, the cute sketchie pictures and the inspiration to live a healthier life!
Since reading I have been inspired to do many things – start my own blog, experiment in my kitchen and start my day with Green Smoothies (my nails thank you!)
This is a great blog! It is obvious that you put much love and passion into it!
Thank You!
Hey Angela!
I love reading your blog, and you certainly have had an influence on me! THe two small ways I’ll share are 1) I won the Lululemon bag giveaway, and have been using the small bag for my lunch everday (Thanks again!) and 2) I made the dijon salmon recipe for Valentine’s day, and it was delicious!
Thanks,
Becky
What has really affected me about your blog is your positive attitude! It can be so easy for me to let little things bother me and the way you are able to put things in perspective is inspiring. I also love the quotes you put up!
I’ve been looking for this DVD!! Oh She Glows definitely provides inspiration to make the effort to keep healthy in my day-to-day life. I am trying to lose the last few pounds and maintenance has always been an issue for me and I love seeing how you’ve maintained your loss. I’m trying to cut out the sugar like you’ve been doing! I also really appreciate your honesty -I had been curious if you’d noticed a difference since your injury, as there are definitely times in my life when exercise gets put on the backburner and that’s when I struggle the most… :)
I’ve tried Jillian’s first workout of this DVD on my On Demand cable. OH MY GOD! It’ll definitely whip you into shape if you follow this! I’d love to have the whole DVD!
I’ve only recently found your blog, but I have been sharing it with everyone. Even with a girl in my office who is making your green monster shakes in the mornings. I love reading about real people who’ve lost weight and kept it off the healthy way – excercise, good whole foods, and moderation. You offer suggestions in a positive and uplifting way. I definitely love your recipes and ideas on how to treat yourself in a healthy manner without depriving it.
I recently just started reading your blog and I can’t stop. Your recipies(banana lara bars :)) are crave worthy and you incorporate enthusiam into your recipies..like your wrap up above..hellow rainbow of love, looks so delicious. Inspires me to incorporate foods in ways that I wouldnt think about, sweet potatoe wrap, kale smoothie. keep up the sweet blog. P.s tornados always seem to come through my kitchen too :D
whats not to love about your blog?
nothing.:]
I love the name of your blog! I love how you post at least everyday, or more! I love how you do include lots of pictures! I love how you provide the how-tos for making what we see on here! I love how you’re always trying new things! etc.etc.
Finally, I love that I found your blog!
keep up the good work!
I found your blog through KERF (I believe), and I love that now I can follow a health-conscious Canadian blog (sooo many of the other good ones are American and it’s nice to see someone on this side of the border). :)
Hi! I would love to win the video! I have been reading OSG for awhile. I would say it has impacted my life by greatly improving my smoothies! I have been making fruit smoothies for a long time for my 2 daughters and I. I started adding greens to them after reading your blog. My girls love them too!! I have a hard time getting them to eat veggies, so it is a great way to make sure they are getting something healthy!!
Thanks!
Oh She Glows has inspired me to make green smoothies every morning. They are a great way to kickstart my day! Your posts on self acceptance have also been really inspiring and encouraging!
that is my favorite workout dvd, so i’m glad you’re exposing other people to it! jillian rocks my socks. (so do stacy and clinton!)
delurking to enter your contest! I like your blog because it’s so multi-faceted. in addition to healthy food, exercise, and general life you touch on helpful tips. I remember what hooked me — your tip of putting the lotion bottle in the shower to warm it up so you don’t have to put cold lotion on your body. genius! :D
I recently started reading your blog, and I’m finding it very inspiring. I’m a young vegan striving for balance and trying to incorporate more raw foods into my diet while eliminating a few processed items that I feel are holding me back from optimal health. I love your recipes (you’ve inspired me to save a lot on my grocery bills by making my own hummus and larabars) and reading about your progress. I also really appreciate your honesty!
Hey there! I’m fairly new to your blog (reading all the way from Israel!), but I’ve gone back and read a lot of the archives. I’ve been having some struggles while trying to turn over a new leaf and live a healthier lifestyle– your blog is really dynamic and you write about a *lot* of different things– it reminds me that ‘being healthy’ isn’t just about food.
So I’m going to give up my “lurker” status to tell you how awesome I think Oh She Glows is! :)
I love that it inspires me to lead a healthy and balanced lifestyle, even when I’m busy! And you always have the most interesting and yummy sounding recipes!
you inspire me to continue on my do it myself path and to continually challenge myself
Oh, I was just looking for this at Sam’s this weekend and could not find it! Keeping my fingers crossed that I win!
I love your reading your blog to get some great new food ideas. I am also excited about your Glo Bakery!
i find this site very modivating and a great resource for recipes and at home money saving tips! your blog has been life changing! i have been eating right and working out more consistently than ever before thanks to you!
I love how you are so open and honest about your life and struggles. Some bloggers do not seem human all of the time, but you prove you can be human and still be so beautiful and healthy, while enjoying a normal life. Thank you
Mel H
Great giveaway! I like to read your blog because of your writing & enthusiasm. And a little Sketchie here and there doesn’t hurt! ;)
I can’t believe I haven’t entered this contest yet!! I read your blog all the time! Well, I have to say it is soo wonderful how positive you are, of course. But beyond that, I really love your zest for life.
One of my biggest passions is traveling & seeing the world (I’m going to live in Madrid for the next year as an au pair!) and I love that you incorporate your passions, like traveling & fashion, into the blog. I think healthy eating/exercising can kind of take over your life and become your only focus when you’re just getting into it or trying to lose weight…and it’s just great to see how you live a healthy life while still enjoying other things and having other interests. Keep it up!!
**I am really sorry about the injury, I know how frustrating it is. But it does truly make you appreciate the fact that you CAN exercise/run/be active when you are well again, that’s for sure!!
This is a great contest! I’d love the DVD! Your blog is a great read; you have a fantastic attitude, especially about working out after an injury. It’s helpful for people to know that you can still work out, just in different ways.
Hmm, since reading foodie/healthy living blogs before I cook something I try and think of how you would add in more healthy items and before I nibble on a snack/treat I think “would I eat this if I had to post it on my blog/be accountable to the WORLD?”
Gets me thinking and putting down junky food!
EASY! You glow from WITHIN. I think you are one of the most incredible bloggers. You’re a beautiful, vibrant, and positive light of Energy that my day, honestly, does not feel complete without! I love you! :)
I really love your recipes – especially the banana bread! I always thought I disliked bananas, but your blog has opened my mind up to all the possibilities!
That looks like a great video! OSG is a great blog and has recently been incorporated into the 3-4 blogs that I follow on a regular basis. For the first time ever, I am almost ready to give veggie smoothies a try.
