Cuisinart 12-Cup Food Processor Giveaway!

December 2, 2013

giveawayohsheglows

Can you believe it’s December 2nd? I say, bring on the red dresses, cocktails, decorating, cookies, and parties. I’m so ready to end the year with a fun and festive month.

I’ve been busy behind the scenes partnering with some of my favourite brands for a special giveaway month on Oh She Glows. This month, we’ll be giving away some amazing prizes to lucky blog readers! I’ve only included products/brands that I love, so you can be sure all of these items are hand-picked and things I actually use in my own life. I’ll be spreading out the giveaways from now until the end of December (and don’t worry, I’ll still share some tasty holiday recipes along the way too!).

Enter for a chance to win a 12-Cup Cuisinart Food Processor

Ok, up for grabs today is this beautiful Cuisinart 12-Cup Food Processor donated by Cuisinart. I’ve been using my Cuisinart food processor for at least a couple years now and I absolutely love it. It’s definitely the best quality machine I’ve used to date. As I say, it takes a licking and keeps on ticking!

I’m testing out a new giveaway system called Rafflecopter, so please see the box below for the 3 ways you can enter this contest. You can enter one way or all 3 ways to increase your chance of winning. Please note that the contest is open to US and Canadian residents only.

Good luck!

My teaching semester ends on the 18th. Once it’s done I plan to rest and catch up with my family and friends.

Hi Angela!
Like you, I have struggled with an eating disorder and was very in the depths of it last year. This year, I am doing much better and am looking forward to simple things in life: having enough energy to shop ’til I drop, baking Xmas cookies, traveling and excitement of going to a new place, cozying up with good books, having tea, and playing in the snow. All of these things and more were missed out on last year and in years past because I was struggling and felt like I didn’t deserve them. This year, I feel like I’m going overboard with celebrating and loving every second, probably because I’m making up for joy missed in the past!

I can’t wait to go home when school gets out and relax, see friends and family, and do some good quality Christmas cooking- I don’t get to cook nearly enough at school!

I am looking forward to working on Christmas with the amazing Young Women’s Group I work with in addictions counseling at a Drug and Alcohol Treatment Center. Following that, I am looking forward to coming home, exhausted and hungry, to a home-cooked vegan meal by my husband (who will definitely be choosing some Ohsheglows recipes) at my parents. Then, I hope to watch Charlie Brown Christmas and pass out in my own drool on the couch.

After the end of this holiday season, I look forward to starting 2014 healthy! As a remedy for 2 different health conditions, I’ve been working hard at totally changing my eating habits. My primary goal is to eat whole foods as much as possible, & I’m also trying to eat more alkaline foods, fermented/cultured foods, & lots & lots of fiber. Conversely, I’m trying to avoid entirely, or minimize my intake of, several specific foods that can aggravate my conditions, such as:
• caffeinated/decaffeinated drinks, carbonated drinks, & alcohol;
• full-dairy, most oils, most red meat, most nuts/seeds, & other high-fat foods;
• salt, black pepper & spicy foods;
• chocolate, sugar & artificial sweeteners; &
• grains.
Not all of these changes have become habit yet, but I’m optimistic that once I get through December while sticking to my plan, 2014 will be a fantastic year health-wise! Winning a new Cuisinart 12-Cup Processor would be a great way to ring in the new year, & it’d also help me prepare healthy meals more quickly & efficiently.

I’m looking forward to coming home from college and seeing my family! It’s my first semester away, and my dad’s and brother’s diets have consisted solely of pizza since I left, so I can’t wait to make them some delicious and healthy Oh She Glows recipes.
