A Man’s Liquid Crystal

by Angela (Oh She Glows) on December 30, 2008

So, as you all have probably been wondering….

What about the flatscreen Ange was buying Eric for their one-year-since-their-engagement suprise???

So I present to you the new Sharp 52″ bad boy (on sale!):

Here he is with his new box:

She’s a beaut, ain’t she!? He has just been glowing since he bought it home. :) I love seeing him so happy about something.

As Eric says…‘You got your big shiny diamond, now I get my Liquid Diamond.”

(LCD stands for Liquid Crystal Display- I didn’t know this of course :D)

It is really fun playing Wii on this bad boy!!

We played again last night and I am even more sore from boxing and tennis! My arms are going to be cut pretty soon I tell ya! I would really like to get the Wii Fit some day…my BIL got it and it was really fun to play! And tough!

Well, after Melissa‘s awesome review of 30-Day Shred I decided to order it on Amazon.ca.

Might I just say that their ABS are phenomenal???

Hopefully I will get it by Friday!?

I am often asked how I have the motivation to workout every morning. What keeps me going for those long hour runs on the boring treadmill?

It’s all about the music!

Here are some of my favourite workout tunes that keep me going while on the treadmill. These ones below are the ones I most frequently have been listening to lately:

Armin van Buuren ft. Sharon den Adel, “In and Out of Love” [I am obsessed with this song!]

Ok, lunch break is over. It is just me and another girl here at work today- but as luck would have it we have a FULL, long day of work ahead of us. Yuk!

What are your plans for New Year’s Eve???

Eric and I have had a few offers but haven’t decided. One is a Stag and Doe of an acquaintance, another is a party at my brother’s house, and another is going to a bar in Toronto ($$$$- not a fan of spending that kind of money!)

Nice TV, I would love to play some Wii on that thing!!

I agree, the motivation to workout is soooo mental, and music is the fuel behind it all for me. Great tunes :)

I’ll probably be spending some major $$$ at a bar or two in Dallas for New Year’s Eve, but hopefully, it’ll be worth it ;)

I did a few of Jilian’s workouts that were OnDemand and they were great. I can’t wait to hear about your new DVD.

We are going to a wedding reception on NYE. Hopefully it will be fun. I am just glad that we won’t be spending several hundred dollars like we did the past few years. AND I just found out that there is a FREE cab service in Denver! I bet you all can find something like that in your areas as well.

Hi Angela!

Thank for reading my blog!!

I was never a runner before I decided to run the marathon. I would take spinning classes or yoga but always thought running wasn’t for me. I didn’t have knee problems before the marathon, I was overall pretty healthy. I didn’t start feeling the knee issues until we got up into the high mileage days like 16 miles or so…. I don’t know when I’ll be able to run again because the dr. said to stay off it a couple more weeks due to my knees still being swollen from the marathon. I’m bummed but looking forward to running again!

GU is a long distance runner’s best friend. They are about $1 each and it’s a small packet of a honey like substance (various flavors out there though). You eat them when you run 45 minutes-hour or longer. It helps fuel your body and can also give you electrolytes. I started taking them after we got up into 8 or 9 mile runs. I like the GU brand but there are many out there. I think it would be a good thing for you to try on one of your longer runs.

Good luck!!!

Your hubby must be so happy with that TV ! I have the 30 day shred DVD and its great. I consider myself in very good shape and I must say every time I do it it kicks my butt and I am drenched in sweat by the time I am done. I also have the biggest loser Cardio Max and its really hard too.
