I am loving warm lunches more and more as the weather gets colder!
I whipped up a ‘5 minute’ stir-fry for lunch:
- 1 zucchini
- 1/2 cup cherry tomatoes
- 3/4 cup chickpeas
- PC Sun-dried tomato seasoning (LBD!)
- red wine vinegar + EVOO
On the side I had a high protein pita by Pita Gourmet smeared with tomato paste (hello, lycopene!!!).
With a Naval orange. The sticker was promptly placed somewhere for Eric to find. ;)
Snack was a Present Glo Bar. Officially my fav. kind. You can quote me on that.
I also rocked the festive Candy Cane Lane Green Tea by Celestial Seasonings. I just couldn’t wait until Dec 1st!!!
So fresh and minty!
I had an awesome workout today:
- 40 min. treadmill hill workout (speed 4.0, incline 10%)
I am always asked if I do the full time at that speed and incline and the answer is yes, unless I note otherwise. It’s tough! I usually do 15% incline, but I have been switching it up a bit lately to work other muscles.
I also rocked out Whittle My Middle.
My abs are feeling SO tight. I honestly am loving this challenge, even though I curse like a trucker when I do it…hahaha. You think I’m joking but I’m not. ;)

Canadian Oral-B Triumph Giveaway!
I was delighted when Oral-B contacted me to review the Oral-B Triumph on Oh She Glows. I have always wanted to try out an electric toothbrush, but I never wanted to commit to one without knowing if it would work. I didn’t want to review it without also being able to give one away, so I was delighted when Oral-B agreed to do a contest giveaway on OSG!
Now you know me, I typically don’t gush over products unless I really love them, but I am absolutely smitten with this electric toothbrush!
The Triumph works so well that I feel like I am walking out of the dentist’s office every time I use it. It removed my plaque after just 2 uses and made my teeth so smooth. It is a great tool for me since I have had to decrease my dental visits when my insurance cut out. I feel like this toothbrush will make the difference between visits.
The timer is brilliant. Absolutely brilliant. I admit, I was guilty for ‘speed brushing’ my teeth. I am often so tired I won’t put the time in, however since using the Triumph, I have brushed my teeth for a full 2 minutes, twice daily. I consider this a miracle because I am lazy. ;)
The timer guides you through each section (30 seconds in each quadrant) and then you are rewarded with a smiley face after 2 minutes. Maybe I am secretly a 7 year old hiding in an adult’s body, but this just makes my day!!
For a chance to win an Oral-B Triumph (suggested retail price $179.99):
- Leave a comment telling me something about your teeth. Do you like the dentist? Do you go at regular intervals? Do you floss? Do you need a tool like this to give you a kick in the butt like me? :)
Rules: Contest open to Canadian residents only. Contest closes Thursday Dec. 3rd at noon EST. Please leave a valid email address.
Goodluck!
Don’t worry US residents, there is an exclusive US contest coming up on OSG this week! Think YOGA!

I have never even had a cavity!! Although, I had almost $5000 worth of braces and head gear…..
Oh you picked something close to my heart:) This IS a great toothbrush – dentist approved!
I try very hard to take care of my teeth. Went 18 years without a cavity! Got a tiny one due to 5 years of braces and my inability to reach the spot! Darn it! But I love going to the dentist. After so much money was spent on braces…I feel it’s super important to keep them clean and healthy. And a toothbrush like that would definitely do that haha!
I grew up without a dental plan, and therefore have always felt badly about my teeth. They are crooked and braces are out of the question – my only recourse is to keep them white and healthy!! My electric toothbrush didn’t make it in my last move, and I would LOVE to have this on to replace it.
I have always wanted one, but the price has always been a factor, when I wasn’t sure how it would work. It’s good to hear a review.
I have trouble with recedding gums, boo! I apparently brush too hard, so I think this would help!
oooo I would LOVE to try an electric toothbrush.
I’ll tell ya something about my teeth!…I had braces for almost 5 years. It was too long and they always hurt when they had to tighten them. I might even need to get braces again because…turns out my teeth like to move (even with a retainer!) Boo.
I love that my teeth have always been a pretty white colour. I get a lot of compliments on them and I actually have never minded the dentist. However, I’m horrible about flossing. :(
As a matter of fact I have a dentist appointment on Thursday at 1pm. I haven’t been in…well I’m waaaaaay past due anyway. I always brush, and usually floss. I am definitely guilty of speed brushing sometimes (especially at night when I’m EXHAUSTED).
Eeek also gotta get these wisdom teeth out!
What a delicious dish! I’m saving this recipe for sure!
I definitely should floss more often :)
I need to find a new dentist in Toronto! I do floss every day though…and brush my teeth after lunch at work, even though no one else seems to!
I go to the dentist twice a year and he always complains that I don’t floss enough. I like the idea of the timer since I’m sure I don’t brush for 2 minutes exactly. The happy face is the icing on the cake!
Argh..I wish this was open to US residents, I would love to have that timer (and the toothbrush, ofcrouse) LOL I am SUCH a kid. ;O)
I love flossing.
I would love an electric toothbrush!!
my parents both have one and love it…it’s just not one of those things that you wanna ask for for a bday or xmas present
i definitely do not floss my teeth as much as i should…but i’m working on it
Oooh! I’ve heard other great things about this toothbrush!! My wisdom teeth are growing in right now, and I need a toothbrush that will give them a good clean ;)
I have an electric toothbrush and could not live without it. I have been doing whittle my middle and was very sore the first few days but now anymore. Any suggestions? I do feel much tighter…after having a baby a year ago I thought I’d never be the same and I’m starting to feel much better.
Ugh I am ashamed to say that I probably floss once a week when I remember, and I usually only brush my teeth once a day – at night, because I am always in a rush in the morning! Maybe a fun new toothbrush will inspire me!?
I am embarrassed to admit that we’ve fallen off the dental bandwagon in my house. We used to go religiously every six months (which, despite regular flossing & brushing, almost always resulted in at least one cavity for me) but we haven’t been in more than a year now. I try to brush (with a Spinbrush) for as long as I can twice a day, but my flossing habits are shameful and I’m sure I’ve got another cavity festering somewhere in my mouth :( Getting back on to regular dental visits is already high on my 2010 to-do list. We don’t have insurance either, but the money spent for regular cleanings + putting in a bit of effort at home is definitely worth it if it means we aren’t shelling out hundreds of dollars on extra x-rays and fillings!
I go through good and bad periods with the flossing. Usually right before and right after trips to the dentist is when I am good about it.
My teeth are in decent shape but I am definitely guilty of not brushing long enough! It is so boring!
