I’ve been looking forward to this giveaway for over a month now! I’m so excited for whoever is going to win this beauty. =)
I’ve been a big fan of Vitamix since I took the plunge and bought one a few years ago. I’m not joking when I say that I use it every single day (usually for smoothies for Eric and I) and sometimes, multiple times a day depending on how many recipes I’m testing. It liquefies kale like a dream and blends cashews into a cream! Oh boy, I’m rhyming now. I better stop…
Here are some exciting specs about the Vitamix 5200 (retail value is $579 CAD):
- The ability to chop, cream, blend, heat, grind, churn, and more, with a single machine
- Quick and easy self-cleaning with a drop of dish soap and warm water; just run on High for 30 second
- 7-year full warranty
- Easy-to-use equipment paired with extreme versatility
- Create smoothies, hot soups, and frozen desserts with a single machine.
- 64-ounce container
A big thank you to Vitamix for donating this blender to one lucky Oh She Glows winner!

My favourite smoothie combination is yogurt, kiwi, and strawberry, with a little vanilla. What I’d be really excited about, though, is being able to grind my own gluten-free flours for baking for my partner, who has celiac disease.
My favourite smoothie is vanilla almond milk with banana and peanut butter.
my favorite smoothie combo is strawberries, banana, almond milk, honey, & spinach!
kale, blueberries, pear, hemp hearts, pomegranate juice, yogurt
My take on a vegan, low-fat, NA, Ginger Mojito Smoothie (inspired by a really great, made from scratch, ginger ale served at Northstar Cafe in Columbus, Ohio):
2 Oranges, peeled and remove the middle white core material
Juice of 1 lime
1 thumb of ginger grated (I use a micro plane)
A few springs of fresh mint leaves, removed from the stem.
1/2 to 1 cup of ice to taste
Put everything except the ice in the best blender you can find (A Vitamix would work wonderfully!)
If you prefer at this point you can strain the mixture to remove the pulp. This may be necessary if your blender is not very powerful. If you have a Vitamix or other commercial grade, high-speed blender, the fiber will be really small and – it’s good for you! I personally leave the fiber.
Then add the ice and blend until smooth. Garnish with a few whole mint leaves.
I love strawberry and banana!
What a merry Christmas it would be if I could whip up soups and sauces and delicious treats for my family with a brand new Vitamix!
Vega vanilla chai and blueberries with almond milk
This is awesome! I’ve wanted one for so long!
My favorite smoothie combo is red grapes, spinach, celery, ginger, lemon, banana, cucumber and ice!
My favorite smoothie is almond milk+peeled oranges+strawberries (or raspberries) :)
I could totally use a vitamix! My poor kitchenaid mixer is on its last kegs. I guess daily morning shakes will do that!
I would absolutely love the vitamix and make all your wonderful smoothies :)
My favourite smoothie combo will always be raspberry peanut butter. I love to add in a spoonful of blackstrap molasses for iron as well – it’s so delicious!
orange juice, coconut water, kale, banana, apple smoothie!
I need this for my smoothies!
I like to make chocolate chip mint green smoothies… coconut milk, yogurt, spinach, mint extract, banana, protein powder, and chocolate chips. Its better than ice cream :)
Banana-Strawberries-Yogurt!
I love a green smoothie filled with fresh celery, parsley, kale, ginger, and apple. I also love a simple banana peanut butter smoothie after a run! Thanks so much for the great giveaway.

I really like your recipes that include proteins from quinoa, wheatberries, and lentils. Your recipes encouraged me to try some of them for the first time. The salads are delicious and very satisfying!
