I am loving warm lunches more and more as the weather gets colder!
I whipped up a ‘5 minute’ stir-fry for lunch:
- 1 zucchini
- 1/2 cup cherry tomatoes
- 3/4 cup chickpeas
- PC Sun-dried tomato seasoning (LBD!)
- red wine vinegar + EVOO
On the side I had a high protein pita by Pita Gourmet smeared with tomato paste (hello, lycopene!!!).
With a Naval orange. The sticker was promptly placed somewhere for Eric to find. ;)
Snack was a Present Glo Bar. Officially my fav. kind. You can quote me on that.
I also rocked the festive Candy Cane Lane Green Tea by Celestial Seasonings. I just couldn’t wait until Dec 1st!!!
So fresh and minty!
I had an awesome workout today:
- 40 min. treadmill hill workout (speed 4.0, incline 10%)
I am always asked if I do the full time at that speed and incline and the answer is yes, unless I note otherwise. It’s tough! I usually do 15% incline, but I have been switching it up a bit lately to work other muscles.
I also rocked out Whittle My Middle.
My abs are feeling SO tight. I honestly am loving this challenge, even though I curse like a trucker when I do it…hahaha. You think I’m joking but I’m not. ;)

Canadian Oral-B Triumph Giveaway!
I was delighted when Oral-B contacted me to review the Oral-B Triumph on Oh She Glows. I have always wanted to try out an electric toothbrush, but I never wanted to commit to one without knowing if it would work. I didn’t want to review it without also being able to give one away, so I was delighted when Oral-B agreed to do a contest giveaway on OSG!
Now you know me, I typically don’t gush over products unless I really love them, but I am absolutely smitten with this electric toothbrush!
The Triumph works so well that I feel like I am walking out of the dentist’s office every time I use it. It removed my plaque after just 2 uses and made my teeth so smooth. It is a great tool for me since I have had to decrease my dental visits when my insurance cut out. I feel like this toothbrush will make the difference between visits.
The timer is brilliant. Absolutely brilliant. I admit, I was guilty for ‘speed brushing’ my teeth. I am often so tired I won’t put the time in, however since using the Triumph, I have brushed my teeth for a full 2 minutes, twice daily. I consider this a miracle because I am lazy. ;)
The timer guides you through each section (30 seconds in each quadrant) and then you are rewarded with a smiley face after 2 minutes. Maybe I am secretly a 7 year old hiding in an adult’s body, but this just makes my day!!
For a chance to win an Oral-B Triumph (suggested retail price $179.99):
- Leave a comment telling me something about your teeth. Do you like the dentist? Do you go at regular intervals? Do you floss? Do you need a tool like this to give you a kick in the butt like me? :)
Rules: Contest open to Canadian residents only. Contest closes Thursday Dec. 3rd at noon EST. Please leave a valid email address.
Goodluck!
Don’t worry US residents, there is an exclusive US contest coming up on OSG this week! Think YOGA!

Hi Angela,
I would love to win the toothbrush. My three pregnancys were extremely hard on my teeth. I lost all of my top teeth after my third pregnancy and because my husband is self employed we never had coverage to get them fixed. When I was 23 I had them removed and a top plate put in. I am terrified of the dentist so I take care of my bottom teeth the best I can.
I am so embarassed about my teeth and none of my friends are aware that I have top dentures. I would be forever grateful to win this amazing prize.
Thank you.
My husband is a dentist and LOVES this toothbrush… he actually gave me one for Valentine’s Day a couple of years ago. Love love love.
He recommends using it with the Crest Pro Health System (Mouthwash and toothpaste), if you want the professional opinion :)
i would actually like to win this for by fiance, who absolutely refuses to go to the dentist and even needs encouragement to brush his teeth twice a day!
I would love to try this toothbrush!! I have never once had a cavity but am starting to worry about my teeth more now that I am a coffee and wine drinker! I think this would help me feel comfortable about my dental health! Great giveaway :)
I love going to the dentist; I can’t recall a time in my life when I feared the gloves, the tools or the really awesome recliner chair. I have been very lucky and have always had very gentle and caring dentists….oh, a regular visits probably prevented dental problems that may have created fear. My current dentist has told me that I have very boring teeth since there really isn’t anything wrong with them except that I appear to take out all my stress while wielding a toothbrush. I will be the first to admit that I am an aggressive brusher….never was an aggressive athlete but put a tooth brush in my hand and its like road rage on my teeth. I am the cause of my only dental flaws…this aggression needs to stop before it causes self-induced gum recession. My dentist actually recommended the Oral B Triumph but I can’t justify the expense on my student budget. I appreciated the review and may actually add it to my Christmas/bday list (my bday falls around christmas so I get a lot of combo gifts).
I wish I was Canadian right about now.
omg awesome giveaway!! i am a flossing addict! twice a day :)
While growning up in England i have to say i was terrified of the dentist. Their policy is if it’s going to take too long to fix just pull it :(
I absolutely love my dentist now :) She absolutely makes me look forward to going to the dentist!
She has been instrumental on getting me to floss properly and how to brush the right way.
An electric toothbrush? I’d love one!!
I’d love a fancy tootbrush! I have flossed every day religiously, ever since i started paying my own dental bills :(
I had an electric toothbrush quite a few years ago and never replaced it when it died. I really should have, I loved it! I would brush my teeth so much more with it. It made my teeth feel smooth and great! I would love to win this giveaway!
I fear the dentist so I don’t go as often as I should. I hate flossing but I do it . I use those kiddy flossers with the character on the handle.
P/s YEY for Canadian only contests. LOL i usually get excited when a contest says open to US and Canada but this is even better .
I can definitely say that I really need a product like this to kick my butt into gear in terms of brushing my teeth! I am so lazy at night time that I often find that I can’t be bothered to spend much time brushing my teeth…not good! I’d LOVE this toothbrush!
I am absolutely petrified of the dentist! Although I have never had a root canal or terrible things like that, I hate it! Maybe a nice tooth brush would keep the dentist away!
Can’t say I love going to the dentist, but I do love smooth, clean, white teeth!
I don’t mind going to the dentist. I am the only person in my immediate family with nice teeth…my mom has had braces, my brother had braces, and my dad has a zillion cavities. Mine have been effortless so far!
I’m not a fan of the dentist and I’ll admit that I didn’t go for a few years, but now I’m back to regular cleanings and check-ups.
After NOT having dental insurance for 3 yrs, visiting the dentist was the FIRST thing I did when I got a “real” job. My teeth appear very white and whatnot when I smile.. I open up, yeah, different story. I have weak teeth and had to have a few pulled leaving some lovely gaps. SOO attractive for a 26 yr old?!! Hope this is not TMI. lol :) I would love a new brush!
Such great timing! An electric toothbrush is on my Christmas list! I never used to take proper care of my teeth until a dentist visit several years ago revealed I had 12 cavities. I kid you not. Anyways, that was just the ticket to get me to brush 2x and floss daily. I wasn’t gifted genetically with good teeth and think an Oral B electric toothbrush will go a long way in maintaining good oral health.
Wow. Awesome. I am not a fan of the dentist even tho I have never had a cavity. I brush too hard so it doesn’t feel the best to have the dentist poking at my gums. :)
I retired my old electric toothbrush last year. I need another!
Fun fact- I have never had a cavity.
