I’m so excited to introduce you to our newest bundle of joy!
Arlo is home after a fast and furious entrance into the world this past Wednesday. We’re so happy and in love. I honestly don’t know how we ever lived without this little snuggle bug. He’s just so stinkin’ sweet. I want to freeze time because I know how quickly it flies. At 6 days old, it already seems like it’s going by way too fast, which I know probably sounds crazy.
Adriana is pretty smitten with little brother too; she’s assumed the role of doting big sis, making sure she lets us know if his blankie or hat falls off (“Hat off, hat off!”) and showering him with kisses and some “Wake up, Arlo!” screams for good measure. And questionable poking, lots of questionable poking.
This labour was completely different from the first. It started very slowly and sporadically over the course of a few days, and then it suddenly became fast, dramatic, and intense very quickly (just like my midwife warned). There were tears and f-bombs dropping, and that was before I even got to the hospital. I’m working on writing Arlo’s birth story, and I’ll link to the post here when it’s up! Right now it’s just a ton of random point form (with a few funny moments told by Eric…lol). I also have a few recipe posts planned for the coming weeks, so keep your eyes peeled for those, too.
Thanks again for all of your well wishes over the past week. It really means the world to us!
With love from the (sleepy) Liddons,
xo

Hey, that’s my dogs name! :)
Congratulations Angela, wishing you lots of joy with little Arlo and the family! Glad to hear Adriana is an attentive, protective big sister :-) Looking forward to reading Arlo’s birth story and your experience (curious to hear whether the EPI-NO worked), but until then, get some rest, Arlo is a beautiful little boy! :-)
Congratulations. He is so beautiful. I haven’t commented on anything you have posted until now, but I admire and respect you so much, Angela. You are a lovely person, wife, and mother. AND a marvelous cook. I have both of your cookbooks and love them. YOu are an amazing woman. Rest now. I will look forward to your birth post and the new recipes, but do give yourself a break.
Congratulations – well done, he looks beautiful:)
A million congrats, Angela (and Eric)! He is so stinkin’ adorable and a cute name to boot! I can’t wait to read the birth story. Adriana sounds like she’s loving the big sister role- the “questionable poking” is too funny haha.
Congratulations Angela & Eric! He’s a cutie!
Congratulations! I love the photos. I cannot wait to read his birth story! Such a sweetie pie!
Congratulations Angela, he is so beautiful. You are an amazing supermom. Wish you all the best!

Welcome to the world sweet Arlo!!!! ❤️❤️
Omgosh, congratulations!!! What a beautiful boy!!! Thank you for sharing with us his beautiful pictures!!! All the best to your family!!! *Hugs*
Welcome to the world Arlo! Our little boy has the same lovely name and turns two this Sunday. Glad there is another one out there. My husband jokes that you should name your next book “Oh She Glows Again” :)
“Oh She Still Glows”? :-)
Congratulations, Angela! I’m so glad Arlo is here. I love his name!
“it suddenly became fast, dramatic, and intense very quickly”
My Mother in law had the same problem with baby number two. Her first baby took 24 hours of labor, but said that most of the labor was spent at home and pretty manageable. So for baby number two (aka my hubby) she was like “whatever, I’ve got time!” at some point her water broke, and it was a race to make it to the hospital (and involved being stranded by her husband so he could park the car, tears, strangers helping her into the hospital, and not getting the epidural) It is a pretty funny story when she tells it. XD
Congratulations to the happy, sleepy Lidons!!! And can i just say i love this little guys name, what a great choice.
Congratulations. Such an adorable and handsome baby boy.
Congratulations <3 Such a beautiful addition to your family!
Congratulations! I’m a mama to daughter and two boys. Raising boys is such a joyful experience. You’ll love it!
