Review It: Mary’s Organic Crackers

Morning everyone!

My morning has already been busy with driving and I haven’t even left for my commute yet! I drove Eric to the Train station this morning, and little did I know it would take me an hour and 10 mins there and back! On the way back, there was an accident on the highway so it took me about 40 mins. longer than it should have. Doh! :

Luckily, I wasn’t planning on leaving for work until 9:30am…aka…12 mins. from now so I need to hurry! :D

2) Mary’s Organic Crackers

This was the first time I tried these crackers. I was immediately drawn to them because of their high content of flax seeds and sesame seeds (two of my favs!).

The have a great nutritional profile with 3 grams of fibre and 3 grams of protein per serving. They also have 4.5 grams of healthy fats (from the flax and sesame seeds).

The taste?

A bit ‘rice-like’ at first, but after I ate more and more I really liked the nutty and distinct flavour! They were even better with a bit of guacomole and hummus on them. :D

Rating?

4.25/5 stars

I will buy these again, but I am going to check out their other flavours!

I’m off for a long commute to work! Wish me luck!

Hope you have a healthy and happening Tuesday!

i JUST saw your comment from like two weeks ago about my avocado allergy!!! sorry!!

here’s my response:

oh she glows – it was very obvious i was allergic to avocado. the first instance, i was about 8 and sat under an avocado tree and had a severe skin reaction. the second time, i was about 10 and put on an avocado face mask – same thing, massive hives. allergy attacks compound over time, so the next time i came into contact with avocado, it was big. i accidently ingested it while eating sushi and i almost had to be rushed to the hospital. i was covered head to toe in hives, couldnt breathe, had to go on steroids, etc etc. it was bad.

if you think you are allergic, i would be careful, because like i said, each time your body is exposed to the allergen, your reaction gets stronger and stronger.

there is actually a very common cross-reaction between avocado and latex. are you allergic to latex? i found that out the hard way too.

I had an annoying commute as well… the subway train in front of mine had to make an emergency stop which left my train just sitting there with the doors closed for 20 minutes before moving again. Oh well…

Those crackers look great – and wheat free! Score!
