Doctor Kracker Product Review

October 7, 2009

Good afternoon!

I think it is safe to say that this place is a complete baking madhouse!!!

Some of you were asking me what my apron says on it (featured in the video yesterday!)

 IMG_5022

Yup, I’m the Queen of Tarts…thanks mom! lol. Cheeky isn’t she?

I was given this sample at the CHFA Trade Show. Ok, ok, I wasn’t supposed to have it, but after sampling it I had to have some. I begged Dr. Kracker for a box.

I can’t even begin to tell you how much I love this Flatbread.

I tried the Seedlander flavour.

Oh. Me. Oh. My.

IMG_5016

Each cracker is about the size of my hand.

IMG_5017

It is the crunchiest Kracker I have ever tasted in my life. I love me a good crunch. This would be off the wall delicious paired with salsa or hummus.

And then I was extremely disappointed when I went to the website to order some online.

They are pretty expensive!

One box will cost you almost $21 bucks. For 6 boxes of 6 flatbreads that is. Expensive, but not as expensive as I thought! I still don’t think I would shell out that much money for them.

What are your favourite crackers?

I LOVE Dr. Kracker, but yeah, they are expensive. There’s a place down here called Jason’s Deli that has a similar product on their salad bar and I must admit that I throw one or two into my purse after eating. Soo freaking addicting! But you know, since you’re such a genius in the kitchen, you could probably make your own version :)

You make get a kick out of this, I just recently bought those same flatbreads (not for $21 either they sell them at my local store for about $5 a box)I decided I would take one of the crackers for my snack at work and I set it on a table and next thing I knew everyone was swarming around the craker and asking me all theese questions and one was “What is that?? Are you eating birdfood now??”…and they were seroius. lol

Ummm, $21!?!?! Think of all the amazing food you could buy with that amount of money! That is about 5-6 boxes of Kashi crackers, which happen to be my favorit!

Wow, those are $$$!

I like blue diamond nut crackers since I can’t eat gluten. They are really crispy and crunchy!

OH wow, yes I’d say your house is now a full-fledged bakery! Those crackers sound delicious, but $21 a box is pretty steep. It better be one HUGE box! haha

Wow, $21! I don’t blame you for passing on that one. So sad. I’m not a big cracker eater myself but when I have I do like the Wasa and Ryvita brands.

That seems way too expensive for a cracker! I like Wasa crackers and Back to Nature as well.

Cute video Angela.

Seeing all of your Uline products makes me miss home desperately. I work for my family from Philly now but obviously am not near all the shipping stuff. I miss seeing everyone every day and randomly defacing their desks with fragile and hazardous stickers haha

Just checked the website, the “pack of 6” is a box with 6 boxes of crackers… like a case. That’s not THAT bad.

at whole foods in toronto and oakville one box costs close to $8…now that’s crazy expensive!

i’ve always wanted to try this brand…but i’d rather have kelp noodles!

=)

thanks for the review though…i’ve always wondered whether they would be worth it or not…

I’ve been buying these crackers for a while and have never paid $21 a box – but I would seriously think about it! LOVELOVELOVE the Seedlander, but the Cheddar Pumpkin Seed is really good to. Think I pay around $4 at Whole Foods….
