May 12, 2009

is no fun!

 IMG_1115

Note: Ceiling paint goes on PINK but dries white. Don’t worry! haha.

Tonight’s challenge: Find a colour for Eric and I to paint our living room!

Living room (Click to enlarge):

Note: We are replacing the carpet with walnut hardwood flooring. We will also likely paint the crown moulding white.

Any ideas?? :)

Bonus if you send me a link to a picture of a painted room that you think would look great in here!! :) We are really stuck with this room!!!

Back to your regular scheduled programming tomorrow AM. :)

In tomorrow morning’s post I will show you my raw granola bar- Attempt #2! Did they work???

I’m thinking that the wall opposite the window should be a vibrant blue, and the rest, bright white, kind of like this: http://photos.indystar.com/photos/standard/2009/02/220330.jpg

i love that you guys do all this stuff yourselves AND together! painting normally isn’t horribly fun, but at least you have someone to paint with!

Wow, you have tall ceilings! I like a beige colour for walls, but I am a bit boring :)

I agree with Mara! Go with something bright or another contrasting colour on one wall.. how cool would that look!

I have no idea what you want to do with your room color wise, but my living room is Behr Wickerware and I love it, and a few people have painted rooms in their house this color after seeing mine.

How about a sage green color? I have that on two walls in my living room, with white trim, it looks nice and peaceful!

Do you guys blast the music and just have an awesome time painting and jamming? Because that’s what I’d TOTALLY do. Is it a good arm/shoulder workout? Because i bet painting a ceiling would leave my shoulders sore…

Wow I love your house, its got so much character! I think contrasting walls would look great as you have the space to carry it off!
