I had my first One Lucky Duck experience in NYC after hearing so many good things about it over the past few years. One Lucky Duck was founded in 2005 by Sarma Melngailis, the co-creator of the Manhattan raw food restaurant, Pure Food and Wine. Sarma started One Lucky Duck to help bring the raw, vegan and organic lifestyle out of the underground and into the mainstream.
At One Lucky Duck, you can find all kinds of amazing raw vegan snacks from raw macaroons to chocolate chip cookies, handmade in small batches in the kitchen at NYC’s raw vegan restaurant, Pure Food and Wine.
We visited the Chelsea Market location and I was so excited to step inside this cafe!

We did all kinds of NYC sightseeing on this day of our travels, so the market was a nice change of pace after rushing around all day.
I bashfully asked the server if I could snap a picture or two. I don’t know about you other bloggers, but I get shy when I take pictures of food…!
It’s a really cute & cozy cafe. All of their products are on the wall including a fridge for fresh juices and whatnot. I got myself a few goodies (macaroons, raw chocolate, and buckwheat crispies) and a shot of wheatgrass for good measure.
It was hard to choose! I’ve somehow managed to open everything over the past few days and everything tastes incredible. I especially fell in love with the buckwheat cinnamon crispies (below). Maybe I can make these at home too? It’s on my list. ;)

Vegan choc chip cookies!!! So yummy!!
Falafel would definitely be my favorite vegan food. Not necessarily the healthiest but so delicious!
My favorite vegan food is those “sour cream” and onion kale chips. Delicious!
Extra thick rolled oats, brown sugar, ground cinnamon, ground ginger, canned pumpkin, a big scoop of raw almond butter, and raisins. MMMM makes me a powerhouse!!
Kale Chips!!
Quinoa, I would have to say is so versatile. I use it in burritos, salads, sandwiches (filler with other stuff in pockets). Plus, it helps debunk all those “how do you get your protein?” questions I get when I talk about my diet.
Morningstar vegan sausage patties!
Hands down – green monsters are my favorite!
Glad you had fun in NYC!
I’ve become obsessed with vegan muffins – blueberry, apple! They are so good, and bye-bye to any trace of unncessary fat! Yum!
my favorite vegan food is anything from Curly’s Vegetarian Lunch in NYC. it’s the kind of food that you crave late at night!
I love almond milk so much! Also I adore Nakd cashew cookie bars, raw and vegan. Not sure if they are available outside the UK but I highly recommend!
I am a quinoa lover. Too bad that I can’t get hubby on board the fan bandwagon.
Vegan Chili! I am Texan so when I started to eat Vegan, I thought pulling this off would be very difficult….but it’s AMAZING! And it’s perfect in the winter too! :)
vegan macaroons
Right now I’m obsessed with all of your cheeze sauces: for tacos, noodles, dipping veggies, etc.
oatmeal chocolate chip cookies at the local vegan bakery
My favorite food would have to be your weekend glow kale salad…I’m addicted!!! Can’t stop eating it…someone send help…LOL!
Hello! Thank you so much for the giveaway! :D
One of my favorite vegan food is your Mac ‘n’ Cheeze. Also on the top of the list : raw almond butter! :P
My favourite vegan food is probably a yum-in-my-tum vegan taco with a whole wheat tortilla, chick peas, spinach, green pepper, onion, and chunky homemade salsa. For good measure, a dash of Daiya cheese if I’m feeling it ;) I could live off of them, it’s definitely a staple in my hectic university lifestyle.
I have been reading your blog for a few years now and this is the first time I have commented, but I would love to win the lovely package of goodies mmmmm
I am not a vegan but do love to try all things…I would have to say that my all time fav vegan food (right now) is your kale chips (but I am looking to make a few more of your recipes, so that could change very quickly) …my hubby is addicted to all chips so I made those and he loved them as much as I did *winner*
My favorite vegan food is beans and rice with lots of vegetables in it!
How to choose?? I’ve been going crazy on the almond milk lately so I’m going to go with that, but seriously, there are so many things going through my mind right now. Suddenly, I’m hungry :D
