I had my first One Lucky Duck experience in NYC after hearing so many good things about it over the past few years. One Lucky Duck was founded in 2005 by Sarma Melngailis, the co-creator of the Manhattan raw food restaurant, Pure Food and Wine. Sarma started One Lucky Duck to help bring the raw, vegan and organic lifestyle out of the underground and into the mainstream.
At One Lucky Duck, you can find all kinds of amazing raw vegan snacks from raw macaroons to chocolate chip cookies, handmade in small batches in the kitchen at NYC’s raw vegan restaurant, Pure Food and Wine.
We visited the Chelsea Market location and I was so excited to step inside this cafe!
We did all kinds of NYC sightseeing on this day of our travels, so the market was a nice change of pace after rushing around all day.
I bashfully asked the server if I could snap a picture or two. I don’t know about you other bloggers, but I get shy when I take pictures of food…!
It’s a really cute & cozy cafe. All of their products are on the wall including a fridge for fresh juices and whatnot. I got myself a few goodies (macaroons, raw chocolate, and buckwheat crispies) and a shot of wheatgrass for good measure.
It was hard to choose! I’ve somehow managed to open everything over the past few days and everything tastes incredible. I especially fell in love with the buckwheat cinnamon crispies (below). Maybe I can make these at home too? It’s on my list. ;)

This contest is open to anyone, anywhere in the world.
I LOVE Kale Chips……..I always think those are such a big treat and adore them
FRUIT! I could totally live off of all the amazing kinds of fruit, I don’t know why I always forget when I have to answer “what’s your favourite food?” PS Angela I always really appreciate how you have your giveways open to anyone, anywhere. I know it can be a little more difficult (read: expensive) and I have mad respect that you make them accessible for ANY of your readers!
While my favorite food is pumpkin, my favorite vegan product would be Endangered Species brand chocolate, it always hits the spot.
I love all sorts of vegan food– it is really impossible to choose. From awesome yet heathful sweets to savory main courses, I have never felt deprived eating a vegan diet. That said, my favorite vegan food would probably have to be the oh-so-simple air popped popcorn drizzled with olive oil and a sprinkle of nutritional yeast. I eat this at least 3 or 4 times a week– so delicious!
I love almond milk!
It is hard to choose one, favorite Vegan food…but I have recently become addicted to your overnight oats! So many delicious, vegan combinations!
Glad you had such a nice time in New York (and that you ate so well on your visit)!
My favorite vegan food… oh boy, how can a girl pick just one?! Anything chocolate would probably top the list, though I’m a huge fan of oatmeal (and just had pumpkin pie oats for the first time–inspired by your recipe), waffles, peanut butter, quinoa, chickpeas, anything made with curry… Need I continue? :P
I love roasted chickpeas! They are so good on their own or thrown in a salad.
Kale chips! Any raw vegan gourmet food. Or vegan pad Thai!
I don’t think i can pick just one vegan food, I’m so enthralled daily of food that IS vegan not one specific thing. I love to cook so i’m so thrilled as to the array of things i can make as a vegan. I LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE vegan baked goods. Right now my current obsession is chocolate banana wheat muffins. I LOVE raw foods too, and I’d love anything from One Lucky Duck. I devour Kale chips like its my job too.
Fruit!!
One of my favorite vegan foods is a turkey! My Mom told me about an Ellen (TV talk show) that featured this holiday vegan turkey. It’s really incredible & is exactly thanksgiving. One of the main ingredients is wheat gluten, which I enjoy & get all of the protein from! It’s so good, takes a little time to cook, but so worth it! My second runner up is edamame. I cannot get enough of it. Quick, easy & so delicious! Thanks for posting a giveaway! Your New York trip looks like a lot of fun!
I would say your vegan overnight oats are one of my top picks.
My one of my favorite vegan food is actually your vegan Adore bar! :) I ordered the variety pack and fell in love with it. No other bar tastes like yours. I gave one to my friend and she love it too! (She is not a vegan or vegetarian!). Thanks for introducing Lucky Duck and the other NYC vegan restaurants. I hope to go there one day and try those vegan food!
Grace :)

It’s so hard to choose! Kale chips, almond milk, nutritional yeast, and ground flax are at the top of the list!
