Vida Vegan Conference Ticket Giveaway
As I mentioned a while ago, I’m attending the 2013 Vida Vegan Conference (VVC) in Portland this May. What is the VVC, you might be wondering? Founded by the lovely Janessa, Michele, and Jess it’s 3 days of seminars, talks, food, fun (duh), and exhibitors all with a vegan twist. And of course, we’ll be prowling the vegan-friendly streets of Portland along the way. This will be my first time visiting Portland and as you can expect I am beyond excited. I might pee my pants actually.
When is it? The VVC 2013 will be held on Friday-Sunday, May 24-26, 2013.
Where? Portland Art Museum, 1219 Southwest Park Avenue Portland, OR 97205
Is there a schedule break down for each day? Why I’m so happy you asked. For the complete VVC schedule see here.
Recently, a reader named Grace contacted me explaining that she bought a ticket to this year’s VVC, but is sadly not able to attend anymore. And because of her super generous heart she’s offering the ticket to one lucky reader! Yes, you have the chance of winning a ticket valued at $280.00 for 3 days of conference fun! If you think you can make it, please leave a comment below to enter this contest.
Please note that the winner will be responsible for all travel, food expenses, and accommodation costs incurred. This giveaway is for the conference pass only. I will select the winner from the comments via a random number generator and the contest will be open until Tuesday March 12th. The winner will be announced right here on the blog next week! Keep your eyes peeled.
Think you’d like to attend this year’s VVC? Leave a comment below to enter or pass this contest on to a friend who might be interested in going. Thanks again to Grace for her generous giveaway. Good luck to all and I hope to see you there!
WINNER UPDATE:
I’m excited to announce that the winner is #42 – Congrats Traci! Traci wrote,”I am from Portland and will be home visiting during that time! OH WHAT A TREAT that would be!”
Traci I will shoot you an email today to get things rolling. Thanks again to Grace for her generous ticket donation and to everyone for participating.
If you are still thinking about attending the conference (and I think you should!), there are still tickets for sale.

I live in Maryland and read about the VVC earlier this year. On my weight loss journey, I adopted a vegetarian lifestyle and would *love* to go to the VVC for some encouragement as I plan to transition to veganism.
Winning a ticket to the conference would be so exciting!
Throwing my hat into the ring! A chance to see Portland would be fantastic!
What a lovely offer for Grace to pass along – thank you so much! I would love to win this – Portland is one of the three places I am keeping in mind to move to down the road, but I haven’t actually had the chance to check it out yet! The conference sounds so interesting too – I want to read more about it on their site.
A vegan conference sounds AMAZING! I have some friends who live in Portland. I would love to be able to attend this conference and visit them all in one trip. :)
I would LOVE to go to this!! Usually I just follow along on twitter, seeing all of the cool new vegan products. Being there would be amazing!!!
I would love to attend! What a wonderful way to expand my knowledge, hopefully meet you, and see the Portland area. :-)
Oh my, oh my, OH MY!!!! Winning this contest would be a dream come true! We don’t have any events like this in the Boston area, and I’d love to network with some fellow vegan bloggers and make some fun new friends. Fingers crossed I win this amazinggggg opportunity. Thanks Angela for promoting this giveaway and thank you Grace for being so generous and offering up your ticket :)

This would be great for a new vegan like me!
I am on the verge of making a life-changing switch to a full-time health and fitness career, and this blog has been with me every step of the way! If the cosmos found it appropriate to snag me a free conference pass, I’d be a fool to pass it up! Thanks for continuing to craft new and delicious, husband-friendly vegan (and often gluten-free!) recipes, Angela!
I would love to go!
I love everything about Portland and would be so super happy if I could attend this! Thank you for the opportunity!
I would DIE to attend this conference! I live in an area where being vegan is completely foreign, mocked even, so this would be an incredible experience and an invaluable learning tool. Love your blog!
I would be able to go and would very much enjoy it!!!
Oh oh oh! Please pick me random selector thingy. I would die with excitement!!!
Would love to attend! I have never been to Portland either and I live in Maine!
Thanks so much for the chance!
I would love to check this out. I have never been and it sounds awesome. :)
I live on the west coast and have traveled through Portland a few times. Last year we actually spent some time there and now we can’t wait to go back. For all of you who love to read be sure to save some time on your visit there to to to Powell’s Bookstore, the most incredible bookstore I have ever seen. It is a solid city block, mulitple stories (4 or 5?) and sells both new and used. My teenage daughter keeps asking if we can go back to Portland so we can visit Powell’s again and even my mostly non-reading husband picked up a few books to read. Whatever the subject, they have books on it!
Definitely interested!
Would love to go…thank you for the opportunity Angela and Grace!!!
This would be amazing to attend! I’ve always wanted to visit Portland.
