Vida Vegan Conference Ticket Giveaway
As I mentioned a while ago, I’m attending the 2013 Vida Vegan Conference (VVC) in Portland this May. What is the VVC, you might be wondering? Founded by the lovely Janessa, Michele, and Jess it’s 3 days of seminars, talks, food, fun (duh), and exhibitors all with a vegan twist. And of course, we’ll be prowling the vegan-friendly streets of Portland along the way. This will be my first time visiting Portland and as you can expect I am beyond excited. I might pee my pants actually.
When is it? The VVC 2013 will be held on Friday-Sunday, May 24-26, 2013.
Where? Portland Art Museum, 1219 Southwest Park Avenue Portland, OR 97205
Is there a schedule break down for each day? Why I’m so happy you asked. For the complete VVC schedule see here.
Recently, a reader named Grace contacted me explaining that she bought a ticket to this year’s VVC, but is sadly not able to attend anymore. And because of her super generous heart she’s offering the ticket to one lucky reader! Yes, you have the chance of winning a ticket valued at $280.00 for 3 days of conference fun! If you think you can make it, please leave a comment below to enter this contest.
Please note that the winner will be responsible for all travel, food expenses, and accommodation costs incurred. This giveaway is for the conference pass only. I will select the winner from the comments via a random number generator and the contest will be open until Tuesday March 12th. The winner will be announced right here on the blog next week! Keep your eyes peeled.
Think you’d like to attend this year’s VVC? Leave a comment below to enter or pass this contest on to a friend who might be interested in going. Thanks again to Grace for her generous giveaway. Good luck to all and I hope to see you there!

Here’s one little Hawaiian girl that would love to venture to the Vida Vegan Con! We always get asked the question, “where do people in Hawaii go for vacations?” I feel a great answer to give would be PORTLAND! Looks to be a fabulous event in a place I’ve never been!
This conference will be awesome! Today, I’m celebrating my six-month veganversary with one of your recipes. May happens to be the best time to visit Portland. I’ve lived here all my life, I would know!
As I look for content and ideas to grow my website theveganwave.com this conference would be so awesome to attend. Thanks for the opportunity.

I have never heard of this conference until now and it sounds amazing. My husband is vegan and I am trying to work towards becoming one as well. We live in portland and this would be so wonderful to attend!
Thank you Grace for your very generous donation and passing along this wonderful opportunity! I’ll keep my fingers crossed and would be delighted to go.
Due to health reasons in the last 2 years, I have become a Vegan. The new way of eating is an adventure indeed. My cooking and baking has really taken a turn for the better, but there is nothing I would love more than to have the opportunity to experience this way of life on a broader spectrum, while learning and exchanging information with other fellow Vegans. It’s all so very exciting!!!
I’m new to the Vegan lifestyle, and so far am loving it! Lost some weight and have so much more energy! I love your recipes and tips – this conference would make a world of difference to my life and that of my sister’s (who I would take with me) if I won.:)
I heard of this conference last year when I first went vegan and I would absolutely love to go. I have also never been to Portland but have always wanted to go since I hear it is very veg friendly there. I am dying to check out all the vegan food options! Thank you!
This sounds amazing! Grace, you are so generous. I’d love to attend the conference and go to Portland. It’s a total win!

This contest is a great idea. Thanks for the opportunity – I would be quite happy to take a road trip to P-town for some vegan learning.
I would love, love, love to go to this conference. You have no idea how life is for vegans in Alaska. To be surrounded by a group of fellow vegans, in a vegan-friendly town is my idea of HEAVEN!
What becoming a Vegan (new) has meant to me and my family:
Preventing Heart Disease, Lower cholesterol = no more meds
Lower blood pressure = no more angst
Cured 15-year long bout of IBS = no more embarrassing accidents
Reversing diabetes = Husband, Mom and Dad each need 60% less insulin
No Emotional Eating = No more negative thoughts running around in head
Sharing vegan journey with little sis = Sisterhood
Finding a network of great vegan compadres = Great recipes, helpful information and maybe a free opportunity to go to a great conference in Portland.
I’d be thrilled to go. I love Portland and I’m sure the conference will be great.
OH! This sounds like an amazing opportunity! It was so kind of Grace to give her ticket away. I would love to expand my food knowledge and be around positive, like-minded people. Thank you for considering me! Also, when you get here to the vegan capital of the us you need to make sure that you go to Blossoming Lotus and eat every meal out! You can do that as a healthy vegan enjoying some raw foods. Fantastic, huh?
Sincerely,
Kim
