Vitamix 5200 Giveaway!

December 10, 2013

5200_Black_Right

I’ve been looking forward to this giveaway for over a month now! I’m so excited for whoever is going to win this beauty. =)

I’ve been a big fan of Vitamix since I took the plunge and bought one a few years ago. I’m not joking when I say that I use it every single day (usually for smoothies for Eric and I) and sometimes, multiple times a day depending on how many recipes I’m testing. It liquefies kale like a dream and blends cashews into a cream! Oh boy, I’m rhyming now. I better stop…

Here are some exciting specs about the Vitamix 5200 (retail value is $579 CAD):

  • The ability to chop, cream, blend, heat, grind, churn, and more, with a single machine
  • Quick and easy self-cleaning with a drop of dish soap and warm water; just run on High for 30 second
  • 7-year full warranty
  • Easy-to-use equipment paired with extreme versatility
  • Create smoothies, hot soups, and frozen desserts with a single machine.
  • 64-ounce container

A big thank you to Vitamix for donating this blender to one lucky Oh She Glows winner!

Wow! What a wonderful gift for someone! I’ve heard this is the best blender out there and it would be great to have in my kitchen. ;) Happy Holidays!

Angela!! Oh my sweet merciful. No wonder your’re only hosting the giveaway for 1 day. I cannot get over the number of entries there are in this contest, LOL!!! Well in any case, I hope to win this Vitamix for my Boyfriend. He’s been making (messy) smoothies with our tiny and probably dangeous blender. He mentioned he wanted one of these, and I looked up the price to get it for him for Christmas, but holy moses I didn’t realize how pricey they were! I really hope to win, because a shoe-shining kit isn’t really the most best gift ever, right? I outdid myself last year and surprised him with a trip to Quebec City. A vitamix would definitely make him happy!!!

Crikey. I’m sorry if my first entry didn’t count – my fav smoothie? Probably anything chocolate flavoured and as long as I don’t have to make it – I’ll drink it!

Nothing like exam time to motivate me to juice & blend more. Just made the most amazing smoothie today (chai, vanilla, soy yogurt, soy milk, banana, pear) & would love a Vitamix!

I love using the frozen mixed berries from Costco along with a couple of ripe bananas. Mix it all together with some homemade almond milk, flax meal, nuts (whatever is on-hand), vanilla, cinnamon and kale….yum!

I have to go with old faithful, my go to smoothie is always: spinach, half a banana, blueberries, a scoop of plain Greek yogurt, and unsweetened vanilla almond milk.

I don’t really have a way to make the kind of smoothies I would like, so I’m excited to be entered for a vitamix! I’ve been working on urban, organic farms for the last 4 years, so have access to amazing food, just don’t have the funds for something as nice as a vitamix. I’d love to experiment with some green smoothies, and play around with seasonal and regional fruit and veggies.

Would LOVE a vitamix! Currently I don’t even have a blender, and let me tell you – a food processor really just does not take its place!

my favorite smoothie is banana-choco peanut butter!!! its so great and so refreshing, especially when a blender like a vitamin with such force can pulverize all the ice!

1 frozen banana
2 Tbl. raw cacao
1 Tbl. unsalted peanut butter
1 scoop raw vegan protein powder
2 handfuls of spinach (can’t taste it!)
handful of ice

yum yumyum!
