Happy Canada Day to all my fellow Canadians!!!!
Why I am proud to be Canadian:
I am proud to be a Canadian because we are FRIENDLY people! It sounds cliché, but it is TRUE!
I also love the beauty of our country and the diversity in climate that you find all over. Where else can you find several inches of snow in the summer?! ;) Sadly, I haven’t even visited a tiny portion of Canada’s countryside, but I would LOVE to do a cross country trip some day! :)
Yes, I love BEER, HOCKEY, and love to say ‘EH’ just like the rest of ‘em…but I DON’T live in an igloo (although I think my dad did as a kid).
And because who doesn’t love some good Canadian jokes…
CANADIAN JOKE #1
A Canadian is walking down the street with a case of beer under his arm.
His friend Doug stops him and asks, "Hey Bob! Whacha get the case of beer
for?"
"I got it for my wife, eh." answers Bob.
"Oh!" exclaims Doug, "Good trade."
CANADIAN JOKE #2
In Canada, we have two seasons…six months of winter and six months of poor snowmobiling
I hope those put a smile on your face! ;)

Woohoo, I’m excited about the SGBC! Sign me up! My best healthy living tip is to always strive for balance and moderation, and to find an exercise you love!
Happy Canada Day Angela! I love Canada – I spent 6 months on exchange in Vancouver while I was at uni. I went to UBC and made it across to Montreal as well. It was an awesome time :)
Yay! Sign me up!
My best healthy living tip? When you really REALLY don’t want to exercise – head out for a 20 minute walk or run. More often then not, you’ll just keep on going after 20 minutes, but if you don’t… at least you’ve gotten 20 minutes in!
My healthy living tip is that when you work-out, work out HARD. When I started focusing on the intensity at EVERY workout then I started getting stronger and feeling better about myself knowing I gave it 100%.
I’m in!! My healthy living tip is always find ways to sneak in exercise. I like to park far away in parking lots when I’m running errands, doing heel raises while printing copies at work, & always taking the stairs!
Darn it – missed the first day but I’m all set! My best healthy living tip: You can always DO something physical – even if it’s jumping jacks at home. Do it intensely, do it with passion and do it for a period of time (at least 30 minutes).
Hi Angela- I hope it’s not too late to join! I also missed the first day but now I am so excited to participate. My best healthy living tip is to live in moderation. Don’t beat yourself up if you overindulge one day or can’t manage to fit in a workout. If you keep feeling guilty about the little things, then you will miss out on feeling happy and beautiful. Life can be hectic and stressful, but all we can do is our best to stay active and healthy!
I sooo want to play.
My best healthy living tip is…to do some sort of exercise EVERYDAY, even if you are feeling lazing. 10 minutes is better than 0!
I started this yesterday, but I forgot to leave you a comment! I am so glad to be doing this! It’s going to be fun!
Healthy living tip: laugh, love, take care of yourself, and eat things that come from the ground.
I’m in! Sorry I missed the first day.
My heathly tip would be drinking lots of water daily!!!
Hey there! Love your blog and would love to participate in the SGBC.
My best tip is cut out all the processed junk. I have spent forever doing Weight Watchers and using up my points with processed foods with unrecognizable ingredients. Although the weight would come off I wouldhave zero energy.
Since I have started eating clean and exercising I feel a million times better!
I am very excited to participate in the SGBC! Since I’m just developing my health living habits, I will have to get back to you in a few weeks with my tip!
Count me in! My best tip is to listen to your body. Be willing to push and work hard through wanting to stop/not exercise/take it easy, but also heed its advice when it cries out for a rest day or for a workout switch-up.
I’m in! First topic of discussion at work today was needing a positive body image makeover so very appropriate that SGBC has kicked off!
My tip – make your workout a social event. How many times have you blown off a work out for time with the girls? Make your workout time part of girl time to help you stick with it!
Second tip – keep a toothbrush and toothpaste with you all the time and brush your teeth regularly. It’ll help curb your cravings (since everything tastes bad after brushing your teeth), rejuvenate you (peppermint and mint scents help you focus and be alert), and healthy teeth equal a healthy you.
Thought i’d come sign up quick as I can coz it’s already Thursday here!
My best piece of health wisdom is to be kind to yourself. Pick 5 things that make your toes curl, that you absolutely LOVE and make sure you do them each at least once a week.
I’ll have to come back to read all the other useful looking comments when I have time :)
Thanks for this, mwhaa!

My tip is to get as many greens as possible it really increases your energy.
Signing up for the challenge! My best health tip is to understand that everyone is different, so what may work for one person may not work for you. Listen to your own body!
My best healthy living tip is to start each day with a positive attitude,it is much easier to live healthy when you think positive.
I’m in!! My best healthy living tip is to listen to my body. I struggle with this one the most, and I need to learn to use food as my fuel and to listen. Learning to eat intuitively is something everyone should strive for!!
Angela
Thanks for setting all this up for us! I’m looking forward to getting the ‘GLOW’ this month. And Happy Canada Day (okay, that’s a little late)
